Virus problem.............
I have a Codered virus and can't get rid of it...
I've run three different antivirus programs, the last one was AVG.
all of them recognize it, but can't access it.
It's in C:\EXPLORER.EXE
What other options do I have?
TIA
If necessary, I'm not against wiping my HD, but that would be a last resort.
FWIW...My ISP has apparently gone south and I had to sign up for the free trial with AOL to get online.
Needless to say, I have my share of grief and don't know how long this will last.
Until then, I'll post as I can.....
FSRC filed a 8K today to explain why they lost their merger...
PCOM news....
August 5, 2003
CAMPBELL, Calif., Aug 5, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ --
P-Com, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PCOM), a worldwide provider of wireless telecom products and services, today announced a restructuring of its 7% Convertible Subordinated Notes due 2007, resulting in the conversion of the Notes into preferred stock.
As a result of the restructuring, principal and accrued interest of $21,138,000 has converted into 1,000,000 shares of Series B Convertible Preferred Stock with a stated value of $21.138 per share. Each share of Series B converts into common at $.20 per share. The holders of the Series B have agreed to convert into common stock upon receipt of shareholder approval increasing the number of authorized shares of common stock to allow for conversion, and upon completion of a qualified equity financing.
'This is a very positive step forward for P-Com that will allow us to significantly reduce our debt, including interest expense,'said P-Com Chairman George Roberts. 'This results in a significant improvement to our balance sheet and is an important step in the completion of our previously announced restructuring plan.'
Linchuck, aye laddie, me thinks you're wise beyond your years..
This last month has been a very PR worthy month for ROBV.
I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of follow up to some of the revenue-producing announcements they made earlier...
ARSW seems to be holding at .011X.012....
I don't think any of those S8 shares have hit the market yet and the "panic dumping" seems to have slacked off.
With a high today of .01 on SHRN it looks like a little profit taking is pulling the PPS down.(can't blame'm).
Linchuck, I just came online and SHRN is already up about 40%.
At .009 it's about to break into positive penny territory with, IMO, a ways to go....
re the sounds; When I was trying them out I had a couple that I could barely hear, but, of course, Mailfatass is nice and loud....:)
If that problem continues, you might ask the same question on the Computer Learning board here at IHub...
Linchuck, I must have had dozens of conversations about the "last day" to buy in when there is a dividend or split.
An 8% stock dividend will be paid to shareholders who are shareholders-of-record at the close of trading on Aug 7 and is payable on or before Aug 21.
This amounts to the same thing as one free share for every 12.5 you hold.
The confusion usually comes because a "dividend" is usually cash and there is a announce-date, a DOR,(date of record), and a pay-date.
Add to that the three-day delivery rule and you have a lot of confusion.
In this case, if you own stock on the 7th, even if you bought it that day, you should qualify for the dividend.
The DOR is Aug 7 and the pay date is Aug 21.....plenty of room in there for delivery.....:)
IMO, this may well run to the 7th.....
Bigdawg, It looks like your Broker,(or the Floor Trader he works with), is pulling your strings.
Most Brokers don't like Penny Players.
If you find out who the Floor Trader is,(MM), whom your Broker works with, it can give you a leg up...
SHRN, up about 50% at .0075..eom
I've tried Beatles, Groucho and finally settled for mailfatass....lol
At .0065 SHRN is finally showing green and is up about 30%...
Could this be the beginning of a nice run to the 8/7 dividend date?
OT...Wise, et al..
If you go to "tools" at the top of this page, then "settings" ........IHub has an option for a audio announcement for any post that is meant for you,(mailbox).
Try it..........some of them are really cute.
I have to chuckle when I see an announcement like;
" Unveils Phase One Blueprint."
That doesn't mean squat!
Or, in plain English; "We now have a plan for what we want to do, but are actually doing nothing at this time."
LOL
Wise, NCVM has had a basic company profile as a company that picked up other businesses and sold them for a profit,(ideally).
Besides this BuyMicro, they own or control a few other "investments" and I wouldn't be surprised to see them dumping more of these small companies in the very near future.
