Hi Garden Rose, well that was what I was doing when it stopped working for me several months ago. I will give that a try again later this week and also try to figure out if there are other options.
Thanks for that.
Cush
Cush I did find a way, here it is, I have internet explorer:
Below chart, hit Permalink button.
A pop up will appear, and hit RELOADWITH LINK.
Go back to chart and RIGHT CLICK on chart, A pop will appear.
Hit Properties, another pop will appear w/ADDRESS (url) in middle.
COPY THE URL that's in the ADDRESS (url) box.
Go to board and in the post, paste the url. I use CTRL+V
Remove the http:// from url
put [ chart] at beginning of url and at end of url [/chart]
no spaces between brackets and the word chart.
Lots of steps but it works. Think there is an easier way, hope somebody finds it.
Hi Garden Rose, I had some problems posting charts several months ago and just stopped trying, but I will spend a little time on it later this week and try to come up with an easy solution. If I figure it out, I will post an answer to you.
Anyone else who is still posting charts from StockCharts.com please jump in with an answer if you have one.
Cush
Cush can you update posting charts to IHUB and lots of the buttons/tabs on Stockcharts have changed. Thx.
Hi tothe,
Like you, I am a Subscriber. Going on 16 years for me. I have gotten a lot of value from what I have learned over the years and the charts are integral to my trading.
I don't trade the pennies or OTC stocks. It does appear that this stock is generating enough volume to be of interest to those who do. I don't know how long it's been since your last request, but you might try again.

Problem annotating. Just tried with Firefox. Working normally with Firefox.
Going to check Chrome to see if there is a newer version. Maybe that's the problem.
Problem annotating. I am using Chrome with Windows7. Anyone else having a problem annotating?
When I click annotate the chart moves an inch or so to the right, but no annotation tools appear. Click again and chart moves back to original position.
Sorry there is no way for you to recover a deleted chart. However I would suggest you send a detailed request to StockCharts support and see if there is any way they may be able to help.
Hello Quasi,
I just accidentally deleted a chart on Stockcharts.. it was a good one too!! Lots of annotations :(
Any way you know of to get it back?
Thanks!
Thank you sir!
Did a search there with no luck, I'll try Quasi,,
Losing that one hurt..
Hi griff, I don't know how to retrieve a deleted chart, but it seems to me I have seen this discussed on the SCAN site where there are quite a few knowledgeable StockCharts users.
Quasi may see your post here and have some suggestions.

Hello Cush,

Any way you know of to get it back?

Thanks for the FYI note.
Hope that gets resolved quickly for you.
FYI I am in the middle of resolving this with SCC Support. The new HTML annotation tool does not work for me fully in either Firefox or Safari on the Mac laptop.
The old Flash annotation tool is no longer an option in the 10-per-page view of anyone's chart list, but it does appear as an option at the bottom of each chart when one clicks on a chart to see it alone, such as when one adds new parameters, dates, etc. to the chart.
A longer road to get there and back, but workable.
Thanks for your help, Cush.

Thanks for both notes. The "old" Flash annotation link stopped appearing as an option on my Mac this morning. I tried the HTML new tool when it appeared a week or two ago, but it never worked for me. Ditto this morning.
Think I will wait on the SCAN board until I hear back from Support from my help request and email. I sent a BCC to Arthur Hill but I see he is on vacation right now. We have corresponded in the past, so I was hoping he could chime in. Next week I guess . . .
Thanks again.
You might also want to post on the StockCharts Answer Network. There are quite a few active posters there and someone who is on a Mac may have dealt with this already, or at least able to confirm that the same is happening on their system.

I've been using the HTML5 Annotation tool for quite a while now. I just tried the Annotate: Flash (old). That is working normally on my PC, as well.
Thanks. I also sent them an email so we shall see.
Good Morning. I am not on a Mac, so can't offer a suggestion.
Sure seems like something to contact Support with.
Annotation tool is working normally on my PC with Windows 7.

Annotation problems on Mac
The new annotation tool seems to have removed the "old" annotation tool, as of this morning. Is anyone else using the Apple Mac platform having problems? After clicking on Annotate, all I get is a greyed out screen, with the annotation box for the chart further down the screen, but no annotation tools showing. I was able to double-click on a text box and change the text, but the Save box's formatting is also messed up. [changes did actually save though]
I cannot find a way to edit previous annotations (other than the text box), or to add new ones. The old familiar buttons at the top of the frame are not there.
Thanks.
Thank you Quasi.
Symbol requests:
StockCharts is a site focused on Technical Chart Analysis and thus they do not cover every stock in the universe. Here's a quote from their website covering this subject.
Hi Strong Chart,
When you are in the StockCharts.com site and you request a symbol that is not in their system the page that opens is the Site Search page. On that page there is a link to "Request a Symbol".
Cush
Yes, they are penny and subpenny stocks. Stockcharts has thousands of this stocks in their system. There is any way to let them know about this list? Thanks Cush.
Hi Strong Chart,
As I've said here before, I don't follow or trade the micro-penny stocks on the OTC.
I took a look at a few of the stocks in your list. I am sure some of them could offer a good return if bought and sold in sufficient quantities.
It's a whole different world, isn't it. AXXE just had a reverse split of 1:2,500 shares and it's now trading at a cent and a half. And it shows it traded 4000 shares today. That's about 60 bucks I think.
I am not sure of the criteria for getting a stock added to StockCharts.com, but I imagine there is a threshold of interest and value that must be met.
Submitting a request to StockCharts.com is the only way I know of to get a stock added to their system.
Cush

