My Take on the Show Last Night.
First of All the one that survived from last year group was Arthur Gunn, I have no idea what people see in this guy, he can't sing in my opinion.
Anyways, Not a huge fan of the theme this week, as songs are generally not great for contestants in a show, not that they are not a great songbook, just that most of them don't play well with recording artist types, and would be better covered by broadway types in my opinion.
Caleb- Not his biggest fan, was above average for him, But just can't get behind his tone for the most part. Grade C+
Willie- Not the best song, he did okay, and sang it relative well. Still his voice will carry it to a certain level. Grade B-
Deshawn-Didn't love how he did that song, it was like he turned it into a combo of jazz and broadway, and the combo didn't work. Grade C-
Casey-Not my favorite song from her either, but the girl can literally sing anything. Has the best voice in this competition and it isn't even close. Grade B
Alyssa- Any time she powers up during a song, it is met with pitch problem and a variety of key issues, and that is problem. She was doing good until she belted out, and than the usual problems happens. Thought it was a weak Performance. Grade D+
Arthur- Once again, I don't think this guy can sing, I said it last year, I continue to say it. Grade D
Cassandra- I thought she did a decent Job, and decent song. And not to say she was perfect vocally, but thought she did better than A lot here. Grade B-
Chayce- He did decently on that song, in fact it was one of the few where I felt had the right song for them last night. We know he is limited vocally, but last night was solid too be fair. Grade B
Hunter- Didn't love it this week, actually was better last week when he forgot the words. His tone wasn't great for me on that song especially. Grade C-
Grace- She tends to overdue, and although there was a little of that here, I still think she vocally had the best performance with the best song. Hence I thought she was very good and one of her better performances. Grade B+
I thought they should cut.
Arthur
Alyssa
Deshawn
They did cut
Alyssa
Deshawn
And Cassandra (I wouldn't of cut her, as there are more than a few I would of got to before her, including Arthur, I didn't like the rule of bringing them back, but could you imagine he wins this thing, he cannot sing in my opinion, but it didn't hurt him last year, and It is not apparently hurting him now. I still Say right now my top 3 is Casey, Willie, and Grace in the top 3 in that order right now. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
good reviews. its fun to be back chatting about this with you about this show.
In fact On Sunday show the last 3 were the best by a country mile. Casey was one of my favorites going in but was surprised she was able to pull that off, because that is not exactly a rock song, which means her voice really can sing anything, that is so overused in singing competition by judges, but if a rock singer can sing that song so well than at the very least she has a huge variety of songs she can sing well which is impressive.
Secondly I liked Cassandra the vocal wasn't perfect, but it was good, and it was a high degree of difficulty song, and she did very well with it, and made you feel something. She was the one who sang the bond song.
Third I Like Willie the guy who sang last he did very well with that song, admittingly him and casey were my favorites going in, but they didn't disappoint. Cassandra came out of nowhere for me with that performance it is not that I haven't like her in some performance, but she will be a little hit/miss, lets see next week if she can put two back to back, and find some consistency.
As for the others on Sunday, The only bad vocal was Beane who did the dirty dancing song, thankfully he was cut that was bad in my opinion. I mean Hunter made messing up a few words into a tear jerker, I mean I get your irritated and how you deal with that is up to you, but I mean he carried on and on, I actually didn't mind the actual performance on him to be honest, but the reaction was a little over the top for me, this is a competition you got to be able to move on from mistake a little better than that, I'm not saying I would be able to hide emotion either, but that got very uncomfortable as the judges kept going on and on. The rest of the People nothing really stood out, some people voices were more limiting than I thought (Chayce sang Robin Hood song), others continue to pick bad songs for them (Grace), that doesn't help, and some are just average. But my favorite 3 were the last 3 and it isn't even close on Sunday.
