I agree and have thought the exact same thing. They have talked garbage about every other Promotion yet they themselves being the worst for putting the biggest "SPIN" on every Event, Every Fight and every single Fighter. I dread hearing Dana White, Mike Goldberg and worst of all Joe Rogan talking about every single Fighter like there most dangerous and best Fighter in the world and then talking about every other fighter in the world like their nothing unless there in the UFC, on top of the seriously Bias commentating for particular Fighters over others.
The world is just waiting for one honest Promotion who isn't afraid to let their Top fighters fight top talent and calls the Fights for what they are, while just learning from Event to Event and Fight to Fight. One Promotion who doesn't put a Fighter in with a 2 Win and 1 Loss MMA Record / 1 Win and 1 Loss UFC Record Fighter into Fight for the Heavyweight Championship and call him the best in world. In my view the world is looking for compelling Fights that still allow for some doubt and yet the possibility of anything happening without being over the Top in the claims.

UFC on Fox: Cain Velasquez Shows the Perils of False Promotion

No known weaknesses.
That was the line we heard regarding (now former) UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez heading into the historic defense of his title against Junior dos Santos at UFC on Fox 1. We heard it again on the broadcast, courtesy of Joe Rogan. Cain Velasquez has no weaknesses.
Of course, anyone who has followed Cain's career knows this line is nothing more than PR spin. He does have a weakness, and it's in his stand-up defense. Prior to dos Santos, Cain had faced one ranked Heavyweight who used striking as his primary weapon. That striker, Cheick Kongo, hurt Velasquez more than once, prompting many to ask if Cain had problems with his chin and his defense. On Fox, the heavy handed dos Santos found that chin again, and showed that yes, Velasquez can be knocked out, and yes, he does have a weakness.
The question then is, why couldn't the UFC be honest?
Why spin this hyperbole about Cain and his invincibility? Couldn't the story have just as easily been "Velasquez is a dominant champion, but he hasn't faced a powerful striker in 2 years. Last time he did, Cain found himself in trouble. Does the KO specialist challenger have his number?" That's the true story, the one hardcore fans knew was the actual narrative of the fight. But the UFC chose to sell us "Cain can't be beaten" instead.
The trouble is, Cain was beaten, and he was beaten convincingly. And this is where the problem with this kind of promoter speak comes in. Because now, fans who bought the UFC hype are left confused. What the UFC wants fans to walk away thinking is that dos Santos is Just That Good. But instead, the dishonest message only ends up muddying the water and damaging the credibility of the messengers.
This kind of promotion is nothing new to the UFC. They have long promoted champions as unbeatable with no flaws, and challengers as the perfect foil to this superhuman champion. But watching Fox's more sport-oriented production brought the absurdity of these claims into focus.
The UFC needs to take a cue from more mainstream sports coverage. Cut the spin and give fans the truth. An honest appraisal of Velasquez would have added more drama to the fight, not less. And it would have demonstrated that these analysts are indeed experts who understand the complexities of the sport.
Dana White has long insisted that the UFC and MMA should be considered a mainstream sport. The Fox broadcast was a good step in that direction. Now it's time to take that next step and dial down the hyperbole. Sell the fans the truth.

I find the article weak at best and I'm not sure I get his point or really agree with him at all. Although we can all admit the weekend show was not where Pro wanted to be any issues are all very fixable going forward and we all can bet TJay and Rich will make that happen.
The Main Event was a poor one as much due to style mix and these days it takes alot to make Tim Sylvia Fight exciting as it is but to be honest it may have been much more interesting with Pedro Rizzo as a much more experienced Fighter he may been able to draw the Fight in different direction changing the whole outcome of the Fight, the perception of the Event and therefore the Event. So the Sylvia Fight was probably expensive for what it was but by no means do I or should anyone think Tim is earning what he was earning a few years ago and yes a lesson learned in terms of a Card or for sure Main Card until things change for him and how he fights.
Arlovski again a huge name still huge draw and don't think for a minute anyone who has seen the Fight is not interested in seeing more after Highlight Real Finish to the Fight, if only to seen what is going to happen next and with that in my view earned his money and lets not again forget he is not earning what he did few years ago yet still has huge fan following. I personally will be happy to see more.
The formula the author speaks about as that they should have used in Prospects was the one used with 9 out of 11 Fight being all Prospects.
The weakness was in my view was maybe too many Prospects leaving with not enough depth to make it interesting and as with any Prospect they still have some learning to do and it showed, mind you some did shine such as Jake Heun and Evan Cutts with others who did show potential and lets not write off Penn and Ellis just yet as everybody loses at some point and they have the potential to shine. Lets just hope they got their losing out of the way and will work on the weakness in their game, I expect the next showing of these guys to make up for any issues they had this time around and again they fought very capable opponents so our hats should be off to them.
I again think the mix was not where it could have been and few changes could have changed everything but lets all give them a break it's only show #2 with many more to come. I personally would also have much more of middle much more like the last show which was very successful overall so they are not doing bad at all being still right out of the gates and the race ain't over yet. The UFC as other have stated have had lots of Events that were as weak or weaker easily. This Event showed Great Production and Great Potential that all anyone should need to know and everyone should watch for next show as I expect them to come back hard to make the point clear.

