This is Probably Spam Gotta run just opened my email 9 best stocks to own.
http://www.nismagazine.com/hot-stock-buzzers-goff-corp-otcgoff-low-carbon-pinklwctf-lightwave-logic-inc-pinklwlg/124062/
Lightwave Logic, Inc. (PINK:LWLG) fell 4.8% at $1.19 after trading 139,768 shares. Lightwave Logic, Inc. is a development stage company that produces prototype electro-optic demonstration devices and is moving toward commercialization of its high-activity, high stability organic polymers for applications in electro-optical device markets. Last week the company announced that preliminary testing results on devices recently coated with Perkinamine Indigo™ demonstrated several of the key performance parameters desired by our potential microelectronics customer. The areas tested included film quality, optical throughput, insertion loss, thermal stability, poling signature and electro-optic modulation.
Now clouds are causing global warming, LOL
9 Hours ago puts Ponz on there at Midnight on a Sunday night. Dude seriously you’ve got it bad, you need to find something to occupy your time. And no just because you make up names and talk to yourself doesn’t mean that everyone does. Honestly I’m not sure who Half and Half is, but he/she is smarter than I, perhaps it is scout? I wrote this for the other BB but for some reason it rejects it so I’m posting I there.
The writing at Lightwave logic is on the wall, barring some totally off the wall issue they are on the final run, this Bittz cat was privy to Lumera/Gig’s molecule and if you listen he said that he is not aware of another molecule that has the advantages/characteristics or Perkinamine Indigo.
It is hard to believe that after watching this for about 3 years now Ponz still doesn’t see what brought an Executive Vice President from, Corning, JDSU, Dupont an NSA optical computing guru and an Admiral to this company. Oh and going back a few years and the guy that invented the R333 Teng-Man test, the first time he tested it he said something to the effect “you guys do not realize what you have invented”
The road that Lightwave took has been long the founders were stubborn to ask for help and they have had their share of problems but somehow they have overcome each one. 2 + 2 = 4 and if you don’t understand that then please feel free to make yourself look like a fool to try and convince others that I am someone else and that all this talent at the company is clueless. Oh and may I add that I only started questioning Gigs technology going back as far the days when it was like $50 or $70 per share.
Good luck doing whatever it is that you do to release your endorphins.
Oh here is Fred Leonbergers Biography off the IEEE web site.
“Dr. Frederick J. Leonberger is acknowledged as a leader in high-performance fiber-optic communications. During his long career, he helped create many photonic component and module technologies that significantly advanced the field.
While at the Lincoln Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Lexington, Massachusetts, and at the United Technologies Research Center in East Hartford, Connecticut, Dr. Leonberger led the development of high-performance external modulation components in lithium niobate (LiNbO3) and semiconductors. He contributed directly to the development of Fiber Bragg Gratings, a component that stabilizes the wavelength of diode lasers, and fiber lasers, and other components in wavelength division multiplexing networks.
As general manager and co-founder of United Technologies Photonics, Bloomfield, Connecticut, he pioneered and helped commercialize the proton ion-exchange process for waveguide devices in LiNbO3. As Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of JDS Uniphase,of San Jose, California, he played a key role in the company’s strategic technology development. He currently heads his own technology advisory firm, EOvation Technologies LLC, in West Hartford, Connecticut.
An IEEE Fellow, Dr. Leonberger is a past president of the IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society (LEOS) and has received the IEEE Third Millennium Medal and the LEOS IEEE Quantum Electronics Award.”

Lol,
I cannot tell you how satisfied I am hearing this technology discussed in a very logical businesslike manner and (for those that understand it) this call has investors so happy that they didn’t even care there was selling going on yesterday.
Here are my thoughts in no particular order just how they came out.
Bintz and Leonberger know something about Indigo's properties that they are not saying, that is why they are here, Bintz “we hold the cards on some ,,, ones”. Coming from Bintz that is important but more importantly hearing Leonberger speak in first person when talking about the company (I, we ours) shows that he is not just acting as an advisor but is truly onboard. Bintz thinks that those properties are so strong that we can force customers to trade off things that they view as important. Leonberger talking about beyond 100 Gig. Both Bintz and Leonberger see Lightwave at the forefront, the majority of 50% on the new ish, Holy Moly. Z, EM myriad of applications. The majority of what they are currently working on is Indigo. Leonberger,,, going forward very useful in all optic devices. Indigo will be handled as a trade secret just like Gore-Tex. Path forward for Toms security clearance is good. Bintz is very sharp, can think on his feet and qualified in this field I’m glad that he working with the LLS.