As it stands, if they complete this merger with JetSki, Nova will no longer exist and, I'm sure, the jetski people don't want a lot of useless obligations along with their new listed status.
If it all falls together, it could be very nice for the company and its investors....
Wise, if Nova can pull it off, it sounds like they're getting rid of a financial thorn in their side...
They own 100% of Kadfield Inc.
This, from the 10Q
The Company has experienced recurring losses from operations and as of
March 31, 2003 had a working capital deficit of $629,990 ($917,540 at
December 31, 2002) and a net capital deficiency of $1,226,622
($2,128,732 at December 31, 2002). In addition Kadfield is in default
on various long-term obligations.
Also, it might be worthwhile to look at the Pinksheet company which might be taking on this Kadfield Inc.....TRFG

So far, I don't see anything making pre-opening moves, but it should be interesting to watch ARSW today.
also.......PLKC
cwy48, thanks, I did miss that...
I believe their old AS was only 50M.
If that's the case, they had to increase it.
As with most entry-level companies, they must issue stock to survive, until they start generating revenue.
In the case of PLKC, it's only been a year since they pulled themselves out of the Pinks, a feat many Pennies can't accomplish.
But, IMO, for the time being, this is a potential short play.
The rest will take care of itself.....:)
re PLKC........
At .018 it looks like it's setting up for a bounce, but it may drop just a little lower before it bottoms,(.01 or .016).
Until a month ago the OS was only 13.7M, but on 7/8 they registered almost 39M shares.
Since then, it looks like they have been dumping shares and they may now be finished.
Capt Nemo, .......
FWIW.....Microsoft recently lost a court battle with Sun for use of their Java programs.
As a result, Microsoft must discontinue some of their "control" programs,(Java VM?) and Sun will be given a larger piece of the pie.
I'm sure Misrosoft will still try to make it appear that they are in charge and have the best to offer, but this is Sun's area of expertise and I don't have to worry about them developing problems because they have to shut down some types of programs.
Jeez Capt, that depends on what OS you're running..
I think you list shows Win98, win98 2nd edition, and Win ME.
I'm running Win2000 Pro and just went to the Sun website and downloaded...
good luck
Capt Nemo, msft java is having problems and it will probably get worse.
Why not just download Sun Java, then go into your Advanced list, uncheck all the msft java there and put a check in the new Sun Java box that will have appeared.
If that doesn't work, you can always go back, but it's worth a try....
Bak2houston.........
SHRN was one of your picks.....Maybe you can clear something up for me?
About a week ago they announced a 8% stock dividend for shareholders of record on 8/7, this coming Thursday.
My math tells me that for every 12.5 shares held, one free share will be issued.
Since the announcement the PPS has been taking a dive.
Why?
I would have thought people would be buying for the dividend.
?????
PennyWorld...re ARSW.........
Before the two S8 filings, the OS was around 17M, with a float of about 5.8M.
And............for the time being, the OS may not be much higher than that.
The 6/27 S8 registered 20M shares for employees to exercise options to purchase shares.
The details are a little involved, but if you read the 4.1 and 4.2 attachments to the filing you can make sense of it.
The 8/1 S8 registered 60M shares with the same details..
Here's where the "human" factor comes in...
They have up to 10-years to exercise the options.
With the current price movement, why would they buy shares now and immediately face a loss?
The reason the OS was/is so small is because they did a 1:50 RS about six months ago.
Before the RS the OS was around 850M and, now, even if all those options were exercised, the OS would only be about 97M.
It's a good bet that there won't be another RS in the near future.
It will be interesting to watch what happens next week....
It's always Anything-Can-Happen-Day in the Pennies....:)
NP Mike,...It's always good to see someone improve their typing skills with practice......
Now,.........if you could only do something about your people skills.....LOL
Here's an eye test to improve your vision...

(caution.....if you have a heart condition, don't take this test)
mrnatural, IMO, that pretty well tears it....
They DON'T have FDA approval yet and are waiting for it?
