Not being as familiar with the RDI site, what makes you believe information there precludes the possibility of a relationship with Ants? And do you have anything specific in mind for a third possibility?
Nevertheless, we may indeed be a part of RDI now. The lack of support from Ants is one indicator. There's probably only two possibilities here. The good doctor changed the product enough while at Ants that he considers it his property, or that Ants is working with, or owned by RDI. I would like to know what the "key ADS technologies"(see below) are in the ACS. Is this referring to the Sullivan patents? And whatever they may be, are they still part of the current ACS on RDI's site? I don't believe the ACS has been granted a patent yet. Not close to an expert on these things, but I believe it's pending. From the Ants/Four Js press release:
"ANTs will also retain unrestricted license rights to key ADS technologies that are utilized in the ANTs Compatibility Server."
WHERE IS THE ADS?!?!?!?!
Yes, he put a lot of money into Ants(private investments), and at least some of his shares are preferred. I would think yes, but I wonder if he knows any more than we do, which is next to nothing WHERE IS THE ADS!?!?!?!
What compensation could he/they receive by doing such? The only danger I see with Fletcher is more shares issued due to possible "down rounds". Ants became a dilutive disaster towards the end. The exchange note holders are the ones to pay attention to (Manchester, etc.). They hold the companies assets as collateral.
The last I heard, he didn't own very many shares. Can't state for a fact though. The first questions that needs to be resolved are which version is RDI planning on selling, and if it's his so called AAA, what exactly is different about it than the original ACS. Supposedly, he showed the AAA to Don Haderle. Anybody on close personal terms?
I didn't mean to slight the first possibility. That would be we are somehow working with RDI.
I've always had doubts about Frank's claims concerning the so-called AAA(universal compatibility). Not knowing anything about software coding and very little about computers makes this pure speculation on my part, but having a given database communicate with a certain other database would seem to me to require a certain amount of information specifically written for those 2 databases. Of course if enough information about all the availible databases is encoded into the product, then it might very well become universally compatible at some point. At any rate, the product doesn't appear to be universally compatible on the RDI site. They(RDI) do acknowledge the origins:
" The ACS was developed by ANTs Software, Inc. continuously since 2005 at a cost of over $85 million dollars."
Is it possible Ants collapsed(well...you know what I mean;), the exchanged note holders seized the technology and then put it in Franks hands in hopes of a fiscal return? What then, of the ADS? And why did it(ADS) disappear from the Ants website, leaving only the ACS?????? What exactly did Frank do to the product when he took the reins at Ants. Was it changed enough that he could be considered an owner? Then why give credit to Ants on the RDI site for the developement? These are questions we really need answered.
Todd, I noticed your post on the RDI board regarding the license agreement. I looked through the 8K's and couldn't find it. Do you have a link?
From RDI's home page:
"Architecturally advanced Data base migration software, Sports Analytics for NBA........"
Even though what's described on the product page doesn't seem to have universal compatibility capabilities, the words used on the home page lead one to think maybe this is the so called AAA. I've received differing versions of the technical aspects of this product from different managements. C'mon guys, what's going on.
A clarification to the previous post. Remember the AAA was purported to be able to migrate from any database to any other. Even though the list mentions names unfamiliar from the previous ACS product, I understood that the next product being developed was a Microsoft to DB2 one, and that is because apparently the Microsoft database is built on the Sybase architecture, which would make their coding for that product easier. Is it possible someone's been working on the product.
Yes, very interesting. The first thing I noticed(see Lio's quote), is that the product appears to be the original ACS and not the much touted(by Frank) AAA(advanced architectue). Could be a case of the lab versus the real world. Who knows? Todd, how do you know about the license? I didn't see any information on the website. They mentioned that the product is marketed and supported by IBM. Someone good with searching needs to check and see if IBM has shown any indication of renewed interest in the ACS. NOW WHERE IS THE ADS!?!?!?