I found the comment that the packaging is the most expensive part interesting, IMO they mean that that the chromophore is so cheap to produce that the packaging costs more than the chromophore.
Finally, one SBIR and 2 STTR’s that was good to hear. And guys don’t go digging into the STTR’s and posting the information on here. Tom doesn’t want it out or he would have told us. Lets not shoot ourselves in the foot to look like a hero. Hey speaking of that, I gotta new toy TLR2-s, Lol.
Whether you agree or disagree, whether you want it to happen or not, This company is absolutely going to get bought out, no doubt about it, you heard Toms comments we have to act like this company is going to last 50 years,,, in his heart he knows that it won’t this company is too small and the potential is too large I’d go so far as to say that it will be long before WE see a significant stream of revenue, IMO it will be during the period either immediately preceding the acceptance or immediately after the agreement with the LSS (within 18 months). IMO There are 3 kinds of investors, there are those that buy on potential (loose 9 times out of 10 and the 1 homerun covers the losses), there are those that wait until the technology and revenue is established and there are those that jump in and out like a squirrel crossing the road, the squirrel guys are currently running around in the road
“SEVERAL KEY ELEMENTS” that are currently not meet by anyone that Bintz is aware of, remember that he worked for Gig Optix and appeared to be instrumental in getting that flawed molecule to work. Probably the best question was the simplest one of what does Lightwave do? Bintz said that successful implementation could break through barriers For the storage of data for entire population. Leonberger “in addition to the communication (cloud) centers that Lou (Bintz) described”, (coming from Leonberger) he is the guy that invented the technology that is now “hitting the wall” and if you listen to what Bitz said is that Fred Leonberger has designed a program that he hopes will solve that, comprende Leonbergers title should just be Dude of Dudes in the EO world, Then Leonberger agreed with the hitting the wall and added other areas hitting the wall,,,, communicating between people, machines and under the ocean. stated “OUR(first Person) material has a long road in front of its in terms of it performance capability” Long road no doubt Leonberger and Miller are here for the All Optic 3rd order HomeRun, welcome to the future.
So to say that I’m happy is understating things.
It is too nice to stay in here typing; I’m going to go play, not proof reading.
X
You know my feelings about JM,( I don’t think he was exactly what we needed at the time), but at this time I’m not going to rock the boat for $200k (so we could save what 50K?) a year though. Jim is handling more in the background than most of us know and Z’s needs him, there is much more going on here that we know and probably won’t know for some time to come.
But yes Rickface I’m so happy, 8 or 9 years ago Fred Jr. said something to the effect that this was a moon shot but that he was pretty sure they could do it, he had no money and old Plymouth,,,,,. It has been a long road; and many, many misteps were made but TODAY certainly doesn’t look like a misstep, Heck No. I cannot and will not let others outside of this control my thoughts, if the price went to 4 Bucks a share today no one would be complaining. The share price is what it is, and based on those final few sales today I’d say they are setting a few up weak knee'd investors here. Guys very few outside of Lightwave understand what they have, very few. Could they do a better job at getting out the message yes, I guess they could, but Tom came in and whipped this place into shape in about a year. He will get a contract, period end of sentence. Am I going to bad mouth him NOPE, not currently bad mouthing anyone, I’m very happy for their achievement. We’ve come a long, long way and on top of that have been hit with Fred Jr.’s downfall, somehow by the grace of God folks that are the top in their fields, not money grabbers, came in and they’ve picked up the ball and ran with it. 99.9% of all other companies would have fallen apart. The Jr. Thing happened under Jim’s watch, love him or not he kept it together and moving and that is a fact.
Man, Valentine’s day was only 6 weeks ago, I thought that it would start to unfold after that and it certainly looks like it is, A Project Manager, Testing Goals Meet for the LSS, Fred Leonberger heading up the Modulator with Prather, shoot I’m Happy. ; )
Just looked at the board
Yes Purp I think that is the first time the NSF was mentioned, I suppose one of their guys will want to join and help us now, Lol.
I think we all need to understand how the options are valued they are not in the money, only if the shares rise will they see any benefit. Honestly I don’t think $200k for a retired Admiral is excessive. I’m also not sure that some of the numbers put up for Steve are correct but I could be wrong. But I agree, I’m not sure what Steve does, perhaps we’ll find out on the call. IMO these guys are compensated in a reasonable fashion. Smith asked for an extra year warrants and they said no, someone in the K just back 200k shares for an extension on in the money shares. The fact of the matter is that they are looking out for us.