That could take longer than their court battle.
we'll see what happens.
mrnatural, incredible!
A thumbnail view tells me that QT5 has been blown out of the water.
It seems that this Thompson, the patent holder, is one smart guy.
He gets 150K up front,(assuming he dumped the stock), and then brings in a third party,(Platinum Products), for the death blow.
QT5 wanted this REAL BAD, but it looks like their greed is going to get the best of them.
I wish there was some realistic way of tracking Platinum Products.
Also, if this is going to be as big as it appears, you can expect some of the big boys to magically appear, Coke, Pepsi, etc.
The only question I have is where does the FDA stand on this?
I haven't seen much on that.
stevo51, also.........
If a company is intending to do something that requires a lot of cash or value, like an acquisition, they could have registered these shares to use in lieu of cash.
I may have missed it, but I haven't seen any announcements or Letters of Intent for anything like that......so far.
No matter what you throw in the sink, eventually it all goes down the same hole..........
These shares, probably sooner than later, will hit the open market.
stevo51, they can....can go immediately to the open market and usually do, because when a company does this they usually need cash for "something."..........but, they don't have to.
And, when they do sell them we may not know it unless we happen to notice the volume getting dumped on....
Because, whomever they issue them to won't have to report it unless they hold 10% of the OS.
Today's form 4 filed by a director of BEVI is a good example.
The shares he acquired, and filed for, came from a S8 filed earlier by the company and he only had to report it because he owns more than 10%.
As for being restricted, they could be, but probably aren't.
Usually, when restricted stock is issued there is some record of it.
Plus, I think the "restricted/free-trading" status applies when they are issued, not registered....(I have to check on that)
Plus, in the Pennies, many Charters allow for the company to order the Transfer Agent to change the status of stock on nothing more than instructions to do so....
ie; The CEO could call the TA and, POOF, restricted stock becomes free trading.
Although, I'm not sure how this applies Corporation Charters in the State of New Hampshire, which is where this company is incorporated.
Bottom line, they didn't register those 60M shares for fun.
IMO, we'll probably see them being issued sooner than we would like.
mrnatural, What a can of worms!
And, of course, Platinum Products is a private company.
It all depends on if the courts allow QT 5 to distribute the water while the two battle it out.
On the surface, it looks like QT 5 has a real problem and it could take years to resolve..
I'm going to add QTFV on one of my alerts-lists and let them tell me whenever there's break or a change..
Meanwhile, the PPS could take some more big hits, but if QT 5 gets permission to distribute, it could also make a nice run...
It's not bad enough when we have to deal with apples and oranges, but now, someone has thrown bananas into the mix...:)
BEVI Director, James Davisdon filed a form 4 because he was given 750K shares from the recent S8 filed by the company..eom
ARSW filed a S8 to register 60M shares..eom
CBQI, am I reading this correctly?
first, they opened at .04X.045....
had about 20K sold at .04 and they lowered the bid to .035
Had about 5K sold at .035 and they lowered the bid to .025!
And the ask is holding at .045.
Anyone have an idea what's going on?
IMO, the MMs don't want to buy any more shares, but on the other hand, by keeping the ask high, they don't want to sell any.
or.......?
VRA, at .25 on the AMEX had been showing a little strength in the last week of so....up about 20%
But, today they may have shot themselves in the foot.
they filed a form 424B3, a prospectus to convert 47.5M shares for CD and Warrents.
Art, I noticed that you're running the VIVI board...
What's going on with that stock?
Did they ever get a plane in the air?
TIA
CBQI seems to have gotten a second wind in the last couple of days....at .04 it almost doubled....
The chart looks good..........
Stevo51, WOW!...I've never seen a statement from a company telling me to "read between the lines."......:)..Thanks.
FWIW, as I've told Wise several times, I'm firmly convinced that ARSW is due for a major bounce, but I don't expect it to bottom until it gets to sub-penny levels....
BTW, you wouldn't happen to be from Bodaga Bay, would you?
ETCR, at .05, jumped over 78% today on no news...
wazzup????
