CaptBeer, appreciate your efforts. Nice work.
PharmacyDude Mark -Thank you very much for your efforts. I would like to read your article. Can you post it here or post a link? Thank you.
This study is very logical to me. I do wish it was a longer study. But, as they say, if it's successful it will warrant further examination. That said, I believe that the study will be statistically significant as Vascepa (IPE) will inhibit NF Kappa B. NF Kappa B is a precursor to interluekin 6 (IL6). IL6 is a key inflammatory cytokine implicated in the cytokine storm that has been a major in the worst of the respiratory problems seen in Covid patients.
The science tells us that the EPA in Vascepa downregulates NF KappaB which decreases IL6 which is the a large part of the lung inflammation that is the main problem with Covid.
Your average ( 80+ %) prescribing physician will not prescribe an over the counter (OTC) Omega 3. It is not in their paradigm. They cannot vouch for the ingredients, or, for the clinical results. They need to be able to answer the question, "Dr., why recommend an OTC, when you can be clinically sure with a pharmaceutical grade and researched, FDA approved product?"
70% Dr's polled said Vascepa's results would CHANGE the way they practiced!...Univadis, provides health care providers with expert-led educational content spanning both clinical and practice management topics. Vascepa was featured and reviewed by Univadis in December by Neil Skolnick,MD. His review was featured under the category of "Practice Changers". After his review, a poll of practitioner's revealed was performed. The results were about 70% of health care providers informed about Vascepa answered it WOULD CHANGE the way they practiced.....Moreover, one could extrapolate that this number would be even higher as Univadis provides education to non-prescription writing providers like physical therapists and chiropractors and/or non cardiovascular treating physician's like orthopedists none of whom would have need to answer YES to changing their practice.
BioB- I could not agree more on all counts. To further your point when EPA's are balanced then you are controlling nf-Kappa B in the cell nucleus and therefore the genetic expression of the cell and reducing cellular inflammation. This is why I originally bought, held and have now purchased more. (Anyone interested in reading about genetic expression look up Cal tech and nf Kappa B). Best to all.
That seems like the very definition of "Ivory Tower" talk.
Looks like progress to me. EOM.
Jim, when you get a chance, kindly e-mail me a copy of your notes at spiders39@aol.com. Thanks for your efforts.
Heck..if Ernie is back, so am I! After 6 + years here, let's see what transpires next. Good day all.
Funny you should write that, many people will not invest in a company unless they use 9 commas in any opening paragraph. P.S. Hard to believe, but I am still hangin' around. Peace everybody.
Brad make's sense to me....in order to build anything of significance you have to have strong foundation. Strengthening the balance sheet might not seem sexy, but it is completely necessary. I'll leave it at that, K.I.S.S. Be well all.
Hey, wait a minute Bill, I'm on the East Coast...I better check my wallet, or better yet, ask why wife if there is something she wants to tell me? Be well all.
DCS31..nicely recapped. Thanks.
It doesn't hurt. eom.
My perspective on the financing thing for NVI is that the semicondutor industry is in wreck and ruin and it has been this way for several years now. So, the difficulty in obtaining financing seems quite logical to me. Just think back to after the S&L crisis, which probably wasn't "as bad" as this current, 3 year, semiconductor sector depression. After S&L there were absolutely no loans to be had no matter what you were selling. As I recall, the only loans available were very similar to what is on the table from Mercatus. As much as I wish it wasn't, it might as well be 1929 for the semiconductor industry. So, I will sit and watch and hope that my little semiconductor company will be the little engine that could.
Must-See 'Liquid', a solid documentary...This is the headline from today's NY Post. For anyone who is interested, they gave it a very good, 3 star rating.
No need for apology, I got a good laugh out of that one. I am long and strong none the less. While I'm here let me say that I simply remain patient as long as I see "one foot in front of the other" type progress. And, that is what I see.
Let me also ask this aloud. How does one make money in the market? By chasing the hot trend? Or, rather by trying to find a company with intrinsic value (ours is improving) that could continue to grow even while we all remain in a horrificly bad bear market (note: do not let the recent rise in the market fool you)?
I would like to see NV (RIM) start to get their feet wet this year, then muddle through the continuing bear market, and then break out several years down the road as the bear loosens its grip. I like this as a possibility. Be well all.
Well, thank you for sharing Pengy.
Opposite view of the RAQ...they probably have helped keep the share price at up at $.35 as oppossed to $.035. Moreover, do you know any other OTC Co's with an RAQ? I don't. Be well all.
One other thing to remember....Fox Mulder was hired in April with, as per a direct question to Brad, the express purpose of helping sales and marketing. I asked Brad if he thought NV was acting early, given the fact we have no product. Brad thought that the move enabled NV to get a top dog (my wording) to continue the process of setting up the sales pipeline. I take this proactive move as a big positive, as in, the expectation at NV that they feel they will get the funding and want to benready to roll with sales on the Q.T. Be well all.
Let's all hope that Artisan Ent. promotes and markets SIL as good as they did with the Blair Witch. Nice find 427 Thanks.
Cosmo....funding, of course, is everybody's main concern. As I understand it, it could be anyday, never, or most probably somewhere in between the two. This, cloudiness, is not because of any legitamacy of Embarq, but rather, the climate of business today.