They didn’t make the price go down today, WE did, We the investors or the market makers or the shorters did, I could care less, I'm looking to the future. Honestly I’m tickled pink, we finally did it, after all these years they’ve nailed it. Funny how every time these guys announce a move forward everyone gets tee’d off.
Please don’t take this the wrong way.

Does anyone selling need a Road Map or are you starting to get it?
Great News,,, and a contract will no doubt follow. I’d say that those who want to play it safe should wait until 2 weeks after that announcement, Lol (you cannot fix stupid).
Good News,,, we passed, is there more work to be done heck ya but they did it, congrats to the team. The F'in Indigo Worked.
Half full or half empty, uh, ¾ full.

Been there done that, in the past we were spread far too thin. Remember that only up until recently did we have the material clean enough, reproducible, and a lab to test it. Now that we have a project manager perhaps we can move on to another venture or 2 but IMO they need to focus, focus, focus and see one of the three projects through to fruition, IMO that is just what Z is doing.
This is complex science, the solvent, % of chromophore, the thickness, voltage, the structure of the molecule, the poling, the solvent, the solubility all comes into play. We have the best and it will all come in time OR it will not, time will tell. We need to put our faith in these guys and not second guess them. What is happening now is exactly what we said needed to happen for the company to succeed 3 or 4 years ago. It just took a lot longer than any of us thought.
Long term means seeing it though to fruition not jumping in and out and that is what I’m doing, others will play it differently, a dime or a quarter made here or there will be quickly erased when an announcement is made.
Gotta Run
Oh I guess that you could take that 2 ways, I'm holding and not selling. I've spent too much time doing homework to try and time this, not today with the call on Thursday. Can you imagine what would happen if they put out an announcement stating that we meet the requirements and are postponing the call until after they hammer out an agreement? Wishful thinking I know but just putting it out there as food for thought, planting a seed if you will. Can you imagine what that would do the stock price especially if they were able to name the LSS?
Well I don’t see anything in the K that will have new folks exactly flocking to the company. What we are all waiting on in news from the LSS, IMO some may take the lack of detail in the K as a hint that there is problem, honestly I think they had 2 paragraphs written and hadn’t heard back one way or another from them by yesterday so they just left them out. Remember that the LSS also has to do a K and publish what is going on, news of successfully testing an Electro Optic Polymer and negotiating an agreement with said company is probably a reportable event for them also so that guy may have worked on something else last week before performing the final test, yes it is stretch just looking at the various angles. First quarter is now over and I’ve only said that 8 or 9 times….. Let’s stay tuned. If you want to risk a few bucks and venture out on the ice to see how thick it is be my guest, you may cross successfully and be able to benefit from the incorrect timing of next guy, but IMO spring is here so I’ll wait on the shore for now and take the boat across later.

Dolphin just read the last 20 or 30 posts.
That was not meant as a negative it was as a positive, but as information I did ask Fred Jr. about it back in the day. He said something to the effect that precedent dictates that companies that create something that big bro needs were treated very well. Now days who knows, but that’s what he said. To date we haven’t seen any evidence of it, Zippo, I was kind of hoping on something from Lockheed but to date nadda.
This is something to digest.
We may be unable to export our potential products or technology to other countries, convey information about our technology to citizens of other countries or sell certain products commercially, if the products or technology are subject to United States export or other regulations.
We are developing certain polymer-based products that we believe the United States government and other governments may be interested in using for military and information gathering or antiterrorism activities. United States government export regulations may restrict us from selling or exporting these potential products into other countries, exporting our technology to those countries, conveying information about our technology to citizens of other countries or selling these potential products to commercial customers. We may be unable to obtain export licenses for products or technology if necessary. We currently cannot assess whether national security concerns would affect our potential products and, if so, what procedures and policies we would have to adopt to comply with applicable existing or future regulations.
“We consider Gigoptix, Inc., as our primary competitor. They have designed and patented potentially commercially feasible electro-optic polymers and hold an exclusive license to all electro-optic polymeric technology developed at the University of Washington.”
I contend this is why Opsys moved from Washington remember the sponsors were USAF and Intel.
Note the word Polymeric above and below.
In December 2009, we filed our sixth patent application. The provisional application covers stable free radical chromophores for use in Non-Linear optical applications. The new polymeric electro-optic material has enormous potential in spatial light modulation and all optical signal processing (light switching light).
