Hi Don, did you change the DPI? Some programs don't like it when you change it. Right click on the desk top, select property, the in the window select the settings tab. Then click on advance, you should see the DPI setting. 96 dpi is the normal setting. Try setting it to that.
If you don't want to build your own these are pretty to look at. http://www.digitaltigers.com/index.shtml
Hi Eva, if only I was single, Young and not disabled I would join you. Sounds like a lot of fun traveling like that. Being that I am not any of those things, check out, http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/guide/laptops.asp
, here is the search I used. http://www.alltheweb.com/search?cat=web&cs=utf8&type=all&q=pcmcia+card+multiple+monitors...
Any computer clubs where you live? I bet you could get them to put one together for you. Or high school computer classes.
You may want to make that a big fast computer! I think four would be all you would want on one computer.
Display Problems. Thought I would post about my sisters computer problem, and what I did to solve it. My sister called me the other day asking if I could look at her computer. The symptoms were the computer sounded like it was booting up normally but no display. As we live in trailers right next to each other, I brought her computer to my house to try with my monitor. Had the same symptoms. I opened up the case and sure enough her graphic display is built into the motherboard, I was thinking that if the graphics were bad I could give her a card I had that was just sitting around, but how to set it up in the bios. Then it struck me I had seen this before. So I reached in and shorted the CMOS memory with the shorting pin. Turned the computer back on and had a display. It happened that on my computer me and my half brother were looking at the shared memory on my computer, and he set it to zero in the bios, and I had to short the CMOS memory to get the display back. Now my sister would never go into the bios, which leaves the question how did it get changed? Maybe a new virus is out and about.
Hi Tom, be sure to explain the zigzag chart to her also.
Hi Doniam, I suspect the old ram will not fit in the new machine, the difference between DDR and regular dram. Almost all new machines are running DDR. If you do find that it fits you will have to slow down the speed of the ram bus to the slower memory.
Sounds like for what ever reason the registry file is damaged. I would try to get any files I wanted of the hard drive then format the hard drive and reinstall the operating system. I wish I could tell you something better.
I am not familiar with them, but read the terms and agreement link, you agree to use their search engine. What type of ads are you trying to block? I have been using webwasher for a long time. It blocks just about every thing except for the new flash ads.
It probably is connected to your restore points. I believe the disk cleanup program can delete them, also I think there is a place you can control the size of the space that is given to the restore points. I think it is in the system settings in the control panel.
Yes, you can add subtract multiply and divide, and use ().
Hi Aim I think Devron is starting out small, he will probably switch later when it gets large enough. Being that he said 80/20 he is probably going to use that in aim.
Hi Devron, read message number seven. Your plan should do ok. I would check the balance, and put the money into which ever fund is the lowest.
Hi AIM, check with your ISP, see if they didn't give you some storage space with your account, for a persional web page. Almost all of them do. If so have them set it up for you. then you use a ftp program to upload the pick to the directory they give you. If they can't do that there are places on the web you can buy storage at.
Hi Aim Hier, here is a URL link that will bring up the UnderDog screen in the MSN stock screener.
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/invsub/finder/finderx.asp?Query=SV1QS2F92Z06S2F9999ZF4Z00F107Z0...
If you have never used the stock screener before, you should be sent to a page to install it. After installing it just click on this link again. In the middle of the page you will see the stock screen. here are the rows top to bottom.
1. Dow Jones Membership ask me you select which Dow Jones you want.
2. Previous Day's Closing Price display
3. % Price Change Last Year low as possible
4. Previous Day's Closing Price/200-Day Moving Average display
5.52-Week High-Previous Day's Closing Price)/(52-Week High-52-Week Low)*-100 display
6. 5-Year High Price-Previous Day's Closing Price)/(5-Year High Price-5-Year Low Price)*-100 display
7. Current Dividend Yield display
8. Previous Day's Closing Price-52-Week Low)/52-Week Low*100 display
9. Previous Day's Closing Price-5-Year Low Price)/5-Year Low Price*100 display
Ok Aim Hier, that makes some since to me. But that may not be the best time to get in the stock. The stock could drop and stay down, you would at first get a large difference, and then as the 200 day MA dropped the difference would become less and less.
Have you checked out the Dogs of the Dow theory? http://www.dogsofthedow.com/ It is a similar theory, it comes up with a lot of the same stocks that Dow Underdogs do.