ProElite Big Guns: What We Learned About Andrei Arlovski, Tim Sylvia, and Mark Ellis
By: Paul Fladten Date: 06 November 2011
Highlighted by a perfectly executed Andrei Arlovski headkick knockout, another win for Tim Sylvia amongst a spattering of boos, and a gritty scrap between Evan Cutts and Reagan Penn, ProElite “Big Guns” reaffirmed some old theories and brought to light a few revelations. Here is what we learned from Saturday’s event in Illinois.
Andrei Arlovski is Thriving Under Greg Jackson
“The Pitbull” was impressive from start to finish in his scrap against journeyman Travis Fulton. Understanding that he possessed the greater skill set that night Arlovski utilized a smart and well-strategized game plan that wore down his opponent until the last possible second.
Allowing Fulton to expose himself over the course of the fight Arlovski continually landed the bigger shots and avoided Fulton’s takedowns throughout the bout. With one second remaining into a fight that the former UFC champ would have won unanimously, Arlovski recognized his opportunity and ended the fight with a headkick landed flush on Fulton’s chin.
While the knockout will serve as the focal point for fans and pundits, the true brilliance of Arlovski’s performance lays in the new mindset that Greg Jackson has instilled in his fighter. Hopefully the exciting heavyweight can continue this trend and prove that his horrid stretch through Affliction and Strikeforce was just a bad dream.
Fans Will Always Hate Tim Sylvia
Perhaps no one has better explained the relationship between Sylvia and fans than former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra. Before taking on the ultra-popular Georges St-Pierre in Montreal in 2008, Serra was asked how he would handle the hate coming his way from the stands. He answered, “It’ll be like what Tim Sylvia experiences every time he fights”.
Despite controlling the entire fight and outstriking Andreas Kraniotakes on Saturday, Sylvia was repeatedly pelted with verbal assaults from the Moline fans. Jabs such as “Go back to Maine!” and parking lot challenges seemed to do more damage to Sylvia than anything Kraniotakes threw at him.
With a fighting style that can border on boring and an atypical physique Sylvia is no stranger to the verbal abuse. Perhaps no fighter has better portrayed the professional wrestling-like heel than that of Syliva – and public opinion doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon.
Mark Ellis Isn’t The Next Missouri Star
The University of Missouri is constantly churning out wrestlers that are showing the ability to become dominant mixed martial artists. Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Michael Chandler have all made huge splashes within the fight world and own a combined record of 26-0. Fellow Tiger Mark Ellis doesn’t look to have the same type of dominance.
The heavyweight was clearly overmatched by Ryan Martinez within the ProElite Heavyweight Grand Prix and failed to win even one round on any of the judges’ scorecards. The worst part may have been that Ellis failed to secure a single takedown throughout the entire fight.
Ellis failed to camouflage his wrestling attack rendering his offense virtually non-existent from the start of the fight. A wrestler that can’t wrestle in MMA will eventually have to choose a different career field.