It was effective(funny) for me, but I can't eliminate that possibility. We really need to know the terms of the purchase. Say for instance if we knew it had somehow been paid in full, I'd have a lot less doubts now. Even then, could the exchange note holders consider it part of their debt if they started getting aggressive. I like your optimism.
I like your former thought
Definitely possible. If the whole thing was dead, why eliminate just the ADS from the website? It may very well be dead, but right now there's too many unanswered questions. I would really like to know what the last year of sales were for the Genero DB(ADS at 4Js). Maybe the ADS is being worked on/modified? But by who??? Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!
Now here's the message I received from Joe at his spaceship buried deep under Atlana. The ADS is the foundation of the Utah Data Center, and we're all going to become filthy rich. C'mon baby, raise the debt limit. Ants shareholders need some new toys
All the more reason to wonder about the status of the ADS. Does no one want it? If that's not the case where exactly is it? Gone from the website as far as I can tell. Did we sell it? Lose it to 4Js? Rik pulling a fast one (not that he would) is extremely doubtful as shareholders were buying the stock under the impression Ants owned the product. Can you say lawsuit? After all, it was all over the web site. Surely the underlying technology has value. From the press release announcing it's return:
" ANTs patented lock-free technology is a game changer that actually increases throughput as user load increases."
Let Larry stick that in his new product.
Does anyone know how this works? Do you automatically get the tax loss now, so that even if you don't otherwise use it, starting this year 3,000 would be applied against ordinary income? And if the company comes back....cough, hak, cough, would our cost basis be zero? Or is it up to each individual as to when the tax loss starts?
I really need to know the status of the ACS and especially the ADS before there's any throwing in of the towel.
Hi T. I want to know about the status of the ADS. Why was it scrubbed from the website??? If the exchange note holders(Manchester and Co.) started playing hardball, why would they take it from the hands of the former top salesman, assuming that's even possible given it was acquired after the exchange note agreement? Where did/is the money coming from for the purchase of the ADS? We need clarification on these issues, as it's becoming increasingly difficult to allow any benefit of the doubt. Remember, this was the database that won out over Oracle( can you say lobbyists;) for implementation on a state of the art Navy ship.
So why were they at least thinking about a new name back in 2012 when it wasn't yet officially owned by Ants as near as we can tell? And I really doubt it, but has anybody tried to communicate with 4Js to see if they repossessed it for some reason?
Antro or anyone else, do you remember if the description given for the RDS was basically identical to the description for the ADS?
Interesting. The 2012 copyright is confusing, but this is a lead on my earlier questions. Is the Ants name toxic? Antro, how did you figure this out?
So where is the ADS? Sold?? Undergoing some sort of revamp???(with what money?), Repossessed by 4js????
I got it. The government bought it. What with processing all of our personal information who could possibly need it more
Well I can dream.....after all that just might be all we have left.
Obviously no guarantees, but I truly believe we're dealing with a team that strives for integrity. We all know the products have potential, let's just hope the Manchester and company debt issue can be satisfactorily resolved.
Intentionally trying to mislead? On an Ihub message board?...nah....couldn't be possible
Good. Now they can incorporate in Wyoming
And no, I don't know anything.
I'm going to honor the request by Ants of not divulging the contents of the letter, but I will state that what you said about the ACS is not correct.
The prophecy of the ACS/ADS shall be fulfilled. The countdown has begun, as the bumbling government stooge of the aliens has shut off access to the precious list of true believers. The innocents will soon realize the unprecedented power of these otherworldly gifts when Joe hi-jacks the Coast to Coast radio broadcast to illuminate all. Which road taken to the final destination matters not. The prophecy shall be fulfilled.
And the saga continues, except now I think we're beginning the Twilight Zone episode
Rik has not made a career out of being a penny stock executive, promotor, or anything else to do with penny stocks.
