I've gotten quick email responses from Stockcharts, and they are usually helpful. What are you trying to do? Is there an alternative you know?
There is no way to get support from stockcharts. They don't answer the emails, no phone number to contact them. It sucks.
SCC edit list comments problem this morning. The site is not processing changes to a list comments. Anyone else? Thanks
When using PERF CHART
1) Is days trading days or all days?
(Is a month 20 or 30 days)
2) Is the PERF CHART stock price return or total return including dividends?
Toofuzzy
unfortunate. but I do appreciate your response, felt in competent after all my failures ha. Thanks again, take care
Flip, the easy ability to post charts on the forums is no more, as far as I know. It's been quite some time since I have tried. Too bad. I thought it was a great promotion for both this site and StockCharts.com
Perhaps someone who reads your post will reply with an update.

I have spent hours trying and just can't get it to work since the CHART button was removed. any advice? I have read post 6917 and your other post and for some reason just no success
I can't log in at 8:45pm Pacific time.
good post, thank you for saying what you said.
outage today in my location in Mountain Time
nothing will load from SC
you all seeing an outage this afternoon and evening at StockCharts.com?
Storage is not a problem. I don’t believe we allow the upload zip files. Only graphic files.
Hey Dave; I have been posting a lot of charts lately and I am sure other IHUB chartests are doing the same thing. My image (now hidden) gallery is getting kind of full. This is a new thing for me. Does the IHUB server have the storage capacity to hold all this stuff even with humongous Zip files?
Since I joined IHUB I have had over 3,000 posts with charts. If I ever made images of every chart I would have the largest file storage on IHUB. Just letting you know December 24 was a dark day for IHUB live chartists,,,,,.
Dave thanks for the response I dont misunderstand the issue. everyone is working around the issue. Posting a chart involves jumping thru a bunch of hoops and they dont update they become a frozen snapshot which has advantages and disadvantages. Until there is a better pumper Central IHUB will remain the Home of the Pumpers.
That's relatively easy to do here via the iHub website (not app). Save the image to your desktop, then on iHub click Tools --> More Tools --> My Image Gallery (add that to your browser bookmarks for convenience), and upload the image. You will be provided with both a direct link, and a pre-formatted link for embedding the image in your post.
Nope. iHub/ADVFN has the same data and chart availability that can be provided within the scope of its license agreements with the various exchanges and data providers. Indeed, ADVFN is a far larger market data aggregator on a worldwide basis.
The simple reality is that those "disappeared" charts shouldn't have been available for embedding on other websites for a long, long time.
What is unfortunate is your misunderstanding of the issue. You're totally mistaken in assuming this is something within iHub's control or influence. IT IS NOT AN IHUB RESTRICTION. In fact, it has NOTHING whatsoever to do with iHub. I doubt you will find embedded stockcharts.com chart images on any third party websites now.
Market data providers are limited by their exchange and feed provider agreements. They are typically limited to publishing their data within their own domain, which is why iHub has been within the advfn.com domain since 2006. Otherwise we couldn't publish their market data within the iHub website.
What likely occurred here is that stockcharts was audited by the exchanges/data providers and is being required to abide by their agreements. In fact, they said as much:
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=145805615
We are currently discussing making the ADVFN streaming charts easier to use and embed withing iHub posts. The product is already there, but could use some usability improvement.
I am sure StockCharts and IHUB are discussing the ramifications between each other and the impact on subscriptions.
I would like to see a merger/partnership between the two to share the litigation expenses and litigation insurance costs.
Thousands of chart research posts on IHUB posted since inception and existing StockChart member folders over the years were suddenly rendered useless as of December 24.
KrK; I feel your pain and am working on damage control. It looks like IHUB and StockCharts finally had a reality crash with "internet freedom". We have just lost the ability to use the technical analysis tool on the internet.
~~~ I have been using 'selected' ProfitSpi URL's and plugging in new symbols to bring out and post charts on boards where I have an interest in. I keep the template URLs over my chart images to avoid redoing trend lines and indicators with cut and pasting just the symbols.