Former UFC Champs Arlovski & Sylvia Earn Wins At ProElite: Big Guns Event
Press Release – NOVEMBER 5, 2011(MOLINE,IL.) In the main event of the evening, former 5 time world champion Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia out classed a very game Andreas “Big Daddy” Kraniotakes. After an exciting back and forth first round that saw each fighter stagger their opponent, Sylvia imposed a controlling game plan pinning Kraniotakes along the cage fence. Every judge saw the fight 30-27 for the hard hitting Betterdorf native. This win moves Sylvia’s win streak to 2 in a row.
The co-main event brought a extremely memorable ending by the Pitbull, as Andrei Arlovski had a highlight reel knockout of the very experienced Travis “The Ironman” Fulton by headkick at the end of the third round. After a long feeling out period, Arlovski decided to take the fight to the ground where he dominated with smoothering control and advancing his position. The final stanza saw a devastating left kick to the head of Fulton that left him unconscious on the mat at 4:59 of round three. This puts Arloski on a two win streak as well.
Also on the main card 20 year-old Texan Evan Cutts took the fight to Reagan Penn and handed him his first career loss. With great takedowns and superior ground control, Penn had no answer for the relentless Cutts.
The main card was rounded out by the quarter finals of the Heavyweight Grand Prix. The most notable bout of the tournament was an electrifiying knockout victory for Salt Lake City’s own Jake Heun. In the very first round of his bout, Heun put Ed Carpenter to sleep with a headkick followed by some vicious ground and pound.
In the other bouts of the Grand Prix, Ryan Martinez bested tournament favorite Mark Ellis by unanimous decision, Cody Griffin had a come from behind knockout of Justyn Riley in the third round, and Richard “The Black Eagle” Odoms outlasted a game Rodney Housley to advance to the semifinals of the Grand Prix.