As for monday, my favorite two were Mikahlia who sang anyone, although she gotted a little choked up at the end (Was the best vocal of the night, outside of the last note where she got a little choked up), and the english guy at the end who sang the original song (He sang much better than I remember last year, but to be fair his original song I found to be pretty good). The Aliana performance she can sing, problem I had with it, is she didn't seem to have that much of and arc to the song, after a few seconds it seemed like she was belting the whole song, and not that she can't do some things with her voice that are pretty good, when you build it up, not when you built it up quickly and than just stay there just sounds better. Having said that I had her down as the third best performance on Monday. They were better than I thought they would be because last year's group was not exactly strong and I'm being nice, maybe singing to a live audience helped than singing at a wall.
Anyways that is my take on this week. All is just my opinion of course.
ok, soooo, you sucked me in and here are my thoughts, being that i just started watching and taped it... so i had 2 shows to watch..
YOU sir, are right... its way better this year and i got lucky to see the show, from about 2 weeks ago of these kids singing the classics... i really enjoyed this...
sadly, most of the boys/men cried after singing, but now days its hard to find manly men.. we know that...
Ms. Casey, sang “over the rainbow”... that song moved me, being that they said she is more of a rocker hard core type. so, she did good with a loving song like that.
then this last week’s show was the “come back” of those that didnt make it before. mostly, i see why, lol. but, I liked Aliana, who had a Cher like voice but different.
Harry Connick Jr sand and it was horrible and depressing.... and I like his stuff, but not that one. fast forwarded through the rest.
I also like that the singers dress up a bit more, as it should be when you are on stage.
thx for pushing me to get back to watching this show.
it used to be my favorite show, years ago, and then it got sad and boring and poor me stories, but you were right, its better this year.
I get it. I almost didn't watch this year for the simple fact I thought the talent last year wasn't that great. But decided to see this year, and the talent has been significantly better in 2021, The highlights are worth watching for most of them, although there are a few that weren't great, but some were really good though.
ccol! as you know, I.....
....
stopped watching it due to all the boo-hoo poor me, so vote for me” stories, lol. also, the screaming vs singing.
maybe i will check out some of the highlights on line.
Last night in my opinion was the best show in years. They literally had a decent amount of good to very good performances. I literally counted 8 people that weren't even debatable that should go through to the next round. There were a bunch of other who were above average, but I'm just talking about the ones I found good and better. That is a lot out of 16 people in my opinion.
cool, well, its great to hear from you again.
I still watch, and watched sunday. I get the sob stories I thought about stop watching this year, because I thought the singers from last year were the worst I have heard in any of the contests by a country mile. For the most part the people that got through on sunday I would of put through except one exception, and 1 person I heard didn't get through that I thought deserved too. Other than that The show on sunday wasn't bad if you can get passed the sob stories. To me it gets more interesting once we get to hollywood week. But I will probably keep watching, but there were a few signer this week that I thought were very good on sunday, hopefully there is more. All is just my opinion of course.
Hi skillz and onebeg, i am once again a paying member, vs a free member, on ihub but gave up watching Idol.
too much drama and “vote for me because i have a hard luck story” so im not watching.
hope all is well with you two.
looks like you guys also stopped posting here.
hope to hear back just to see how you are doing now days.
Hi one B. while ihub is allowing free posts, I just wanted to drop in and say hi.
While ihub is allowing free posts during the holidays, I just wanted to check in and say hi.
My Take on the Show last night
Well first of all it was very different not seeing them on stage, but understandably so with current situation.
