This is true. The 'good" Bob didn't even care if they ran- we're a top 2 primary state- but he wanted them to run under they're full names. That way there would be no confusion. The primary is going to be a real goat rodeo, though. There are 2 "leading" GOP. The convention wasn't going to endorse either one- then they did, but the way they went about it was really bad. One is an ex-Sheriff who runs for something every election and the newcomer is a Black man. First one who's ever run for Gov. here. He's the one that got the endorsement, but I'll be darned if I can figure out why. Maybe because he was convicted of some crime in his past and the GOP seem to always prefer the crooks.

Washington State Governor's Race take a Bizarre Turn

Bob Ferguson was the favored candidate to win the Washington State Governor's race. Washington now has the top two primary system where the two candidates with the most votes, regardless of party, qualify for the ballot in November. With hours to go before the entry deadline, two other Bob Fergusons entered the race. This clearly is an attempt to cause confusion and perhaps even change the outcome.

KIRO News reports: The state attorney general (the real Bob) says if the two do not withdraw their names they have sent a letter to the secretary of state to further investigate this.

Though the bogus Bobs are running as Democrats, this is clearly another Republican attempt to create chaos and clearly election interference.

The Seattle Times posted the following statement from Attorney General Ferguson:

Attorney General Bob Ferguson, the Democratic front-runner in the race, on Monday urged the two others to withdraw from the race by Monday’s 5 p.m. deadline or else risk felony charges.

Let us hope the real Bob is successful.

2 Democratic candidates named Bob Ferguson join WA governor's race to 'confuse voters'

On May 10, 2024, two additional Democrats named Bob Ferguson filed to run for Washington governor, joining Attorney General Bob Ferguson in the race.

SEATTLE (KOMO) — Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson addressed recent developments in the state's governor's race Monday morning, days after two people named Robert Ferguson joined the ballot.

On Friday, two additional Democratic candidates filed to run for governor under the name Bob Ferguson. Right wing activist Glen Morgan posted on Facebook around 5 p.m. Friday that he was the "volunteer campaign manager for two of the Bob Fergusons running for governor. They are both superior in every way to the AG running for the same office, and I believe they can provide better choices for the Democrats in our state for that office."

On Monday, one of those Bob Fergusons told KOMO News he was dropping out of the race.

Ferguson, the Democratic frontrunner, said via X that Morgan's motive is to "confuse voters and diminish votes." Ferguson called the additions an "illegal scheme," violating RCW 29a.84.320: "Duplicate, nonexistent, untrue names."

"The stakes could not be higher," Ferguson wrote on social media. "This is a direct attack on our democracy and the integrity of the Washington state election system that could lead to the victory of an anti-choice conservative like Dave Reichert. Washingtonians start voting in less than two months. We are going to need significant resources to get the message out about which 'Bob Ferguson' to vote for in August."

During a press conference Monday morning, Ferguson said he knows at least one of the Bob Fergusons who filed has previously voted as a Republican. Ferguson added that the other two candidates — both named Robert Ferguson — are from Yakima and Graham. Cease and desist letters were left at both of their homes, Ferguson said.

The Bob Ferguson from Graham acknowledged to KOMO News he had received the letter and would drop out of the race because he doesn't have the resources to fight a well-funded legal challenge from the Ferguson of Seattle.

The deadline to withdraw from candidacy is 5 p.m. Monday, Ferguson said, and if the two other Fergusons withdraw, they could avoid prosecution.

"I do not want them prosecuted," Ferguson said. "I hope these two people do the right thing."

Former King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg stood next to Ferguson at the press conference and said, "What's happened here is we all kind of laughed at it. It was a prank, it was a meme. But it's not funny, and it's also a crime."

Ferguson also targeted Reichert for not speaking out against the recent development, orchestrated by Morgan, the Washington state GOP volunteer of the year in 2023.

"(Morgan) seems only care about enforcing the law in certain situations, he doesn't mind if someone's violating a criminal law, if it benefits him politically. We have national threats to our elections. We have threats to our democracy. This is a threat to our election system," said Ferguson.

Morgan could not immediately be reached for comment.

"I'm not interested in this whole thing," Washington state GOP Chair Jim Walsh said, adding that that he wasn't involved. But he said it found it interesting that AG Ferguson had his "knickers in a bunch when his party created this situation." Walsh said it is evidence as to why the state should get rid of the 'Top 2' primary system.

The Washington state primary is being held on Aug. 6, and the general election occurs on Nov. 5. AG Ferguson is the leading Democratic candidate, likely squaring off against Reichert or Semi Bird, the Republican favorites.

NEW YORK (AP) — Actor Steve Buscemi is OK after he was punched in the face by a man on a New York City street, his publicist said Sunday.

The 66-year-old star of “Fargo” and “Boardwalk Empire” was assaulted late Wednesday morning in Manhattan and taken to a nearby hospital with bruising, swelling and bleeding to his left eye.

“Steve Buscemi was assaulted in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of a random act of violence in the city,” according to a statement Sunday from his publicist. “He is ok and appreciates everyone’s well wishes.”
The assault was first reported by the New York Post.