ProElite a step forward and a step behind
2011-11-07 — Keith Mills
(Arlovski KOs Fulton)
At this point following ProElite’s second show (in this incarnation) it is more accurate to put them in context with other HDNet-broadcast shows than their precious existence on Showtime/CBS as EliteXC. PROELITE In that sense “Big Guns” was a step forward from the first ProElite show webcast on Sherdog in August but looked more like an Extreme Challenge show than a MFC or Titan FC show. The fights themselves were a little lackluster with conditioning being the major issue while the outcomes themselves were predictable in the main events and somewhat surprising in the rest of the card. Overall a step forward but a step behind at the same time.
Sylvia tags Kaniotakes. Everyone expected in the main event former UFC champion Tim Sylvia to base his strategy around his size however based on his previous performances he was expected to keep his distance and jab his way to a decision victory. Instead Sylvia spent most of this fight clinching Andreas Kraniotakes against the cage, making the German carry his weight as they exchanged dirty boxing techniques and knees. Sure, it wasn’t the most exciting fight but it was an improvement and a smart fight that earned Sylvia a unanimous decision.
Andrei Arlovski on right. The co-main event was interesting from the perspective of the career of former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski. As mentioned in the preview Arlovski has put his four-loss streak behind him with not only a TKO of Ray Lopez but more importantly a move to Jackson’s MMA. This fight showed the “new” Arlovski putting together the individual aspects he was working on in Chicago as he defended Fulton’s takedown attempts and scored with jabs and kicks in a strategic if unexciting fight. As the final round closed the two fighters returned to their feet and Arlovski unleashed a head kick that knocked the MMA legend out with one second remaining, an exciting end to a strategic fight.
Cutts controls PennA feature fight between BJ Penn’s younger brother Reagan and Evan Cutts was a little disappointing due to Penn gassing after the first round. Round 1 was close but in rounds 2 and 3 Cutts had his way with Penn but could not finish the fight. This being Penn’s second pro fight it isn’t a big deal for him to lose while Cutts looked impressive.
Odoms defeats Riley. In the heavyweight tournament quarterfinals Richard Odoms out-conditioned Rodney Housley, Cody Griffin came from behind to TKO Justyn Riley, Heun finishes Carpenter. Jake Heun turned the tables on Ed Carpenter for a TKO, and Ryan Martinez did a better job of listening to his corner than Mark Ellis earning him the decision. Martinez on Ellis.
ProElite “Big Guns” results:
Todd Monaghan def. Richard McCraw 0:29 R1 by rear-naked choke
Waylon Lowe def. Floyd Hodges 5:00 R2 (between rounds) by TKO
Richard Odoms def. Rodney Housley by unanimous decision
Cody Griffin def. Justyn Riley 0:32 R3 by TKO
Jake Heun def. Ed Carpenter 3:17 R1 by TKO
Ryan Martinez def. Mark Ellis by unanimous decision
Evan Cutts def. Reagan Penn by unanimous decision
Andrei Arlovski def. Travis Fulton 4:59 R3 by KO
Tim Sylvia def. Andreas Kraniotakes by unanimous decision
http://www.adcombat.com/news/2011-11-07/proelite-step-forward-and-step-behind
No disagreement here, I think the matchmaking left alot to be desired and stakes have now been raised. All in all this might be good that something like this happened now and very early in the game, the people seen a well produced Event with big potential and as much as people want the give Arlovski a hard time and question him as Fighter as of recent, his finishing Kick was serious Highlight material.
I think they will step up and expect the next and following events to add some serious pressure.
Andrei Arlovski knocks out Travis Fulton with a head kick at ProElite 2
by Geno Mrosko on Nov 6, 2011 2:30 PM EST in ProElite News & Results
I agree, all in all not bad at all. I thought Production Quality was excellent and the fights were not bad at all with a few highlights to help save the day. I think some of the disappointment for some was the expectation that Penn and Ellis because of who they are, what they did as an Amateur, who they train with and where they train would then allow them to walk threw their opponents but this is the big show and they fought very capable opponents who were not to be taken lightly and so walked away with victories. Martinez easily neutralized Ellis and Cutts made was extremely competitive with Penn with far better Cario. In my opinion both Penn and Ellis need to add to their training dramatically to keep things interesting and to ensure they remain relevant but you can bet both will be far more hungry the next time out.
I personally was not surprised by either fight, myself I had picked Martinez to win and had also picked Penn but also felt it could go either way as Cutts was a very dangerous and capable opponent. I was pretty happy with the Arlovski Fight and feel people have to give Andrei some time as he is just getting back his stride as he was able to prove last night and made his point clear at the very end of the fight. Fulton again a very capable Fighter with a very solid overall record in almost 300 Professional Fights against many of the big best names in MMA. His overall Win percentage is at over 83% and walking into the fight had an overall Win percentage of over 91% in his last 34 Fights with 31 Wins and even now continues with a solid Win record 31 Wins in his last 35 Professional Fights or an 86% Win Record in these fights.
The weakest fight in my view by expectation alone was the Sylvia Fight and I don't blame his opponent Andreas Kraniotakes at all who at many points made some effort to throw some excitement into it but fell to a decision loss to Tim's style of mauling him drowning any opportunity for any real excitement.
I also thought Odoms, Heun and Cutts fought well and were very deserving of their Wins as well as thought Arlovski fought well, even if some thought he could have fought more aggressively he was in my view looking to be very technical and fought a smart fight while still looking for every and any opportunity to finish the Fight which he did in devastating fashion. Again I think he rebuilding and this will take time and thought he looked again better than the previous fight and in my opinion will continue to look better and better with each and every Fight as his confidence and technical skill continue to develop. I think Kraniotakes with the right opponent could make for an interesting and good fight.
Pro will be back and I am sure will they will look a little more closely on the match making as well the mix of fighters for excitement and personally think at this point they should leave Syliva out of the mix.
I do hope that Pro seriously considers doing another show before year end to build some momentum going into next year. All IMO.
Andrei Arlovski's head-kick KO of Travis Fulton at ProElite 2
by MMAjunkie.com Staff on Nov 06, 2011 at 10:15 am ET
Saturday's ProElite 2 co-headliner between Andrei Arlovski and Travis Fulton appeared as though it'd end with a whimper.
But after nearly 15 minutes of plodding action with the heavyweight fighters, Arlovski concluded the bout in violent fashion.
A video of the finish is now available that shows Arlovski's stunning late-fight knockout.
The fight aired live on HDNet from iWireless Center in Moline, Ill. It pitted Arlovski, a former UFC heavyweight champion, against Fulton, a 15-year veteran and unrivaled journeyman on the search for his staggering 248th career victory.
After sustained periods of circling and stalling, as well as failed takedown attempts, the bout offered little entertainment. As the 10-second warning sounded, there was little reason to believe anything would change. But with one kick, Arlovski left with a highlight-reel finish.