~~~ As far as researching new chart websites I have quickly browsed through them.
~~~ Right now I am researching IHUB uploading image feature and the aggravation of using my hard-drive for storage or the IHUB storage folder.
You replied to my post, but I didn't see anything helpful to resolve this crazy situation with StockCharts. I even posted a tweet and still no response. I am thinking of signing up for TradingView.com. Any opinion about TradingView or suggestion for an alternative to StockCharts and tips on migrating all my chart data?
Thanks.
E-Mail string with StockCharts.
Richard,
You can right click on any of our charts and save them as PNG image files on your computer's hard disk. You'll then need to work with the people at your message board for instructions on how to upload and display an image file on their site.
Thank you,
Hi Cole,
Welcome to the New Year, thanks for the prompt reply during the busy Holladay time.
If other "not live," i.e., static charts are permitted. And if so, how to produce the appropriate URL.
* Even the executable workbench URL does not work properly. Restricted to 3 overlays and 3 indicators.
Cannot share charts with InvestorsHub since December 24.
Other posters have same problem. Cannot review thousands of old charts from the forum.
Whats unfortunate is Ihub doesn't see it as their problem. All the experienced traders that make money penny stocks use technical analysis. Face it most of the active boards are about pennystocks. If they cant link the best charting service charts then they will likely stop posting.The charts are a record and an excellent learn tool for the inexperienced trader. What will happen when the 30 yr traders leave? What will be left on IHUB a lot of clueless, Newbies and Chronic bagholders all following the lead pumpers into the dirt. Its bad enough here at pumper central that if you not spewing up up and away blabber all day long you get limited to 1 post then all you posts get removed as off topic. Charts dont lie Penny stock CEO and Pumpers spew 80% BS, 19% lies and 1% truth. Charts keep a balance to all the crap posted here. SI and RB fell by the wayside when they became onside or eliminated charting. I left SI for RB RB for IHUB History repeats itself.
IHUB should be inquiring why such a restriction was placed upon them. Whats driving the move.
No response from StockCharts Support
I am a long time paying subscriber to StockCharts.com
I was planning to extend my subscription as there is a holiday promo offering 2 extra months for a 12-mo extension/renewal.
I can only pay using the same credit card I had used previous which I don't have anymore and there is no way to update my credit card info (even though their FAQs say you can):
https://stockcharts.com/docs/doku.php?id=faqs:how_do_i_update_my_credit_card_number_or_expiration_date
I even called their tel# (425-881-2606) and left message.
If anyone from StockCharts is monitoring this message board, please look into in.
And what is the experience of other users as regards their support. NONE of my queries (about a dozen) over the past year for help with the charts were answered. I was hoping an inquiry to help me pay them would be important enough for them to respond to !
Yes, ProfitSpi. In the URL example below the overlays & indicators are saved with the 'get chart' function. After that you can cut & past on IHUB.
~~~ Not as pretty as stockcharts. This really sucks, you know. 10 years and 3,000 of IHUB charts down the tubes.

Copying and pasting charts from StockCharts.com to I-Hub no longer works. Is there an alternative site that will work for posting charts?????
Hi tothe, wouldn't it be wonderful if I could just fix StockCharts.com issues. Unfortunately, I am just an ordinary subscriber.
I have been using StockCharts.com since it was a free service about 18 years ago, and I love a lot of the things they have done with the site over the years, but I gave up some years ago trying to post charts on these forums. Originally, it was easy, and I think it benefited StockCharts.com by exposing potential users to the charts.
Cush
StockCharts are not posting or old posted charts on IHUB. Please have them fix it.
It looks like it is an issue with the hosting website, not IHub.
They may not allowed embedding of those charts, may be frequency capping them, or some other issue,
I noticed the change in chart URL's last month but did not think much about it.
The only way to get a chart image now is with "c.stockcharts" in the URL.
http://c.stockcharts.com/c-sc/sc?s=TREP&p=W&yr=0&mn=4&dy=0&i=p8300256585c&a=634687985&r=1545533761425

Problem resolved apparently. Still no mention on Twitter feed.
