Why would denner wait for the buyback first before bailing? I would not be shocked if he bails at this point but I would guess he would try and drive the price up first. But now I dont see him sticking around for more than another six months to a year. He will either sell the company or sell his shares
He should just sell the company now for what he can get. They way this is going I am sure he did not expect things to pan out like this and I doubt he see's this ever being bought out for big money now. Does he really want to sit around another four or five years on this thing when revenue is going the wong direction?
At this point we dont even know if there will be a buyback. If they announce there is no buyback we probably go down to 52 week lows that would be pretty grim when you consider this was supposed to be the time when all this great news was supposed to start happening. I am staring to beleive there are certain things that really are cursed and AMRN certainly is starting to look like one of them.
Well if he resigned that is worst case. Their hand picked guy leaves on this own means there must be even more serious issus going on than we know about. Why in the world would he leave on his own if things were going good and he had all those stock options? Its like another massive bomb is about to hit and he got out before.
I thought he was fired?
At this point i think most would do backflips for 7 a share. Heck I would take 5 a share at this point but right now I highly doubt anyone is even interested.
Not dead but very wounded. The buyback is a must
I dont even care about making money anymore on AMRN I would just be happy to break even and get out. I have several other way more promising bio's right now with near term catalysts where I dont have to sit around another two years hoping they can turn it around. I have not bought any amrn in like six months been putting my money into those now.
I agree. At this point the buyback is probably needed just to get us over a buck again so we avoid getting delisted in 5 months.
I think we were all so frusturated with the way things had been going and were desperate for change. Many sited denners one deal and alot of us fell for it. If I had it to do over again I would not vote for denner again. I think the stock was still 2 bucks when he took over. And hiring Hold now really makes me question his judgment.
I guess I was dumb enough to fall for all the denner hype. I thought 15 months in revenue would be going up and the stock would be sitting around 3 bucks or above. Instead it is just the opposite we have not had one piece of good news in years. It is just defalting and I am sure most of us wish now we had sold out after the DU news and never looked back.
Exactly. They buyback needs to happen period. With a five year runway and given eveyone thinks he will sell the company in the next few years anyway there is no reason to cancel the buyback.
I remember people raved about the Holt hire when he made it on this board He replaced Berg who they have now gone back too. I know Denner had one good deal with a company but man this is just not going well so far. I guess some had a point during the proxy in hindsight.
If they cancle the buyback I mean good lord what else it there? Denner is 15 month in he needs to start delivering.
At what point to do they just pull the plug on the us market? I mean it is losing battle.
That was the one positive we had been waiting for. I was wondering why it was June and they still had not announced it was approved.
He was Denner's had picked guy so its kind of concerning on that aspect. Makes my question Denner's judgment. I guess I was dumb enought to think when I saw a PR it was finally the buyback approved. I should have known better what a cursed stock.
What makes you think we are going to hear anything about Brave anytime soon? We have the buyback possible if it gets approved but its now June and we still have not heard a thing on the buyback. Really what we have is future revenue plain and simple and that is what we have to wait on. To me it seems like that is the one and only thing the market cares about. So that is likely year end according to Holt so six more months before we see any revenue that might make the market become somewhat impressed . Wish I could be more optimistic but just going after what I have seen with the stock the last 15 months and I dont think there is any magic bullet Denner has we just have to wait on slow revenue growth.
What a complete waste of time and money . They must have more patents than even company I have ever seen but with no approved drug they are totally worthless.
Normally i would say no but after what we have seen the last 15 months maybe. They are going to need this buyback just to stay in compliance at this point. Denner has been a massive disappointment to me. What are people going to say if they do this buyback and release zero news? All I kept hearing was denner is going to unleash hell once the buyback starts.
It is not even approved yet and for all we know it will not get approved. It is June in two days and we are headed down to the70 cent range. This is just gettting absurd at this point. I see zero difference at all since denner took over.
I really gotta hand it to denner never seen a guy give so many people so many buying opportunities. People who wanted a low price re getting their wish once again. Darn near below .80 at this point
You are a clown I have never shorted a stock in my life dude. I got better things to do than comment on messages boards of stocks I do now own. Yes i am negative because denner is not delivering so far and we are 15 months in. I have no idea how you can be happy where things currently sit right now after everything sarissa was talking about before they took over and now the communication stinks. The goalposts keep moving now you say september? Before people were saying early 2024. I have no choice but to keep holding my cost basis is 3.10. Soft short give me a break dude.