Fertittas sanctioned in Xyience case

Oh, how the wheels of justice roll slowly. If it feels like we've been covering the Xyience takeover story for years, it's because we have. This story goes all the way back to 2007 when a blogger named Rich Bergeron got sued for claiming Xyience was under investigation for fraud and all sorts of other crap.
Unfortunately for Xyience, they picked the wrong guy to try and bully. Rich spent the next few years investigating the shit out of Xyience and laid out evidence that the Fertittas set Xyience up to fail so they could take the company over. And finally, years later, we're starting to hear the same story being told in court. Forbes has an article on the current situation:
A federal bankruptcy judge has ordered sanctions against Fertitta Enterprises for failing to turn over e-mails from its chief financial officer suggesting the firm might have had a hand in the bankruptcy of sport-drink maker Xyience. The Fertittas, Las Vegas gambling tycoons who also own the Ultimate Fighting Championship franchise, are accused by the trustee of bankrupt Xyience of lending the firm $12 million at a time of crisis and then using the loan to strip the company’s assets from its shareholders.
...
E-mails were later found on computers at a Las Vegas beer company where Bullard also works. They detailed how Fertitta proceeded with the loan even though there was a potential $150 million buyout offer from Canada’s Cott Corp. Judge King said Fertitta’s “wilful, bad-faith discovery behavior justifies the imposition of monetary sanctions” to be determined at a December hearing.
Now this is just sanctions for attempting to hide the sketchy stuff they did. It will be interesting to see what former Xyience stockholders - who were left high and dry - will be able to get out of this case now that we've learned about this buyout from Cott. I have no idea how crap works in court but that seems like it could be the smoking gun that proves the people running Xyience willfully ran the company into the ground so the Fertittas could take it over.

ProElite 2 Goes Down This Weekend. Who's Ready?
Posted November 4th, 2011 by BJJinMMA
Travis Fulton
Quick, who has the most submission wins on their professional MMA record? What if I told you that there is a fighter with over 100 submission wins on his record. You probably wouldn't believe me. Well I can do you one better than that. This guy has 150 submission wins on his record and 305 professional fights. Shocking numbers for sure. And the best part is he's fighting Andrei Arlovski this weekend.
If you haven't figured it out by now, the man I'm talking about as Travis Fulton. Fulton's nickname, The Ironman, is a good fit for the Iowan who may hold the record for most submission wins in MMA history. Although I guess it's not to hard to start breaking record when you fight 27 times in one year. In 2001, Fulton did just that.
On Saturday night, Fulton will have to bring his A game if he hopes to compete with Andre Arlovski. Arlovski vs Fulton will be co-headlining the ProElite card going down this Saturday at the I Wireless Center in Moline, Illinois. The headlining fight will be between Tim Sylvia and German Judo stand-out, Andreas Kraniotakes.
You can check out the live results from today's weigh ins here. The card should be highly entertaining.
What weight will Tim Sylvia come in at? Can Fulton get that coveted 151st submission victory? And if you needed a little jiu jitsu booster, Reagan Penn, brother of BJ Penn, is also on the card.
You can check out the full line-up below. I've also included a video for the man who has survived enough MMA fights for 3 lifetimes. The mandatory Travis Fulton Highlight Video.

ProElite Confirms Second Bracket of Heavyweight Grand Prix
By: Press Release | Posted: Monday, October 31st, 2011 at 11:49 am.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – ProElite Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is proud to present the first round of their Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament on November 5, 2011 from Moline, Il. This tournament consists of some of the best up and coming heavyweights in the world and the winner will be pushed into the upper tier of the heavyweight division.
Tickets for “ProElite 2:Big Guns” are on sale to the general public at the i wireless Center box office, all Ticketmaster locations (800)745-3000, Ticketmaster online(www.ticketmaster.com) and www.proelite.com
The second bracket of the Heavyweight Grand Prix starts with Proelite veteran Jake Heun (1-1) takes on the a proven finisher in Ed Carpenter (5-1). Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 245 pounds, Heun’s transition from University of Hawaii Linebacker and Running Back to the sport of MMA came pretty naturally due to his athleticism. Now training out of Jeremy Horn’s Elite Performance Gym in Salt Lake City, Utah this freestyle fighter only has one thing on his mind – finish every fight. In his last win on April 23, 2011, he submitted Brandon Morgan via Keylock in the second round (2:45) of their fight in Alaska.
Fighting out of Clarendon Hills, Il and training at the Midwest Training Center along side former WEC champ Chase Beebe and UFC veteran Clay Guida, Ed Carpenter really knows how to lay down the law, finishing all of his opponents before the final bell has rung. On October 15, 2011, against 50-fight veteran Miodrag Petkovic, it took Carpenter only 2 minutes and 54 seconds to submit Petkovic via arm-triangle choke. With a solid wrestling and no-gi jiu jitsu background we can be certain that Carpenter wants to drag this one to the ground and work for an exciting submission win.
Two warriors go to battle in the last quarterfinal Grand Prix bout, as Richard “The Black Eagle” Odoms (5-0) faces off against Rodney Housley (4-1). Standing at an imposing 6-foot-5 and weighing 250 pounds, Odoms will look to continue his 5-fight win streak, which includes a win over UFC veteran Darrill Schoonover on November 6, 2010. This 13-year veteran of the San Antonio Police Department has sharpened his striking skills along side MMA veteran Pete Spratt, so you know he is very dangerous on his feet.
Housley, fighting out of Cincinnati, Ohio, is looking to snap Odoms’ streak at 5 and make a name for himself in this tournament. As an amateur, Housley compiled a record of 9-1 and is a very dangerous standup fighter with knockout power. In Housley’s last fight, his opponent felt his wrath ending it by TKO in round 1(4:50). Look for this fight to be an exciting match up of two men that won’t back down from each other.
Proelite 2: Big Guns will be televised live on HD NET at 8 P.M. CST and 9 P.M. EST