StockCharts.com site open but charts not showing for anyone else? For me, it looks like it went down sometime between the close and now. Nothing showing as a problem on their Twitter feed.
Qone0
The posting of live charts on IHUB is a privilege that StockCharts allows on a limited basis due to a friendly relationship with IHUB back when StockCharts first started.
The basic limitations are that free users will be limited to what free members can see, ie; daily and weekly charts with a limited number of overlays.
Now StockCharts members who are logged in will be able to see your complete chart, although it may appear limited at first, but a screen refresh will usually show the whole chart.
When I open your link I see your complete 15 min chart, but only if I'm logged into StockCharts on my browser.
Here's a couple of links which explain this in more detail.
http://stockcharts.com/docs/doku.php?id=faqs:how_do_i_add_a_live_sharpchart_to_an_investorhub_post

It's been so long since I tried to post any of my charts, I don't have an answer for you. Maybe someone else here on the forum will though.
I cannot remember whether 15 minute charts can be posted for non-subscribers to view.
If I come up with anything, I'll post another message, but this is a March Madness weekend, so it will be next week soonest.

Hello, I can't seem to get a link from stockcharts to work here or post a chart.
I am using windows 10 IE as browser.
This is a link to a 15 min chart of XIB. It works fine for me as long as I don't clear cookies. If I clear cookies I get a plan daily chart instead of the 15 min chart.
http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=XBI&p=15&yr=0&mn=3&dy=0&id=p31362207648&a=583633145
People tell me when they click this link they get a plain daily chart of XIB.
When I put after taking off the http:// off all I get is a broken link like this.
Thanks Garden Rose. My version of the Chrome browser doesn't give me a pop-up with Properties, but I will try it with IE one of these days.
Cush found another way to post a chart, really easy:
1. Right click on chart candles.
2. Pop up appears, hit properties.
3. Another pop up appears, copy address URL in center of pop up.
4. Paste the copied URL into post.
5. Higlight your post.
6. Click image to left.
7. Should have a posted chart.
Whatever the issue was with Chrome seems to have resolved itself.
Anyone else using a Chrome browser having an issue connecting to StockCharts.com this morning?
Seems to work normally using Firefox.
All other sites working normally using Chrome.
Thanks for responding Cush.
I will let you know how I make out.
Last month the symbol changed from SGBY to SGBYD. All 200 charts changed a couple of days later. Apparently the date feeds have changed for the better over the last few years.
Hi tothe,
I understand your concern. I don't know that those previously charts will go blank after the symbol change. I gave up posting my charts some months back because I was having issues posting them and didn't have the patience to try to resolve the issues.
Have you tried sending a note to Support? I have found them useful in the past.
Cush
Hi Cush; I have a very long chart thread on the SGBYD board. On October 3 SGBYD will have a symbol change to EVIO. Is there some way for StockCharts to keep my 200 plus posted SGBYD charts from becoming blank with an automatic symbol replacement on all of them on the thread?
This is a start on an very loooong thread.
https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=135035518
Hi nwsun,
Disclaimers first: I don't trade on the OTC market. I don't often look at or trade anything under a buck, and when I do I am very suspicious of chart indicators that can be influenced by daily dollar volumes that might be under ten thousand bucks. Also; I know no more than any other fool. I am not a professional trader, nor a professional stock trade adviser.
I use the CMF on all of my charts as one of my indicators. I don't make decisions based on CMF exclusively, but I do find it useful when used in conjunction with other indicators I use.
You've probably looked at the Chartschool article on CMF at StockCharts. The first of the three steps in calculating CMF is probably the most relevant one in this case.
1. Money Flow Multiplier = [(Close - Low) - (High - Close)] /(High - Low)
Looking at the chart ( I am using the Elder Impulse System but Candlesticks will do as well) you can see that, despite a falling price, on many days the Close was well above the Low, while the Close was often near the High of the day.
That might suggest that buyers stepped in on many days to bring the Close well above the Low. That might suggest interest.
