Internet upload and download speeds affected by Firefox version.

Has anyone else seen this? Any idea why this would be happening?

I rarely update my Firefox browser, and I use it exclusively as my browser.

Last week my upload speed suddenly went from instantly to about 5 seconds or so. I waited for my ISP to admit they had a problem and fix it. After 4 or 5 days of this, I happened to be in my banking site. They have had an announced upgrade-coming notice for a few weeks now. They had just added a warning about older versions of browsers, so I decided to upgrade Firefox. Like magic, the delayed upload problem vanished.

Last night and this morning, I had a severe download issue (taking more than a minute to open sites). I again upgraded to the latest version of Firefox (newer than the one last week) and again, shazzam, everything is working normally again.

Malwarebytes isn't finding anything on the system.

I am using Windows 7.

Anyone else seeing this issue?
