Is that 179,000 shares on the bid?
Go- Exactly! Too many companies invested in Wave-time and money. We are here to stay.
Ok Steven, this is your big news flow action scene. OK, ready...action, "Today wave became a permanent member of the TCG and..CUT! No Steven, try more action. But, but this was huge. A swimming with the giants scene! Listen, Steven, the audience just didn't understand it, they want immediate revenue. OK, now, let's try again.
At some point it will become clear that we are going up and staying up. At that point a lot of short covering will drive us the next leg but in a pretty substantial way. If volume starts climbing above 500k watch out.
It's a nice smell.eom
At least this week passed faster with our expectation of news coming. Next week should be good. I cannot believe SKS would want to go into the SHM prior to good news. Thats usually the pattern. Torture us, then throw us a bone.
OT. Some opinions please. I have not yet been to a share holder meeting. I am in Los Angeles so it is quite a one day trip. Is it worth seeing the presentation in person and hearing the info live vs. after the fact. Does the Wave community get together? (Like nametags for ID to finally meet everyone.) Sorry for the OT.
Watch the volume. We haven't had a short squeeze for a while now. Maybe today.
Where this becomes lot's of fun is when there are Wave updates and product cycles, repeat business as organizations reorder, add employees, and on and on. Once clients are in place they will hopefully stay clients for a long period of time. That means you retain your existing base while growing with new clients. When you think of all the extra services and add ons that are possible in the future like Tvtonic, mobile apps or other new applications we have not even dreamed of yet, it almost makes my overweight in Wave stock seem, well, rational.(my wife would disagree)
Nolan's new restaurant chain, Uwink, is all based on video gaming. They have developed their own proprietary games just for the restaurant.

None of us knows what goes on behind the scenes. The strategy to plant flags may not be a bad one. Look at Dell. First we become an important component of their security package. It does not take us to BE. Then we get a price hike. We are also getting engineering fees from somewhere. We are the experts. Hmmmm, dangerous game but may have been only way to get in. We must continue to wait until the curtain is fully pulled back to make the determinations that we have been trying to make with little info and much speculation.
You would think that someone would pick up on the STX/WAVX connection. At our volume level even a slight upturn of buying would propel us upwards. I wonder why Wave couldn't jump on the bandwagon with an announcement. Could STX achieve the same level of security without Wave? Hopefully the publicity sweeps us along next week.
Do you think Seagate can do it without Wave mgmt. tools or do you think we must be included and receiving our cut?
Lot's of volume. Will be an interesting day.eom
I understand Wave spending lots of money in order to get into Dell boxes and into the core of our other partners. What I don't understand is why do we not have more importance now. To ask Dell or others for more development money should be easy. 5 million for our partners is a drop in the bucket. They know our situation financially. They know it was because of the industry being two years behind schedule. There should be enough personal contacts and friendships that SKS could say "look guys, we are temporarily financially strapped. Remember when I made this part inter operable for you? Well I could use a little cash infusion". It would be an advance on future development cost, or sales, or whatever.
3k more. Is there a Wavx addiction clinic somewhere? I must need help.:)
SHM: I am also going to try and attend. It will be my first.
What are the benefits of your product and company. How are you going to save the world. OK, I'm done.
These presentations are supposed to get people interested in an investment. Your tone and confidence is everything. Sometimes when showing slides you can forget to have involvement with your audience. These presentations should be rehearsed and have some zip to them. We are trying to wake up the world. SCREAM out your message (in a professional manner of course). On a 1-10 with 10 the best, this presentation was a 2.This is why we are depending on our distribution channels. There is not enough internal excitement. If this is how our sales people are trained it explains everything. All speakers that I have heard so far follow this same dull format. The TPM this and the TPM that. Not, we can save you money, embarrassment, management time, etc.
There needs to be more exitment. If you are not excited your audience will not be. There needs to be less tech talk and more sales talk like; "Our computers will protect companies from liability. You can prove that no one has accessed the information on the missing computer. This will prevent your company from having to make embarrassing headlines about lost information and prevent possible liability". The cost is very low. You can have this solution immediately. You can get on the computer and order these now from Dell. Many companies are using us now and there are 400,000 seats that now have us in a pilot program that will hopefully be using us shortly.
All well managed companies will soon be using TPM's. As the first mover and having the finest tpm management tools on the planet Wave will prosper and grow along with the TPM rollout.
His final statements are only now getting a little marketing oriented. He needs presentation lessons. Not being funny or critical. These presentations cannot be "let me put you to sleep" types of presentations.
Why did Charles Schwab send me an offer to loan them my shares? Sorry if this has been discussed but I took a week off from watching. They will pay interest on the shares I lent them. What gives?