Also check out (long term William %R). Using the stock sreener on MSN I could make a screen for it. I can use ether the five year high/low or the 52 week high/low for the test.
Hi Lawtell, in case you can't find the other stand-offs you should be able to get rubber stick on cones. You should be able to get them at any place that build's computers.
Hi Aim Hier, could you expand on what the price to 200 day MA ratio does for you, What are you looking for?
Hi Keith, if he sold out of the first printing this fast I am sure there will be more printed. I think that web site I gave you is more advance. They started working on their software ten years ago. The basic principles are the same but they add the basic growth rate of the stocks to the mix. You start out by making a ten year bond ladder. Each year as that year's bonds come due they are cashed in for that years income. Because the stock market goes up and down, some years you will not sell stocks to replace the bonds with, when the stock market is above the average rates of return you sell some shares to buy bonds with. This page explains better than me. http://www.isgplanning.com/Storm.htm
Retirement Planning! For people that are ready to retire, the question becomes how to manage all those stocks that you have collected so you will have a steady income. Should you keep it all in stocks and cash in just what you need each month? A type of reverse Dollar Cost Averaging. There is growing evidence that if you do it you will most likely run up short, and not have enough money. Some people say to put part of your portfolio in to a bond fund, but a bond fund will vary in price. This web site says you should have part of your money in growth stocks, part in blue chip stocks, and/or part in high yield stock, and part in a bond ladder. They have a free for personal use software to help you set it up. If you are a financial planner you can buy the pro version of the software. http://www.isgplanning.com/Index.htm
Hi Keith, I remember a while back you were talking about a book that talked about keeping your money in three buckets? I just found this web site, http://www.isgplanning.com/Index.htm that is talking about using growth stocks, and blue chip stocks, and/or high yield stocks, and a bond ladder. They have a free for personal use software, or if you know a financial planner they could buy the pro version.
Hi Tom, you said about JBL, I eventually slashed into the Portfolio Control to restart the account. That was at the beginning of 2003. I reduced the PC value enough so that the very first sell trade would be historically profitable. It was like starting over again. Could you go more in depth on how you did this? To me one should keep track of one's average cost and readjust PC based on (average cost X shares). But as I have never done this there may be some good reasons why one should not.
Hi Tom looks like he has been off Ihub for a while. This does show a email address, http://www.investorshub.com/boards/profile.asp?User=10226 Think we should all send him a email?
Hi before jumping into one of these you should read what happen to Tom's fund. He did have it on the web site, not sure where.
Hi Aim hier, it could also be profit taking, I think it has been a year sense the beginning of the rally.
We tried to hold it down some once we knew you were gone. lol
This internet explorer patch, did you get it off of? http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
Hi stockgrl, I see you tried to post a chart, but did not succeed. Read the header here http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=1277 on how to do it. Step six is very important, also be sure you donot use the address out of the address window! Here is your chart.
Hi I see that TC replyed, which is good. I don't know much about laptops.
Been a while since I used zonealarm, there should be a log page there somewhere. If I remember right it had a view and a reset log button on it.
Try reseting zonalarms log file. It is probably getting long.
Sometimes they use diffrent sites. You can view the source file and find the url.

You trying to say I have bad taste in women? You got to look at the whole package. She don't talk back to you!
ROTFLMAO! Oh, well just as soon as I can get divorced, set me up with your cousin!
Buck I didn't know you leaned that way! But now that you had the newest form of sex change, you look sort of cute!
Hi Excel, just when I thought I knew something. Just forget all I have ever said! lol! I'll have to go looking for a book on windows XP so I can get really dangerous!
Not sure, but open up windows explorer and right click on the drive, then click on properties. That will tell you for sure.
Hi Excel, sounds like your hard drive is almost full!
Total Virtual Memory 1.35GB
Available Virtual Memory 832.82 MB
Page File Space 866.82 MB
Available Virtual Memory 832.82 MB Is I believe the maximum hard drive space for your swap file, now known as the page file.
Total Virtual Memory 1.35GB This is the memory above and your 512 megs of ram.
Available Virtual Memory 832.82 MB and the Page File Space 866.82 MB I am not exactly sure why these two are not the same. But I would imagine it has something to do with when you put files in the swap file you have to keep track of them with some kind of index file.