Hi Lt Corson, someone here may have some suggestions.
You might also try posting your question on the StockCharts Answer Network at http://scan.stockcharts.com/

Hi All,
I am looking for a chart of the dollar amount of stock buybacks over time.
If that isn't available then a proxy could do. Maybe a chart showing the number of companies reporting earnings. Companies suspend stock buybacks for the 4-5 weeks before reporting earnings.
Thanks,
Lt Corson

StockCharts is an excellent value, I've used them for 15 years, they are really the only choice for Charts & Technical Analysis.
But it depends on what you want to do, StockCharts is the very best for the value on charts and technical analysis with lots of world class commentary. If you want an interactive trading platform then best to find a broker who provides that service.
Here's a couple of links to the different options available for the various levels of membership, from free to the top level.

How much do you folks pay per month total for stock services such as stockcharts, Ihub, any other subscriptions, and how many different services?
yeah I could not get in for a couple of hours. Then it was all fixed. I had sent in a feed back so maybe someone looked at it.
Login problem, no problem for me this morning, all normal here.
Here's a link to the troubleshooting page for login problems, it might help.

Frankie, I am just seeing your note now. No problem for me, I am able to log in, as usual. Hope your problem was resolved.
I cannot seem to log into stockcharts today... I get that my password or login id is wrong... so I have them send it to me to verify I am not typing it wrong... well I am doing it right but am locked out.
cannot get in with my phone nor laptop nor desktop.
Yes, around 11:05 PM they fixed it.
Looks like the datafeed problem has been fixed. This morning I'm seeing the updated chart.
Crush: I left messages to Stockcharts Fri, Sat, Sun and today.
I put in my e-mail and answer the robot/human questions. I am at my wit's end.
Well tothe, that's an interesting one.
Looks like the StockCharts.com data feed ends on February 23rd. I don't see anything in the news that would account for that.
Those are good charts you've posted. Why don't you send those along to Support at StockCharts.com. I am sure they will have an explanation.
Please let us know what you find out.

Hey trader guy,
Micro caps are not something I have ever followed.
"Plenty of volume" in that price range may be relative. Past performance and current time range are probably also a factor.
If several requests haven't done it, I would suggest giving it some more time (a month or two) and then trying again if volumes are still consistently relevant within that price range.
The way the markets are going everything will be a micro cap, soon.
Cush
How long does take for stock charts to start charting a stock that they previously discontinued because of lack of volume @.0001, that now trades above that with plenty of volume? I've made several requests for them to restart LTNC but nothing yet.
Joe, that's quite a story. No need to tell me more.
StockCharts.com works well for me.
Cush
I have a free account here therefore it's my last post today. I will respond to your future posts tomorrow.
First of all I appreciate your responses.
Here is how stockcharts build it's business model:
1. For more expensive accounts (Pro, RT) they use NYSE/ Nasdaq data. Nasdaq data is expensive, that is why those accounts are more expensive.
2. For the Basic and Extra accounts they use alternative BATS data.
BATS is trying to promote themselves as an alternative source of information and give basic DATA to stockcharts for free.
Stockharts use BATS data to build CHARTS in real time but supporting information is delayed for 15 min. That is why you can not see volume, supporting indicators and see a yellow candle on the intraday Charts
In 15 min Stockcharts synchronize data from BATS and Nasdaq and update supporting information to catch up with volume and other indicators.
It looks like that they are trying to force Basic and Extra customers to update services and pay more, by delaying information that in the past was updated in real time (CHARTS).
At the same time, once you pay your membership they not refund your money.
This is a fraud and I would like this guys to be investigated.
Hi Joe, data from the Nasdaq seems to have no delay now. Is that what you are seeing now?
Cush
Hi Cush,
I was using stockcharts for 6 years.
The delay in Data was only applicable to OTC stocks. The rest were using BATS network that updated CHARTS in real time, but supporting Data was delayed for 15 minutes to synchronize BATS data with NASDAQ.
In November, they started to lag CHARTS for low volume stocks traded on Nasdaq for 15 minutes... the excuse was that they use BATS network..
ha ha ha
This week they started to delay CHARTS for all stocks traded on Nasdaq.
I have sent them a warning.... in 30 min some of my stocks started to be updated in real time.
Joe, I have been using StockCharts.com for going on 15 years. As far as I know, charts other than the indexes have been on a 15 minute delay all that time. There is a service to have real-time charts that can be subscribed to. For that service, I believe they pay a fee to the data provider or the exchange itself on the subscriber's behalf.
Cush
stockchart sucks big time.
A few weeks ago they started to lag charts to force customers to pay for updated service.
Lagging time is 15 min or more....
On my request to explain the situation, they refer to BATS...
Does BATS delay data for 15 minutes?
Why data was not delayed before?
Anybody can recommend where to escalate this issue, so this guys will be punished?
Thanks. Must have been something local at my end.