Obviously Wave would have to do this.eom
Mundo, I just had a great promotional piece done that included a CD and classy print advertising on the four page jacket. The piece cost about six dollars each. The advertising company cost me about eight thousand dollars to develop this piece. The response is wonderful. A letter addressed to the right person will do something but not much. It must be a catchy professional piece. It must grab them in the first fifteen seconds or it will be tossed. Something like "not knowing the contents of this package could eventually cost you that big promotion". OK, not exactly this message (I did have to hire a firm for my package) but something clever. A CD with the Dell ad along with "Wave makes it happen" type of a message along with five bullet points in understandable vs gobblygook tech talk would get some inquiries. I will follow up with a call in one week might just get a sales rep in the door. It is late, brain is fried, but it isn't hard to put together an inexpensive campaign. The key point is THEY ARE GOING AFTER AN IDENTIFIABLE MARKET. THEY DO NOT HAVE TO REACH 200,000,000 PEOPLE. ONLY KEY PLAYERS. It makes it easier and cheaper
SKS just needs help with the Sales force. He is spending half his time on calls. He should have a sales crew better than him to do that. A CEO must surround himself with people better in certain areas than himself. Direct marketing to the top 100 firms would not be that expensive but someone really good should do it. No one could have been better than SKS at getting the vision to production. Now he needs help and must be strong enough to not let friendships or established people stay in their positions without better results. It becomes hard to make changes when you are exhausted. He must be. He is in a very high stress position. He must say to someone " you are not doing the job or you need help". We need new marketing ideas or a PR firm.
My personal feeling is that the market is easy to define at this point. Example, the top 1000 companies that have private info above the average company such as health care, law firms, etc. A team of five could go through these numbers quickly. Don't wait for Dell.
Did he mention the 150k seat customer yet?
He sounds nervous and knows how we all feel. Pursuing interesting business is not interesting if we cannot close our 400,000 seats in the pipeline.
Thanks
A very good network administrator came to my office to set up a small system. He insisted on xp pro and hates Vista.Could our closing sales problem be due to Microsoft's Vista problems. His comment was he wouldn't even think about server 08 for quite a while and that large parts of Vista would have to be redone. Again, I am not technical in any way. Just a question.
Matt, I don't believe that is Awk's message at all. It is just critical of the ad's failure to reach a specific target audience with an effective message that would convey in simple language a reason to buy.. Wave did not create or place the ad. Of course we benefited and should be extremely glad that we appeared with prestiges company. It is perhaps more like a teaser that promises more to come.
1260, I may be wrong but in the first chart 3rd quarter, you add the 1.3 resulting in 7.88. I believe it should have been deducted resulting in 5.62 and break even one quarter sooner. Also the second chart the 3rd quarter must first pay back the 3.75 accumulated before it becomes accumulated. Forgive me if it is just late and I am delusional. Any which way it is an encouraging picture.
Also, SRA was granted a "warrant to purchase up to 190,410 shares of Class A common stock at an exercise price of $1.33 per share. The warrant is exercisable for 18 months beginning on the 180th day after the issuance of the warrant. At least SRA believes it will go up.
Also nice buying at these levels IFFFFF......Time will tell.
I don't think it's that bad IF they thought the last pipe would last and it didn't. IF this is the last one. IF there was no way to release news prior. I am obviously not a trader or short term player so as long as the stock starts its historic rise in the next 60 days it would be OK. IFFFFFFF the above scenario is not what happened they should all become waiters somewhere.
Snackman, you hit the nail right on the head! If you can bring it up at SRA, why can't you scream it to the world, drive the share price, cut down on damaging dilution. I still bought more this week (wow, I have been saying that for ten years) because even with dilution eventually we must either trade higher or be out of biz. The second choice I do not believe. The real telling point will be how many shares and how much is raised. If great things are around the corner, get enough money for another quarter or two, then announce, announce, announce and then place more at $6,7,8. If they go for a lot here then we are back to point one. Credibility.
Mine is not "remove mgmt" talk. I believe SKS to be a visionary and someone who has beaten the odds by getting us this close to the promised land. It would be impossible at this point to change mgmt. Who else could have gotten us this far. But, for the first time ever I agree with those that feel that mgmt has a credibility issue. I also agree that it does not matter at this point. We are all in.
As for the idiots with an obvious agenda, why even engage them. For those of us that have always been supporters we have a right to let mgmt know that we are not happy.
A month or two may be enough./eom
Maybe we are jumping the gun. The PP (if there is one) could be anytime in the next few months. I think that if there was one now it would be the first time I really believe management should be removed. With all their pull and involvement in the TCG and having friendships and partnerships that should have developed over ten years, SKS should have enough clout to make a number of great forward looking statements. This would result in a much higher, pre PP share price. In prior years it was different. Now, Wave should not have to be afraid of their shadow. If a PP would happen at these prices then I believe something other than regular business is occurring something rotten where someone other than us is making money.
I don't believe that is the case. Again, one months time can be the difference between 1.20 and 6.20. I have been a huge supporter of management over the last ten years. If there is no increase in SP prior to a PP, that would be the first time I scream incompetence. The alternative is that we have nothing to announce, which at this time is even worse.
What a teaser. Does it ship only because of Intel? Lenovo? The wording "seems to ship" is strange.
Remember, it is only unknown to us.
If a pipe is coming, why wouldn't SKS defend the price more? To get financing at these prices would be truly a disaster and a huge failing of management. Even they seem better than that. So maybe next week we get the following news. (just dreaming)
Monday: TV Tonic sold for 50 million to ........ no pipe needed.
Tuesday: HP fully commits to Wave
Wed: Lenovo decides to finally announce
Thursday: Boeing loves their new wave system
Friday: DOD places huge order for all laptops to contain Wave.
Share price $12 (just starting it's climb)
Dam, need to go buy more shares now.