University of Delaware
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and its facilities, clean rooms and electro-optic device fabrication is under the guidance of Dr. Dennis Prather. His focus is on both theoretical and experimental aspects of active and passive photonic elements and their integration/demonstration into functional systems. Their research team is focused on solutions for the most complicated areas of interest to the US Government, which includes, nano-photonic devices, solar cells and imaging systems. Their team has also utilized and produced working polymer modulators under the sponsorship of the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, OH.
No bad news (except for Fred passing, he was VERY sick). Someday I have a funny story that I’ll relate about something that he did.
Nothing about a going concern. It looks and reads to me like Tom or Joe rewrote the entire K, I could do a compare but I don’t feel like it. As of the end of the year we had enough cash until April 2014, They’ve added 1 Million – 200k per month burn (5 months) plus future LPC taps and warrants exercised should bring us to the end of 2014 or into 2015 easy so I don’t think we need to worry about money, Well the call should be interesting; I’m still hoping for some kind of an announcement before the call, if so 2 bucks.
Stay Tuned
There is section called “subsequent events”, IMO that is where we need look.
So infoforrich (Buffet? Lol) that was the biggest “hit” you ever took, really? Sounds like You measure your portfolio by the day? If I sold my ownership your portfolio would get hammered, on the other hand if I doubled mine you’d be over 2 bucks a share, but would you really? I actually own a little more of the company than I did at this time last year so IMO, I’ll be happier when the end comes and they get taken over. But I know what you are saying, I’d like to see green everyday too. Who knows what will happen with the call, the K, the LSS etc. If they have the call next week IMO the best person to get an actual read on the company’s Perk will be from Fred Leonberger, he doesn’t have a horse in this race and is strictly an outsider that is here because of something he sees, what is it that he sees? I wonder if the LSS responded yet? It would be a shame if they’ve tested it but are dragging their feet giving us the path forward, snail’s pace,,,. Again the best read that I’ll get on the call will be from Bintz and Leonberger, both of whom have been there and done that with a modulator so barring Tom releasing a Super Duper Announcement I’m going to pay special attention to what they say and probably more important how they say it. Tom, by nature (because of his military leadership) may be harder to read, something positive could be interpreted as negative. I have all the faith in the world in the Leadership at Lightwave and I think that we are finally moving forward in a logical manner, who knows how long that takes, perhaps the biggest question is, are we moving forward on a Three Pronged Approach or is any one of them holding up the others? (Hopefully we are not waiting on the results of the LSS before proceeding on the modulator front.)
What if (as ‘someone’ suggested the other day) the LSS decides to take a position in the company? I’d say the couple of folks that sold will have about 30 seconds to make a buy after that announcement. This is a very complex science I just look at the guys that are spending time with it and put my faith in them. Again pay attention to Leonberger and Bintz what is it they say and how are they saying it, why are they here?
It is funny how the timing of a few guys selling can affect our attitude/outlook.
If Spooks is who I think it is he could teach all of us a few things, lol. Nope Proto Spook has been here for a while.
Go and head and Test him, he makes Purp and I look like Pikers, ask him to put up 3 links tomorrow of something for us to think about over the LONG weekend. I want to warn you, You are REALLY going to have to have to think though what he puts up.
Pick a Person, A business, a technology, a business angle, Just sayin.
Glad we leveled off today and took a rest, tomorrow is the end of the month so I'll be in the game tomorrow.
I could go 8 different ways on this, but yes I’d say that was the leading candidate when Z presented it last August. Remember that at the time we didn’t have the lab/testing facilities established, at that time hadn’t cleaned up/Six Sigma’d the Perk and Prather hadn’t published his latest findings. Value has been added to both; It will be interesting to watch this play out as it moves forward. Like I said in December after Valentine’s day the world will begin to understand what they have invented, I do not want to set expectations too high for the call, but IMO many more will SOON start to get it. This is complex stuff and luckily for us we have some of the best from the industry.
I gotta Run
Oh and put the stock ticker (LWLG) in there,,, or in a follow-up
Thanks

Nice article Stevey too bad Delaware online doesn’t have that big of a following, but it is the internet. Actually in Delaware they probably should have mentioned Ross Fasick and Joe Miller because almost every retired Dupont employee here knows of them and over the years at cocktail parties and such in talking to others about them they are highly regarded throughout the state by both their peers and past employees. Also it probably wouldn’t hurt to include Fred Leonbergers name for google searches and such. But hey any press is good press, so we’ll take it. Oh I know
Could one of the investors that uses facebook please add this comment to the bottom of the Delaware Online article, Thanks
As information, the Ex Senior V.P, of Corning (Fiber Optics) Joe Miller (formerly a DuPonter), Ex Senior V.P. of JDSU Fred Leonberger (Telcom Modulators) and Ex Senior V.P. at DuPont (Polymers) Ross Fasick all are contributing to Lightwave Logic. Connect those dots.