The New York Police Department put out a nameless statement on the assault Wednesday. Buscemi’s representative confirmed Sunday that the unidentified assault victim in the police statement was the actor.
The police department said there were no arrests and the investigation was continuing.

Buscemi’s “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was hit in the back of the neck with a rock while walking in Manhattan’s Central Park on March 31. Stuhlbarg chased his attacker, who was taken into custody outside the park.

First of all, Trump is under order a gag order. If he directs anyone to make statements that his prohibited from making that is a direct violation of the gag order and the judge must be monitoring these surrogate statements. (As if there wasn't enough going on.)

Second, previous surrogates have not opted to defend Trump on the merits. It's really worth reflecting on that. Republican officials are scurrying up to NYC to launch awful, slimy attacks on the court. Which brings me to my third point

Third, assembling members of the GOP to defend Trump courtside is a raw display of political power.

And again, this has to be emphasized, they are not defending Trump on the merits. They are attacking the court.

Trump has successfully co-opted the GOP to shield himself from political accountability and now he is using the GOP to shield himself from criminal accountability.

That's the difference between 2016/2020 and 2024.

This is a very grave danger.

Wow, definitely not the faces, expressions, and energy of the maga yesteryears. His symptoms will be magnified by all his other mental and emotional issues. This all will be happening at a faster and faster rate of decline.

.................................It’s certainly possible that Trump would have been campaigning in all of those states if there was no trial. But a review of his activities over the trial’s first four weeks shows that he has done little campaign travel, and held few public campaign events, on days off from court. Instead, he has spent most of his 12 court-free days out of voters’ view at his properties in New York, New Jersey and Florida.

And he did not use any of those 12 court-free days to visit Pennsylvania, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio or New Hampshire, states he asserted the trial was preventing him from visiting. (He is scheduled to visit Ohio for a fundraiser on May 15.)

No public events on most free days

Trump’s trial is not in session on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and the judge also scheduled one Monday off in late April. As of this Saturday, May 11, that left Trump with 12 court-free days to do as he pleased, compared to 15 days where he was required in court, in the 27 days beginning with the opening of jury selection on April 15.

Trump held no public events on seven of the 12 court-free days. And it was no public events on eight of the 12 days if you don’t count his one-minute-long appearance for the cameras prior to a private meeting with the president of Poland at Trump Tower in New York City.

Trump has visited few swing states since the trial began

Trump has done some campaign travel during the trial.

He held campaign rallies in the swing states of Wisconsin and Michigan on one court-free Wednesday in May, and he booked a weekend April rally in the swing state of North Carolina that was called off at the last minute because of severe weather.
(He attended a closed-door fundraiser in the state earlier in the day.) He is scheduled to hold a rally on Saturday afternoon in New Jersey, which has for three decades been a Democratic stronghold in presidential elections, and he appeared in May at a Formula One race in Miami.

Trump also made campaign-style appearances in Democratic-dominated New York City before or after three court appearances. And he has turned the hallway outside the Manhattan courtroom into a de facto campaigning venue, regularly speaking to media cameras before and after sitting in court.

But he has let the majority of the 12 off days pass without doing any public campaign events. Instead, he has spent some of the time golfing at his Bedminster club in New Jersey, attending a Republican National Committee fundraiser at his Mar-a-Lago club and residence in Florida, attending a Mar-a-Lago dinner for people who bought large numbers of his “NFT” digital trading cards, and making phone calls and holding meetings.

His complete itinerary on the off days is not known. Here is a list showing how he is known to have spent his time from the opening day of the trial, April 15, until May 11.

The simplest way to deal with their tweaking is to use Rules.
Create a folder called Food (or whatever you want to call it)
When you get a message from say Chef Pancake- create a rule which says Send All messages from Chef Pancake to Food folder.
If you do this with each one you'd like to keep- eventually they will all go there and not into your junk folder.

I just had a fight with Microsoft. Or rather, asked the poor online chat person with whom I was connected to share with his superiors how pissed off I am.

You will not be surprised to learn that MSFT has been tinkering with Outlook again. They do that incessantly, and it is annoying. Recently, perhaps in response to complaints about how blocking spam and reporting pfishing doesn't have any effect at all, they suddenly wiped out tons of stuff in my junk mail that I actually wanted to receive. I only DON'T want to receive it if I block it. That's how it's always worked, but no more.

Okay. I can handle that. I was still getting some of my food stuff in junk mail, and some in my inbox. So now--actually a few days ago--they decided to make it impossible for me to click on any internal links in junk mail or stuff in my inbox. If I do, they say "blocked pop-up". An internal link is not a popup. Even the most moronic developer should realize that.

And so I got on the online chat feature. The guy with whom I spoke--or should I say "interacted"?--was a perfectly nice contract worker from, perhaps, Pakistan. I explained the problem. He told me everyone on Outlook who uses Safari is suffering from this problem, and assured me their developers are working hard to deal with it. I expressed my skepticism about the priority level assigned to that task.

My chat guy suggested I download Edge. I said if I download anything, it'll be Firefox, since I was already dealing with a software problem caused by MSFT. And then apologized to chat guy, saying it wasn't his fault.

He told me I was the nicest person he'd dealt with today.