There are many "garbage" financing deals out there that New Vis. can take. BUT, that is NOT the goal of the company and taking those loans could potentially ruin shareholder value. And so, we wait patiently. The Mercatus deal is alive and pending (again tommorrow, next month?) and is (again IMO) our best current option.
Along the lines of great news, if you see New Vis. annouce a solid funding package, it will again (IMO) be time to tell your friends enthusiastically about New Vis. because progression will follow relatively quickly after that.
One other thing. I beleieve that any revenues generated from SIL will be used to continue to clean up the balance sheet and also continue tech research as both are important. Brad did mention to look out for the Q2 finacial report as it will continue to show this "cleaning up" of the balance sheet.
I hope this helps. Be well all.
New York with Brad, Ray and Ivan...first off many thanks to dcs31 for his efforts in setting up the meeting. Next let me say it was great to meet my other fellow NVEI'ers in attendance (there were 5 of us total.)They are a quite intelligent bunch.
In a few brief words for this morning, let me say that everything that I have read on this board about Brad and Ray as straight shooting and clean of motive is accurate in my hard-boiled, NY opinion. Simply put they are both immediately "likeable" and "highly credible" people. And not to get too existential here, but, they both carry great energy about them.
As far as information, they told us everything! Just kidding. They gave us the same information that those that follow the company already know. It is just different in a very positive way when you are sitting with them.
So, in closing, the bottom line to me is that we have more than capable management, we know the information that they can tell us. And, lastly, we have a very necessary product with a great shot at big success. Be well all.
P.S. I will try to be back a little later today if anyone has any questions.
dcs31...still interested in NYC on Tuesday, would you post update? Thanks and thanks for your effort as well.
dcs31...I'm interested. Let us know when and where. Thanks for your efforts.
It's a sell-out! All three shows at Tribeca are already sold-out and now wait-list only. Wait list means that you can get stand in line 1 hour prior to the show for a chance someone no-shows. Now I ask, who would dare no-show SIL?
This from the Tribeca Film Festival website.... (www.TribecaFilmFestival.com) "The 2003 Festival Program includes a wide array of special events, compelling panel discusions, and, of course, a full slate of the BEST (emphasis mine) in new U.S. and international feature, documentary, and short films- many in their world premiers."
That is pretty heady stuff if you ask me. As they say, "you can't not like this." Be well all.
Groovy...I will add one more thing here. And, granted, my logic may be twisted. But, my premise has been that NV went public far too early than would be the case for a start-up company of years past. They did this because of the climate, or frenzy (if you will) of that time period. Under the "old rules" NV probably would still not be a public company till this new funding package was in place. So, the 3+ years I am holding are meaningless to me (as these are all development years), the company has made good progress in reaching this point (the brink of profitability) and for an individual to buy shares now, to me, is the equivalent of getting in on an IPO of ten years ago. These are just my thoughts. Be well all.
Mikerub...that was a great summary and commentary. Thanks.
We Sold Something!...I think I may faint. Profits. What a concept. Hey, this is only the beginning. Be well all.
My Goodness! That is an unbelievable review! If you are an NV shareholder, you gotta love this. Be well all.
Nice find Dilt...very interesting article. I have recently noticed more than a fair amount of optimism creeping back into the telecommunications sector. The inevitable breakthroughs in broadband tech (GO NVEI) make this sector a great place (IMO) to look into as a contrarian. Moreover, it is articles like this that make me salivate over my NVEI lotto ticket. I have always followed the links you have posted, just never had a moment to reply. Keep up the good work. Be well all.
Pick it up folks...everything will be fine. That is my opinion anyway. eom.
Immitt... while what you say is correct, I will also add that the MM's know that we have no real milestones for ahwile and they it seems they just notch us down and down as they make moeny doing it. It has been the pattern here since I am holding (3 years) and it won't change until we turn from a speculative company to a profitable one.
The only problem for me is that I remain a true believer. I drink the cool-aid every morning. So, when the price drops way down like this, and even though I have told myself I have enough, I go back to the well and add more shares. I should also add that I have also always viewed this as my own private lottery ticket. In any case I still believe and am having fun with this, so why worry? Be well.
I remain excited. Since the Cooper/Ketch era began all has been "According to Hoyle." That being said, I am sure the company will handle the questions of repeaters and such in the upcoming RAQ's.
No question my biggest concern is the finance issue. New Vis. has made no secret that it is pretty big for them too. Hey, we need some luck here.
But, let me digress back to my original point, I am happy because we are still in the ballgame. That is huge. I know I dumped out of a few previously "blue chip" tech stocks, not only because of tax purposes but because I could have a 50 year window and they were not coming back. Not the case with New Vis., we are alive and kicking and heading into 2003 with real prospects. Away we go! Happy New Year to all!
Does anybody know anybody at CNBC? Great, great stuff this A.M. Be well all.
That was a great teleconference! I have to get home to my family but I will be anxious to read other comments later on. For now though, let me just say that I am much more confident than ever before about this investment opportunity. Be well all.
No question, anytime you get insider buying it is a very good thing to see. Now, as we look back over the last few months and piece together the info, we really begin to see quite a nice picture unfolding. Great stuff! It is all in front of us. Be well all.
