Hi griff, I don't know how to retrieve a deleted chart, but it seems to me I have seen this discussed on the SCAN site where there are quite a few knowledgeable StockCharts users.
Quasi may see your post here and have some suggestions.

In response to jjmentat:
I can't comment on Windows 10 because I have not tried it.
I am using Windows 7 on a five-year old PC desktop that I had built for me. With Windows 7 my computer accomplishes everything that I ask of it. And I am very familiar with this OS.
Windows 7 will still be supported through 2020, (I think I read). By then this computer will be about 9 years old. Maybe I will stretch it out to 10 years. When I replace it, I will look at what OS I need at that time.
Meanwhile, I won't have to wonder what privacy I have given up to obtain the free Windows 10 OS.
My parents taught me never to accept candy from strangers. I'm an old man now, but I am still suspicious when someone offers me something for free.
I don't mind that many people have chosen the free upgrade and seem quite happy with it. It is just not something that I need.

Thanks for the FYI note.
Hope that gets resolved quickly for you.
You might also want to post on the StockCharts Answer Network. There are quite a few active posters there and someone who is on a Mac may have dealt with this already, or at least able to confirm that the same is happening on their system.

I've been using the HTML5 Annotation tool for quite a while now. I just tried the Annotate: Flash (old). That is working normally on my PC, as well.
Good Morning. I am not on a Mac, so can't offer a suggestion.
Sure seems like something to contact Support with.
Annotation tool is working normally on my PC with Windows 7.

Hi Strong Chart,
When you are in the StockCharts.com site and you request a symbol that is not in their system the page that opens is the Site Search page. On that page there is a link to "Request a Symbol".
Cush
Hi Strong Chart,
As I've said here before, I don't follow or trade the micro-penny stocks on the OTC.
I took a look at a few of the stocks in your list. I am sure some of them could offer a good return if bought and sold in sufficient quantities.
It's a whole different world, isn't it. AXXE just had a reverse split of 1:2,500 shares and it's now trading at a cent and a half. And it shows it traded 4000 shares today. That's about 60 bucks I think.
I am not sure of the criteria for getting a stock added to StockCharts.com, but I imagine there is a threshold of interest and value that must be met.
Submitting a request to StockCharts.com is the only way I know of to get a stock added to their system.

Thanks golf nut.
Bruce's life is a reminder to us all to live and enjoy every day and be thankful for what we've got.
Internet upload and download speeds affected by Firefox version.
Has anyone else seen this? Any idea why this would be happening?
I rarely update my Firefox browser, and I use it exclusively as my browser.
Last week my upload speed suddenly went from instantly to about 5 seconds or so. I waited for my ISP to admit they had a problem and fix it. After 4 or 5 days of this, I happened to be in my banking site. They have had an announced upgrade-coming notice for a few weeks now. They had just added a warning about older versions of browsers, so I decided to upgrade Firefox. Like magic, the delayed upload problem vanished.
Last night and this morning, I had a severe download issue (taking more than a minute to open sites). I again upgraded to the latest version of Firefox (newer than the one last week) and again, shazzam, everything is working normally again.
Malwarebytes isn't finding anything on the system.
I am using Windows 7.
Anyone else seeing this issue?
Hi Lt Corson, someone here may have some suggestions.

golf nut, thanks for doing that. Thanks for letting them know how much we all appreciated Bruce's generosity with his time and his help. He is a good man.
Frankie, I am just seeing your note now. No problem for me, I am able to log in, as usual. Hope your problem was resolved.
Well tothe, that's an interesting one.
Looks like the StockCharts.com data feed ends on February 23rd. I don't see anything in the news that would account for that.
Those are good charts you've posted. Why don't you send those along to Support at StockCharts.com. I am sure they will have an explanation.
Please let us know what you find out.

TSX 60 - Relief rally, or the start of something more.
We've been climbing through some of these downtrend channels. It would be significant if we could break above that upper downtrend channel line at about 770. Then we might start watching the 800 level for another landmark. On the other hand, another downtrend from here would be just more of the same downtrend we've been in since last May.
Hey trader guy,
Micro caps are not something I have ever followed.
"Plenty of volume" in that price range may be relative. Past performance and current time range are probably also a factor.
If several requests haven't done it, I would suggest giving it some more time (a month or two) and then trying again if volumes are still consistently relevant within that price range.
The way the markets are going everything will be a micro cap, soon.