Half I think that you are looking on the right side at the “People that viewed his profile also viewed”….. All that means is that probably 10 Lightwave investors that previously looked at Z’s Profile recently pulled up his. I must say though that I’m not a master at linkin IMO it is a scary big brother thing. The other day it asked me to put in my email address and it provided me a list of over 400 people that I “might know”, shoot some of them I haven’t conversed communicated with since 1995.
Gig traded at $1.08 while LWLG hit $1.70 Today
Just Luck I guess
Proly me
Hey it’s the infoforfich cat. Lol, I see snow on the ground that will melt when the temperature rises followed by a few months of warm temperatures then some very hot months. LOL, Sorry but what we are seeing is a small cap stock with a product similar to a biotech in that it passed or is in the process of passing tests for various devices. IMO what we are seeing is folks starting to get it and for some reason many wait until it heads based on which way the chart is headed (instead doinng there homeowrk and buying super cheap when there is blood inthe streets). That being said though IMO this is still cheap, very cheap, this science is complex, very complex, the guys working there are Experienced, Very Experienced, the guys working there have Reputations, Very Good Reputations. The fact of the matter is the charts will go up if more people buy than sell and that is what you will see for the foreseeable future. The number of sales and buys yesterday were about the same however the quantity of shares in each buy was larger, that tells me that more money is coming in than cashing out.
This a short trading week Tom will be releasing the K prior to the call my guess is that pressure will remain on the buy side, again hopefully we’ll hit 2 bucks by the call. Just a common sense summary, if the sun comes up the snow will melt and it will continue to warm for the remainder of the month through next month. If you want to try and play this you are betting no news or new investors after the K, doesn’t sound smart, but hey that is what makes the world go around. We are finally proceeding in a orderly fashion and IMO it will continue.
I was talking to some cat in Cancun at the bar, he showed me his last “stock tip” and it was at zero, he stuck LWLG in his Iphone, I hope when he sobered up he bought a few shares.
X Out
Sorry but you guys should trade email addresses or phone numbers it would be easier.
Rick Face, You Da Man,,,,, I was hoping that you were out there.
Technical/science questions get asked to him, he is FAR and away more qualified than I.
If we don’t get bought out by the shareholders meeting (and it DON’T think that it will happen that quick) make sure you look me up.
Trotts Could you sticky post 3837 to the board.
It will help Newbies “Get it”
Green Dolphin could you sticky post my post number 3836
I’m not sure how the board will align them but it will help the new investors “get it”
Thanks
No I’m pretty sure that I never met Fred Sr. only Jr. (Senior may have been at one of the first meeting but I didn’t talk to him) One of the investors on here that contacted me said that he car pooled with him back in the day and was trying to catch up with him, I told him that he could try and contact Mrs. Goetz.
2nd When I talk about the amount of molecules I referring to what Fred Jr. put up on the Web site. So I’d say that there are at least 27 of them but I think that there are other things they can do to change them up so there could be more. It is kind of like this:
3 Electron Donors A - B – C

One thing is for certain; hopefully I won’t have to spend the rest of my life blogging on here. Should anything ever become of Perkinamine everyone will get one vote per share and I think I know which way a reasonable buyout offer would go. I for one wouldn’t mind trading each one of my Lightave shares for a gram of gold, cashing in 10% and playing with that, hey It would work for me. There are numerous steps between here and there and I don’t feel like listening to all the whiners arguing the point every time a misstep is made. Some of you even complain when the stock is going up.
Either they have it or they don’t but the signs are pointing in the direction of THEY HAVE SOMETHING. I’m so glad now that I had a buy order in just above a buck for a few weeks to prevent this from dipping beneath a dollar just in case they were tapping LPC. Those funds had just ran out then the news hit. For once I did something right.
As for the Solar thing they never said that Solar wasn’t a huge deal; Joe Miller and the BOD doesn’t see it as worth pursuing in the short term, the Pekinamine Platform has Many, Many, Many uses, we were spread too thin for years. Zelibor has cut loose with the B.S. deals and has finally focused the company; it looks like they are Going to do the Long distance Telcom Modulator (HUGE), An SLM (HUGE) and the LSS (HUGE). As we move forward many more uses and devices will surface, Many players will approach us, shoot there are MANY Military uses that I see us pursuing before the Solar angle.