I Agree for sure! I think they are doing awesome on the Sponsorship and Broadcast fronts as well as buying and building a solid Fighter Talent pool for current Events as well as the future.
Add to all of that all the Event Production and Event material look First Class and second to none. ProElite continues to build and gain momentum on all the Big MMA Sites as well tons of attention on Facebook and Twitter.
I think will see an even bigger and new surge of interest and attention from all over after the Big Event this weekend. As we approach November and year end I think Interest and Attention is going to explode. Things are looking incredible for the future of the company and the Stock, which is all good for us.

ProElite is having another show
October 31, 2011
ProElite gears up for their second show. Despite what many have said, ProElite is going to have a 2nd show. In fact they have a 3rd and 4th show lined up, not to mention their HW tournament. Add to that the HDnet deal and things are looking good for ProElite.
Despite the rumors, the previous incarnation and a plethora of other things, ProElite is still in business, in fact they again have a broadcast deal. Not on the level of their previous deal with CBS/Showtime. I would venture to say the current deal is better for them long term. By signing a deal with HDNet they are showing the industry that they plan to move slow, build, grow and expand at a predictable pace. Thus ensuring confidence for future investors and broadcast partners.
I agree! Can't make Dana happy at all! UFC has been starting to look like a circus for while now. Diaz is a pretty good fighter but there is certain amount of respect you pay to people and he doesn't have much of it for anyone. In the end Diaz will get beat by St-Pierre! I don't think Diaz has any special respect for the UFC or loyalty to it and is more there for the pay day, which he feels he is not getting. All good for ProElite! I think the ProElite Event, which will be one more of many more, is going to show them how it's done!

Kraniotakes Cleared to Compete; ProElite Main Event Intact
Oct 27, 2011 By Mike Whitman
It seems ProElite has finally caught a break with its second main event.
After Andreas Kraniotakes was initially denied a license to fight in Illinois, it appears that “Big Daddy” will compete at ProElite’s Nov. 5 event after all. Speaking with ProElite matchmaker Rich Chou on Thursday, Sherdog.com confirmed that Kraniotakes has been cleared by the commission to compete as scheduled.
Originally slated to feature a heavyweight confrontation between Tim Sylvia and Pedro Rizzo, ProElite “Big Guns” was dealt a blow when the Brazilian withdrew from his bout just 10 days ago. Kraniotakes was tabbed as a short-notice replacement, but the German was reportedly denied a license to fight due to a lack of sanctioned bouts on his record. That issue appears to have been resolved, however, and Kraniotakes should compete as planned.
Also featuring a heavyweight co-main event between former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski and well-traveled veteran Travis Fulton, the event will emanate from the I Wireless Center in Moline, Ill. Airing live on HDNet, “Big Guns” will feature notables Waylon Lowe and Reagan Penn, in addition to the opening round of an eight-man heavyweight tournament.
Hailing from Munich, Kraniotakes has won five of his last six fights. The 29-year-old has already competed five times in 2011, earning victories in his last three outings. “Big Daddy” most recently competed on Sept. 17, knocking out David Shvelidze in just 2:51.