Joe, that's quite a story. No need to tell me more.
StockCharts.com works well for me.
Cush
Hi Joe, data from the Nasdaq seems to have no delay now. Is that what you are seeing now?
Cush
Joe, I have been using StockCharts.com for going on 15 years. As far as I know, charts other than the indexes have been on a 15 minute delay all that time. There is a service to have real-time charts that can be subscribed to. For that service, I believe they pay a fee to the data provider or the exchange itself on the subscriber's behalf.

For Canadian equities, the settlement date this year is Thursday, December 24th. That is the last day for tax loss selling to be treated as a tax loss in 2015.
This may not have much of an effect this year. Are a lot of large investors sitting on substantial capital gains this year? Probably not. Therefore, no real tax-loss-selling advantage for anyone underwater.
As I see it, anyway.
YTD Performance
S&P 500 - down 2.59%
Russell 2000 - down 6.95%
TSX Comp - down 10.99%
TSX Small Cap - down 17.72%
These numbers do not take into account the drop in value of the Canadian dollar. As per the previous post, this has been a difficult year in Canadian markets.
Six and a half trading days to go.
I was just reading Frances Horodelski's morning newsletter from BNN. It is always a good read.
She lists some numbers today.
-25.38% - TSX return, year to date, in U.S. dollars – the worst of the major markets in the world.
Nice charts. Makes you wonder how the TSX can only be down 11% on the year. Should be some interesting year end mutual fund results.
Bruce, the following article was on the CTV online news here in Canada, this evening. Thought you might find this interesting.
Here's a link to the article.
http://www.ctvnews.ca/health/new-therapy-hopes-to-slow-deadly-form-of-brain-cancer-1.2702024
And the article itself, below:
New therapy hopes to slow deadly form of brain cancer
Denis Raymond hardly goes anywhere without his backpack.
But it isn't any ordinary bag: it contains a device called the Optune, which connects to wires that run along the inside of his shirt, and are attached to electrodes on his head.
The technology creates a small electromagnetic field that is directed towards the brain and is being tested for the treatment of a form of brain tumour -- glioblastoma -- which sees most patients die within one to two years of their diagnosis.
Raymond, who was diagnosed with the fast-spreading cancer more than two years ago, signed up for a trial of the device after receiving traditional treatments.
The math teacher needed to shave his head in order to attach the six electrodes, which deliver the low-intensity jolts of electricity that doctors hope are disrupting the division and reproduction of cancerous cells.
Besides lugging around the backpack, and dealing with the large batteries that last only three hours, Raymond says the device is "non-invasive" and he doesn't "feel a thing when it's on."
And in his case, the results have been positive. Patients with glioblastoma are typically given 15 months to live, but Raymond has outlived that prognosis by 13 months. He also still works as a math teacher, and has a maintained an active lifestyle that includes hiking and biking.
"The doctors, every time I meet them, they say nothing new: 'You're doing awesome. Everything is good, keep doing what you're doing,'" said Raymond.
"As it stands there has not been a change in the past year."
Raymond is one of nearly 700 patients with glioblastoma who was involved with trials of the new electromagnetic therapy.
A study funded by Novacure, which produces the Optune, found that 315 patients involved in the trials, who also underwent traditional chemo-radiation therapy, saw "significantly prolonged progression-free and overall survival."
Dr. Garth Nicholas, an oncologist at the Ottawa Hospital's Cancer Centre who led the Canadian arm of the trials, said the device gives physicians "another option" for patients with glioblastoma, which he described as "very difficult" to treat.
"This is a field where there are infrequent advances in treatment, and where it is rare to have a new development that improves the survival of patients. Anything in that regard is certainly welcome," said Nicholas.
The study indicated that the device adds on average about three months to a patient's life expectancy, results which Nicholas classified as "modest."
"It is far from being a cure, but it is another step in the right direction and some patients truly benefit," he said.
But for people like Raymond, a few extra months could make a huge difference.
"When you are looking at -- with the best treatment -- a medical survival of 15 months, three extra months is very significant," he said.
Nicholas said the device could also prove to be useful in the treatment of other forms of tumours.
"There is no reason to expect that this will not potentially work for other types of tumours, and we are on the brink of a whole host of studies that will look at this device in other cancers," he said.