As for a buyout who knows, but I know that if I was sitting on the bundles of cash that many of the fortune 500’s have I would not be beholden to a Small company in Delaware. There are many, many ways that this could go, as of now there are Three kinds of Perk, many devices in the future, 2nd Order and 3rd Order materials and they haven’t even touched the amount of Molecules that Fred envisioned. Unless something comes out of the woodwork and bites us, soon enough it will get very interesting. I know that many of the investors don’t want a buyout, we want it to forward split and pay dividend of a dollar per share every quarter, but I just don’t think the Big Guys will stand for it, we all have our price.
Once they announce actual performance numbers, the speed, repeatability and the fact that it is a stable molecule it will be Game On, this will be just like grapheme except you cannot patent graphene (just its uses and currently there are over 1,000 of them), we have some of the best chess players out there, it is not even close to their first time around the block, most of these guys forgot more than we will ever know, these guys have taken their time to do this right, so let’s see what we’ve got.
Honestly I agree Six, I think the call will be the next step on the business unfolding; I don’t expect any trillion dollar contracts, but still I expect us to hit 2 bucks before then, I wish we’d hit the Triple 3 Number, but I doubt it.
In the Future
Might we partner with a chemical manufacture to produce the Perk for us?
Might one of the big guys just buy us out?
Might we buy an old DuPont site and hire talent to make it?
Might we sign off on one type of Perk?
Might we just sign off on one device?
Might we partner with someone on any of the above?
I could go on for days; Like Z said we need to digest what is in the K First. Most likely it won’t be that big it will be the next step, so guys don’t run this up too high until I can get my buys filled towards the end of next week.
Honestly IMO we’ll be bought out like a Just Like a BioTech.
X Out
Should be off an running NOW
Honestly I don’t know, if I were to guess I’d say that Lightwave gave them what they asked for 100 to 125 picometers per volt (not sure of the nm), they spec’d it probably because of the voltage running through the device, not sure if it would work if it was overly sensitive. As for who is doing what, only they know, I’d guess that as they move on the various devices they are still learning how to change the sensitivity and wavelength. Probably Colorado could answer that best.
The way I interpreted that SHM statement/move was that when AZ was doing the testing they kept changing up the game, what if this, what if that, Z and the LSS got fed up and decided to move away from them, they got tired of what ifs, the most important question is, will it work in the LSS’s device and how soon before that announcement. I have No Doubt that Leonberger, Bintz and Prather will put the communications modulator together because Fred saw what he was looking for and he’s been checking it out for about a year. As for polling I haven’t a clue who’s doing it but I think that it is only done once so IMO that would be on our side. Just guessing because they don’t exactly publish the SoP’s.
If Z gets into the science (which I don’t think he will) it might be a good question for the call, I think that soon enough we’ll understand more about Perkinamine.
Anything is possible
On the surface that technology looks pretty strong, so yes I’d say that we might be playing in the same space. Perhaps on the next call without getting too technical they could address the Liquid Crystal competition question, Turpin spoke about LCD technology on the SLM’s I don’t know if it is the same. Off the cuff and not knowing anything about it, my first question would be, how does it handle temperature changes, hot, warm and cold, that could be its Achilles heel?
“According to Mr. Turpin, a recognized expert in optical computing for over 40-years including important work at Essex Corporation and the National Security Agency (NSA), "The progress of Optical Computing has been limited by legacy Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) technology which while effective, can only refresh at 10 to 30 millisecond intervals. Because of the extremely fast response time of Lightwave Logic's organic nonlinear optical materials are in the range of a picoseconds (one-billionth of a second versus LCD at 10 to 30-thousands of a second), improvement in performance could be a billion-fold."”
The way that I look at this is there are many markets, many devices and many requirements, as Dave Eaton once told us there isn’t a single answer to every device. As Lightwave moves forward we’ll see this play out as they adapt to requests. Honestly now it is apparent that although we all thought they had hammered out the issues with Perkinamine years ago, the problem with consistency apparently prevented them from being taken seriously. We finally have the lab and testing in our control we’ve meet the requirements for the LSS (unless they move the goal post) and from here on out it will be easier for the lab cats to see how changing one thing affects another and they can do it much faster. The current focus is on the Long haul modulator and an SLM. We all heard this at the Shareholders meeting and now we are seeing that business plan unfold. I’d guess that is what Z will talk about on the call.
Lol, yeah right and I was born at night. I hope that you do well in your day trading. If you have any questions about the actual company, the founders or the products let us know.
If I were you I’d treat this like a Phase III Biotech
This is currently in a trial with a Large system supplier (we think that it is Intel), the government and a couple smaller companies.