I would not I bought alot more in the last year and am regretting it. Back in 2018 they actually had something that moves bio startups now its all about revenue and their revenue is shrinkin. Have another bio that went from .50 cents to 2.10 in the last six months now and I should have put most all of it in that. Instead I got a lousy .84 cent stock with no approved buyback and a company that does not communicte at all. Not sure Denner has any hands other than strongly worded letters from Sarissa about undervalued stocks.
in reality du killed this company and most of us probably should have sold right after and never looked back. Been a very painful lesson. All I see is the new leadership being just like the old. We all got gaslighted.

More power too you I started buying onther stocks months ago as this thing has me way underwater. Luckily for me the other ones have doubled to help offset this disaster. Still waiting for this denner master plan so I can get the hell out of this thing and at least break even. 15 months in and still nothing at all from denner. Nothing
NVDA would have been a great investment really and any AL stock the last year. This has been dead money at best right now. I wish I had been in those stocks honestly but at least my other two bios have doubled in the last six months. This is the biggest dog in my whole portfolio by far.
Its just another buying opportunity before denner unleases hell!!!! At least that is what I am told.
We have not seen 2 in years. I will believe it when I see it at this point.` But you are correct right now it is very dark every bit as dark as it was 15 months ago.
I own alot of shares but what is brewing we are at .87 cents? We I guess have a buyback coming but still no approval but other than that nothing it appears is brewing. We are 15 months into Denner and to me all I see is more of the same with no approvals from the big three. People say why is anyone selling well I can see why they simply gave up. If my cost basis was not 3.10 I would probably have bailed months ago but I want to at least break even someday maybe.
He will need more than 18 months as slow as this is going. The Germany approval is a year away very best case scenario.
Yes but the problem is many of the things you say are years away. I thought Germany approval would not even come for at least another year minimum if it actually gets approved. We are looking at 2026 at the very earliest for Europe revenue to probably be any good. So a sale maybe by 2027 at the earliest which is kind of depressing given this has been nothing but dead money for years now. The buyback offers a small glimmer of hope but who knows when that will get approved.
So now we are out of canada? Man what will it take to even get a hint of good news for AMRN.
They are the kings of patents for drugs that are not approved. It will not move it they must have hundreds of patents now but they dont mean a thing without an approved drug.
Why don’t we have any sales is places like Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Sweden, and the Asian pacific countries? I thought we had approvals in all these places yet only sales in Spain and England. Seems like Spain got up and running quick but I hear nothing about these other countries. Sweden was approved two year ago.
In the Netherlands, the Dutch Ministry of Health has approved VAZKEPA® (icosapent ethyl) for national reimbursement to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in adult statin-treated patients with established cardiovascular disease and elevated triglycerides (≥ 1,7 and ≤ 5,6 mmol/l).Aug 9, 2023
In the first national reimbursement deal Amarin has signed in Europe, Sweden agreed to cover the drug for statin-treated patients with established cardiovascular disease and elevated triglycerides, Amarin said Monday. Vascepa is branded as Vazkepa in Europe.
The Swedish reimbursement price, at 1,640 Swedish krona (about $175) per month, meets expectations and is high relative to the drug’s U.S. net price after discounts and rebates, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Louise Chen wrote in a Monday note.
With the buyback coming if approved shorts are probably getting nervous. Though Denner probably wants the stock to go down as the theory is he wants the price as low as possible before he unleashes hell.
Well I doubt the old managment could have done any better but I am so far not impressed. With all the talk and hype by denner he really has not delivered much of anything so far. There appears to be not big master plan I can see.
It should be but nothing is ever a given with AMRN. We all know that by now.
And if you look at Canada as a bit more of a proxy, the picture gets a little better in terms of growth, but the absolute volume is still anemic. After 4 full years of selling in Canada, they are at roughly 2,500 weekly scripts, and are projecting $21M in revenue for 2024, their 5th full year of selling Vascepa.
That is my concern the growth is so slow it would take 5 years to get good sales in Europe. I hope they just realize they need to sell to a BP in the next year and let them take over.