As long as you see that pattern, the CMF calculation stays positive. Usually a good sign. Perhaps these past few days since your post confirmed that.
Hope you were holding some. Good luck with it.
I have a question about interpreting the CMF indicator. Past moves or acquisition on most stocks, the CMF registered in the green zone and distribution registers in the brown zone. What does it infer when the CMF is green and maintaing that green acquisition status but the share price is steadily moving down, as is showing since the middle of July 2017?
In the past, moves upward were shown as green spikes and down as brown spikes impying selling.
This stock recently went through a RS. They have about 40M AS and 7.7M OS.
What does it mean when the green zone is showing for the past 2 months but the stock price has steadily dropped, especially as contrasted to past moves up when the stock showed distribution or brown zone before the next spike up into the green zone.
Hopefully I've expressed my question in a coherent way. I guess it doesn't make sense to me that this stock is showing accumulation but the share price has steadily moved down. It goes contrary to how stocks that have made significant moves upward have diagrammed on the CMF indicator. What is this stock's CMF forecasting? In my view, if a move up was imminent, it seems like it would launch from the brown, below the 0 line, not above... what am I not seeing or misinterpreting? thanks in advance.

Thanks, maybe adding links to intro page would be better.
The service seems to be back online.
Fingers crossed
(5 days to be added to those affected)
Hi Cush, guess you already know they are working on it, or at least the other providers who own that section of the connection are working on it with a big push from Chip.
Just for everyone to know the next time you're not sure what the problem is, bookmark the following links.
One place to check during an issue like this is on their Facebook page.
https://www.facebook.com/stockchartsdotcom/
Appears the service provider (ISP) has a problem with the datacenter and they are working on getting it resolved ASAP.
The other link you should bookmark is the Pingdom independent monitoring site.
http://stats.pingdom.com/g0fdmqv6vgnb
You should also check their Twitter account which will have the most up to date info. Appears road construction, probably a guy with a backhoe, has taken out both the main and backup fiber lines between StockCharts and the internet.
https://twitter.com/stockchartscom
These sites are useful when you are not sure whether the problem is at your end, the middle or actually at the StockCharts site.
Funny how such issues never happen in a boring day...
StockCharts.com now reporting through twitter that both their High-Speed Internet circuits have gone down.
StockCharts.com issue or my ISP?
I have a couple of index charts set for 15 second refresh open on one of my monitors during market hours. Late last week and again today, I am having an issue. I have had to manually update/refresh a few times and right now both charts have changed to reduced settings instead of my default settings.
Is anyone else having this issue?
Yes, it was my first thought when this began happening some months ago that I must be just miss hitting a key or missing a step, etc., but I don't think that's my issue.
The top post-it on this forum leads to an old StockCharts.com page that outlines pretty much that technique you are using, though they haven't updated it with the Permalink button.
For me, posting charts was just something interesting to do on the side. I am in StockCharts all day and have my own fairly comprehensive way of analyzing the stocks and markets that I follow. I have no real need to post my work.
If I resolve my issue, I'll let you know.
Thanks for posting those directions.
I've streamlined the instructions for posting it is clearer than the last time I posted:
Hit Permalink under chart.
Pop up occurs......…hit Reload w/link
Right click on chart.
Pop up occurs....…copy Address (url) which is in middle of pop up
Go to post, and paste what you just copied.
Remove http://
Insert at beginning of URL add this: [chart]
At end of URL add this: [/chart]
It is very tedious, and you can miss some steps, but I think it might work for you if you do it meticulously. Hope so. Good luck.
Hi Garden Rose,
That method you described used to work for me, and I used it often until it stopped working for me several months ago.
This morning, I tried it with the three browsers I have on my Windows 7 Pro computer.
Using that method, I could not get a chart to load with Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer.
Using Chrome and Firefox, at one step, you get a different option pop-up, but with each it is pretty much the same.
I will let you know if I figure out why it is no longer working for me. Or if I come up with another solution.
Hope that keeps working for you.
Cush