Good luck, I hope you make some serious scratch here

Projoe we/they've got Fred for M&A guidance,,, this was one of Leonbergers duties at JDSU
“Fred Leonberger to Serve as Senior Advisor to Lightwave Logic, Inc.
Former Senior Vice President And Chief Technology Officer of JDS Uniphase Corporation to Focus on Commercialization of Lightwave’s Organic Electro-Optical and All-Optical Materials for Advanced Optical Devices”
“Dr. Leonberger previously served as senior vice president and chief technology officer of JDS Uniphase Corporation (JDSU), a leading optical components company, from 1999 until his retirement in June 2003 where he was responsible for strategic technology and was closely involved with mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property activities.”
I think he knows his way around mergers and acquisitions.
I guess that I’m always a forward thinker ahead of reality and for those of you that I set your timeline expectations to soon then whatever….. Life’s too short, get over it
I’m quite pleased with how this is finally proceeding; this is exactly what we were calling for as far back as Hal, engineer types to work the Perk, they’ve always needed to proceed in a logical manner but apparently didn’t have the resources or the Perk hammered out. As for the big guys, silicon foundries and Moore’s law honestly they don’t have a choice, electrons interfere with each other so they can only get so close also they produce heat and as we all know cooling is where the power is consumed. You guys heard Turpin on the conference call a few years ago, when it is all said and done Optical computers will operate a Billion times faster than today’s super computers, (he personally is aware of many classified optical computers but can only discuss one) when questioned again at the end if he meant a Million he said NO I MEAN A BILLION times faster. IMO the big guys have no choice. As for the patents we are good for a long time to come no way they can wait for those to expire, IMO this technology will be developed well before then, shoot they only started working on the iPad 5 years ago.
I agree though as it stands now the LSS is holding all the cards in this arena, but I don’t think that Z and the rest of the BOD are the kinds of guys that can be intimidated. The LSS won’t let them use their name for a few reasons, A – the value of Lightwave would increase making a takeover more costly. B – They don’t want their competition doing and end run on them. I’d say that once we meet their demands (satisfied their initial request) we are in a much stronger legal position to either demand a contract or go public with what indigo can do, if we truly have the bugs worked out the market will sort this all out.
If you liked this at a buck, you’ve got to love it at $1.25, talk about being short sighted. Lol, A Device Coated and submitted to the LSS, Frickin Fred Leonberger heading up the Long Distance Communication Modulator (I could be wrong but I do not think this is that difficult of a device to create) now Partnered with a private company to develop it and a product Manager on board and I’d say about a full years worth of cash. I mean really?
I swear I almost hate to put this out there and set expectations high, apparently some of you thrive on negativity, me not so much so, I’ll be dead in other 30 or 40 years so I like to look at the positive side. If you do not think that the talent here knows what it is doing, then by all means exit in an orderly fashion and move on to another company with more promise and if you can find it more talent, life is too short.
I suppose when they announce that they have the Modulator ready many will find something else to complain about, Hey if they don’t have it, the Goetzs were wrong, all of this talent is wrong, someone else comes along and invents something, so be it, but ALL OF THE FACTS ARE POINTING TO PERKINAMINE AS HAVING EXACTLY WHAT FRED TOUTED 8 Years ago.
Gotta Go
Caers thanks for your effort promoting the company abroad, someday it will be a priorty on this side of the ditch.
"The next step is to cost efficiently commercialize the technology. Prather has received $1.6 million in new funding to take the technology to the nanoscale, work that will likely include collaboration with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering colleague Michael Hochberg, and that could ultimately occur in the nanofabrication facility planned for UD’s Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory (ISE Lab)."
Hmmm that is dated February the 19th wasn't valentines day on the 14th, GO FIGURE
Funny Walter you and my Mom sound alike. I was talking to her about the crazy guy that did the shooting in the theater, I told her that if I was there I would have wanted a weapon to defend myself, her comment was that if I shot him it would have made him even madder, Lol, Propjoe I was looking for 9's. We shouldn’t talk too much about it because it is a hot button issued over here. Don’t worry I’ll bring my wand in and Greenlee and I can screen the shareholders at the door.
