I would encourage everyone to give the interview with Dr. Menon and Leo another listen.
Dr. Menon is so ecstatic about B, and the platform they have with it. Mr. Cox tried to ask about other things, and then Dr. Menon went on for another 5 minutes about B. Makes sense that they needed a COO now. I think we are going to see a large number of concurrent B trials started in 2015. How many multitudes is B worth over Durata's buyout? That's the question.
This may also explain why they feel they need to make an acquisition to complement the B platform.
Yes, talked about the backbone of B and was quite excited about this.
Leo = Bumgarner
Always nice to have leverage when negotiating, and this will certainly help. Leo has shown the ability to use funds very diligently, and if we aren't getting the right offers, this will sustain us until we do.
Hmmmmmm, going to hold 3.30 and make a run at new highs, or test 3.10?
You are probably correct.
Thanks for pointing that out!
Agreed on SP. I'm a market veteran and struggling with this. Hopefully, the next few weeks will start to put that struggle to the wayside. Probably just an amazing opportunity for anyone willing. Hopefully, we aren't missing something, but don't think we are.
We need a big endorsement of some kind, even if it is just from the investment community. I expect we'll see something of the sort soon.
Enough about boogie men and OTC. I've seen plenty of stocks cruise to double digits on the OTC, and the boogie man doesn't exist.
There is a lot of easy money in here at the moment that is fickle. Some of it is exiting now and moreto shake.
II'm surprised by the lack of buying somewhat, but more surprised how many shares have sold the event. Oh well, it didn't take too much vision to make 30%+ recently. I'd argue the same for the next 100%, but understand why not as many recent playas can't.
Might be time to knockout some of the recent money that has arrived, and then set course for your target.
It has made me ask myself, what am I missing? If we are playing devils advocate, what are we missing, because it seems like CTIX should have pushed much higher on this news.
Maybe the news hasn't gotten out there well enough? Maybe people want to see more tangible data?
Hopefully, it's just an amazing opportunity for those that take advantage of it.
23.8% now with the Obamacare surcharge.
There are some institutions that can buy now. I would think we'll see a name or two show up on the reporting soon.
Very true about their lack of vision. It's severely lacking. CTIX actually doesn't take all that much now, but you have to put some energy into digging through the situation. When you see Dr. Menon's track record, what Leo has done with burn rate, the skin in the game, the institutions they are involved with, the brilliance of B acquisition, I don't think it takes as much vision as maybe some other speculative plays.
I would prefer my friends to have a personal position. There will be plenty of funds that can own it professionally.
I think it will take more than this week to get a solid handle on the broad market direction. I'm watching S&P500 1880-1900 level. If that becomes resistance, then I would favor the bears.
Agreed that CTIX won't care much about the broad market. It will be impacted some from time to time, but were probably talking about a reduction in the craziness it will reach in near term highs, and maybe slightly lower consolidation areas. It may well benefit from the only game in town. Plus, I don't perceive the next bear market to be as rough on ALL stocks. I think it will be far more drawn out, and people will still look for pockets to "hide" their money, rather than a free-fall where everyone runs for the hills.
Damn...quite the war for the cheapies ensuing.
You and I both had $3.40 as an area it should almost mathematically was destined to hit after the breakout. Logical point to take basis out for the $1.70 base. I think we'll probably close near the HOD, and Monday will hopefully keep the mojo going. If not, what an opportunity.
Again, I've never seen a public company so undervalued.
Maybe today, but if we close near HOD, doubt it's in play Monday
Agreed. Brilliant move. I love what this implies towards the drug they went all-in on, Kevetrin.
Beautiful!
Appreciate the reply.
1) Not buying that. I trade by charts.
2) Not buying this either. I've read a lot of tape in my day.
Agree we'll get the proper valuation given enough time.
Please don't take my replies as rude, just disagree on that being the reason.
Maybe there was a ton of front-end loaded shares that were going to sell the news, and as the move didn't take place, more frustrated shares hit the market?
Maybe CTIX raised all the money for negotiations and Aspire is abiding by their rules of distribution? I don't know.
Don't be so insecure. I really am surprised by it and trying to make sense of it.
How were there that many shares for sale in blue skies and after terrific results? Hard to comprehend.
I'm surprised we haven't seen a bigger reaction. I guess it will take some time to sink in. Wouldn't have thought there would be this many shares for sale at this level.
This was great timing too for leverage on a partnership. http://online.wsj.com/articles/actavis-agrees-to-acquire-durata-therapeutics-1412599110

SINGLE DOSE!!!!!
Rhetorical.
After a full BOD is put in place. Who will be on the audit committee?
We actually mostly agree. I don't think there is anything nefarious or silly occurring. We are splitting hairs, but:
I think a collection of larger buyers are worried it may take off without them acquiring their full allotment of shares they desire, but then a collection of sellers has plenty to give them. Then, the buyers back off to see what may come to them, then the volume dies out, they push up their buying, and the seller keeps telling them, it's all good, it's not going anywhere, we have plenty for you.
I enjoy watching the exchange, but I'm ready for results to settle the debate.
I don't believe in any conspiracy, but if you are denying that there is a psychological battle going on between the buying and selling here, I'm not sure what to tell you.
Trying to close over $3 for just the third time in CTIX history. Best battle at $3 yet.
How about this afternoon.
You and I could both have accounts at the same broker and one of us could be buying, and one selling.
Do we know if there is bad blood there or not? The fact it was so quiet until settlement was revealed may mean there isn't.
I'd like to see a strong BOD built on top of good B news this quarter. That would sure set the stage for a strong partnership valuation in 2015.
I have no problem with honest doubt. Just get tired of watching a manipulator in action.
Done shaking the tree for shares? Amazing how many times you change your opinion through the course of a week. What changed your mind in the last 24 hours?
I think just getting back to where we were before Patrick Cox suggested taking 1/3 position off the table. Plus, OTC was down for a bit.