Find out what the company is willing to offer. I wonder if it's a premium to the closing price? Ants would be wise to pick up as many as they can afford if the price is right.
Since the kindly administrator removed my post, let me just say those migration tools are a dime a dozen and not in the same league as the ACS. And you are aware that the database the customer is moving to in their example is the Ants ADS, yes?
Almost assuredly wrong. They were just telling you what commonly happens when a company goes private. It happened to me once. Rik has the ADS now, and combined with the ACS technology, he should have little trouble selling it. Patience.
Yes. I can't think of management I'd trust more to try and do right by shareholders.
Not that any of those would be desirable to exercise for the near future
How do you think this will affect outstanding warrants and options?
Have no knowledge of how that'll go. I suspect a little work on our part may be involved, because I believe the transfer agent isn't aware of individual lots, just a block, that say, Ameritrade holds. Is there any way the company could have accessed this information with the last 4? Some knowledgable person, please elaborate.
Not sure what to think/say, other than I've come to trust management, and that's a very important aspect of the situation. The holders that I wonder about are JGB and company(the exchange notes) for they had money due that was never paid them( to the best of my knowledge), and at any rate, a 13G was never filed, and feel sure if shares were issued, the amount would have triggered that filing(5%). So we have no idea, as to this debts status. At this point, I'd much rather the company try to pay off the note(original deal), as opposed to compensating with shares. And the only preferred shareholder I'm aware of is Constantin, but most of the shares he purchased were not preferred. Could the preferreds affect the status of his commons?
As always, the value of the company is what someone is willing to pay for it, but how is that to be determined going forward? The next investment?
Just how much money and time(money;) does a company save by going private? Anyone know?
I hear about companies going private because of the low valuations the market places on them. If a large group, or the company itself doesn't buy more shares(or the whole thing) before going private, is there any other point to this reasoning?
And Mgd, I noticed that bottom paragraph as well. But at the expense of who?
The PC police removed the post(off topic???), so I'll edit to satisfy them.
These filings have to be done every year by 5% holders (or when moving above or below that threshold). It's interesting to look at the new Fletcher filing, compared to last year.
This year - 8.4% (based on 165,141,861 shares of Common Stock of the Company consisting of (i) 151,205,984 shares reported by the Company to FAM to be outstanding as of July 31, 2011 and (ii) 13,935,877 shares of Common Stock underlying the Warrants (as defined below) issuable within 60 days as of December 31, 2012).
Last year - 9.6% (based on 145,265,814 shares of Common Stock of the Company consisting of (i) 140,766,444 shares reported by the Company to FIL to be outstanding as of June 30, 2011 and (ii) 4,499,370 shares of Common Stock underlying the Warrants (as defined below) issuable within 60 days as of December 31, 2011).
As you can see, July 31, 2011 is not up to date information, and only a month different than last years filing. It makes you wonder if these institutions, frustrated with this lack of information, complained to the SEC. What I would like explained to me is the aggregate number beneficially owned. It's the same amount(13,935,877) in both filings, but the new filing has that amount as underlying the warrants???
Yes, at this point I think those filings would have come in regardless. Look for Constantin's next.
Maybe, but I always thought that site was a joke. I mean c'mon, "Here are some examples of our latest work", looks like images sourced from the net.
Not much. It's Ironridge's filing and has to do with 5% owners. Last year, or whenever, when they were thinking about investing it appeared that it might have been necessary to increase the OS so they didn't tip their 4.99% limit. Maybe at the time they kinda(LOL, I know)theoretically went over that limit, so had to file. I just don't know. At any rate it appears they're definitely under 5% now.
No way. Unless there is Oscar worthy acting going on. Rik and Joe do not exactly get along. Remember, Joe decided to sell the ADS just when Rik was getting up to cruising speed with the product. But I agree about the suspicious nature of this. Definitely not an idealist concerning human nature, and what people will do in positions of power. You just have to keep from swinging too far in that direction.