OK Buzzy this is my guess; We have Fred Lenberger commenting Publicly on Perkinamine on the enormous potential. A Huge, Huge thing. We have many on here stating how they expected more out of the PR, if I was the MM I’d open it low to suck up their shares and freak them out, IMO it will move up throughout the day followed by LPC selling about 50k shares in the last 2 hours so that it doesn’t run too high. We need LPC but once they are no longer in this game it will run higher on the higher days and lower on the lower days. While they are not allowed to short they can sell 50k shares here to make the next 200k buy lower but they will also buy 10k there to make their shares more valuable in the future. We need them and I don’t see anything wrong with it, that’s just the way it is. So, an Open low out of the box followed by a high of $1.60 possibly $1.75 and a close just about where we are. If you want to try and play this then have at it I won’t, too risky, this is now playing out exactly as we talked about, if you think someone will tip their hand on the status of the LSS and a contract it isn’t going to happen, if you are playing around with this just don’t go to the store because (while you are out of the game) you might find yourself chasing it. On the CC, do not set your expectations too high, honestly I’m not expecting giant news, I think Z will explain how the business end will work.
We are but peons in this game, all that is going to do is take a couple of the guys that Fred Leonberger made wealthy to call up and put in a couple orders and just that extra demand alone will force us to new highs. Anyone that thinks that they can do better than Fred Leonberger and Dennis Prather to develop a next gen modulator should submit your entry to Z, oh better yet how about sending it to Joe Miller former CTO of Corning, yes explain to Joe what specific parameters you think the fiber in the ground will require. Honestly I think that we are seeing a couple of legacy’s in the making, Joe Miller left corning came back to Delaware, Prather at the U of D is developing the modulator, and Fred graduated number one at the U of D in his class back in the day, perhaps there will be a lab named in honor of the Goetzs at the U of D someday.
Oh and IMO for those wondering why Opsis moved to Delaware this is my take on it, going back to the Lumera days they negotiated a contract with the University of Washington that anything developed at the U of W they (Now GIG) had the first rights to it, oh and if you look U of AZ it kind of rolls up to U of W.
Guys we have plenty of talent in the lab making the perk and they have finally worked out the bugs, they will continue to work on it but IMO we now have a pipeline, I think that much of it will be headed down the street to the U of D and Colorado. I guess that you could say we are where we were a few times before but just remember that we NOW have Perkinamine Indigo and we have Good Quality Clean almost but not quite Six Sigma Indigo.
Hey I’m long as ever if anyone wants to sell wait a week or two for me as I’ll be buying more.
Some of you guys are BiPolar and look for bad news in every release.
I stopped by the gun store this afternoon to grab a lil ammo, the girl behind the counter told me that I couldn’t have an entire case, just a box, so I said “in that case give me a box of every caliper ya got. As I’m picking it out, I guess the release hit and about every 5 seconds I received a text message; most of you were excited but I swear some of you are never happy. Recently we heard that Fred Leonberger was going to head up a team for a telcom modulator and it looks like they picked Prather at EM Photonics with connections at the U of D. If Leonberger is excited about it ,,,, guys I think he knows what he is talking about,,, "The market for an ultra-high-speed modulator operating at low drive voltage is an enormous commercial opportunity. Now that the properties of Perkinamine Indigo™ are better understood, it will be central to the designs we have contemplated.”
So now we’ve got Dennis Prather and Prather has an in with Nvidia and frickin Hochbergs ear, We saw Opsis move 3,000 miles, We wanted someone to put this thing together and it certainly looks like they have the talent to do it. Is this the contract from the LSS, heck no, but it is another step forward, another highly respected expert in the field affirming what we have. You heard Tom “We anticipate that this first program will be part of a multi-phase engagement”
We as shareholders are always are hoping for more, more, more, but the fact is that this will unfold as fast as the science permits, don’t take that the wrong way, I do not see this as a delay. The fact of the matter is that this project and many others are moving forward at a speed that is just about as fast as one could expect. We all knew that we were wondering around spread too thin for years, Tom came in, identified the problem as consistency with the perk, with the funding in place he is totally changing, organizing, I mean guys, we Finally have the Experience in the lab to clean the material, Chemists to Synthesize and Develop new materials, Experts to test it, Companies wanting our materials, Engineers to design Devices and a Manager to manage the Projects.
The LSS is going to move as fast or as slow as THEY are going to move. They will approach us on THEIR terms, it could be this week or next month, if we’ve got what they want (and need) then THEY WILL play ball, it may be hard ball but we’ve got quite a line up in our corner. The longer they wait the more the value of this technology will seep out into the various device markets and the greater the value we as shareholders will realize, you’ll see, they know exactly what they are doing. Look at talent, I mean LOOK AT THE TALENT.
Let me see when asked at the shareholders meeting how long for Babu to solve the material issues Miller scratched his chin and guessed 6 months, guys it certainly sounds like the answers for Perk Indigo are in and the pieces are falling in place.