1) Kimmy- Solid Vocal, Excellent Voice, Didn't love the song, but she can flat out sing. Only knock I find is sometimes she overdoes it a little. Still a very good job Nonetheless. Grade B+
2) Jovin- Good song choice, Solid Vocal and more importantly made you feel it. I really like the performance. Grade A-
3) Franklin- I didn't like the song choice for him, and I thought he was off, and it was waaaaaaaaaaaaay too draggy for me. I didn't like the way he pronounced his words either. Below Average for me. Grade D+
4) Olivia- Not my favorite song But she can flat out sing I will give her that. One of the most talented of the season in my opinion. It was very good can be even better with a good song choice. Grade B+
5) Louis- Don't love his voice, the song was fine, but he also sounded choked up as well. He was just average for me. Grade C
6) Makayla-- Didn't like the song choice. She sings fine, and I should like her more than I do, but something is missing here in my opinion. Slightly Above Average for me. Grade C+
7) Alaina- Like the song, but the song was too big and needed more control of her range than she can offer at least at this point. She had some vocal issues in the transitions, but did hit some good notes as well. Overall Far from perfect, but sang a very hard song, and hit a decent # of notes correctly, slightly above average for me. Grade C+
8) Faith- one of my least favorite coming in, but she did pick a good song for her. And overall Did way better than I expected, far from perfect and when she powers up she loses it a bit on the control front. But overall did a slightly above average job. Grade C+
9) Nick- a tale of two songs. 1rst Half of the song was boring and flat and the 2nd half was pretty good. Overall average for me. Grade C
10) Lauren- Well She had the best background when she sang I will give her that. I never loved the song she decided to sing because it never has a build, it is one of the constant foot on the gas pedal songs from start to finish, which I don't love I have to be honest. Having said that the girl can flat out sing in my opinion. Will be better with a better song in my opinion. Having said that it was still a good vocal despite the song in my opinion. Grade B
11) Cyniah- Her tone isn't great, and also very pitching in a lot of parts and nasally as well. Near the bottom for me, and definitely below average. Grade D+
12) Francisco- I thought he was average at best, for me I thought he was slightly below. Didn't love that song for him either, can't see a guy singing that song for some reason, plus I din't love how he changed it either. Grade C-
13) Sophia- For the most part was very good, except one bad note, problem is that bad note was the big power note. Still Solid above average to me bordering on good. Grade B-
14) Duane- The Christmas tree being up in April was memorable. I disliked the song choice, I disliked his arrangement, and I thought it wasn't very good and I'm being nice. Grade D
15) Dillion- Didn't love the song choice, a little nasally for my taste, and the band drowned him out a bit as well in parts. Was just barely Average for me. Grade C
16) Arthur- Terrible song choice, Personally don't like watching him performs as his eyes wander in to the top of his skull. His vocal was below Average as well. Grade D+
17) Julia- Didn't love how she changed the song, but didn't strongly dislike it either. She can flat out sing which helped her in my opinion. Overall thought it was a good job. Grade B
18) Grace- [Picked a good song, felt it completely I thought she has good control with excellent power and decent range. One of my favorites of the night. Grade A-
19) Just Sam- She sings well, problem is I never heard anyone sing that great, outside of the originals. And she didn't either because nobody can recapture the emotion she had with it. Still Like her voice which helps, but could of been waaaaaaaaaaaaay better with a song that would help, that song helps no one except the original artist in my opinion. Grade B-
20) Jonny- It was okay, it was pleasant but not anything more than slightly above average. Grade C+
Conclusion: I think Kimmy, Jovin, Olivia, Lauren, Sophia, Julia, Grace and Just Sam should make it. The last two spots are between a bunch of people for me if I had to choose I would probably take Alaina and Makela, but you can replace another 4-6 artist here and I would not say a word because those last two spots for me are like between 5-7 singers for two spots. All is just my opinion of course.
well, I had stopped...………………………
…
taping it for the b/s but am only just starting to tape and watch it again, to see how it does during the virus and all. maybe a good singer will immerge?
I am just listening to the talent, if it isn't good, or if it's sad stories I skip it.
sounds good. I gave up but will start to tape it again now that its past that silliness.
I miss the old idol.
remember, I can only post to april 17, per ihubs extended free time.
good review. and remember, I wont be able to post here after ihub ends their extended "corona" free time.
I may watch again since they have to avoid crowds, so I will chime in if I can.
miss ya!
Hi Gail. They have a lot of talent this year, I record the shows so I can skip all of the boo-hoo crap. However, we are at the part where the public starts voting, and that is where they really started falling apart in the past. If they appear to be legit in vote counts, I may stick with the program.
Well I've been watching this season FWIW. There are some really good singers that made it through to the top 20, but there is a number of ones who shouldn't of made it through and did, and than there were a few I was like how in the world they didn't make it, yet they were cut. I know some of this is subjective, but sometimes I felt like if you were a early favorite you were allowed to struggle though out the process and get away with it. Just my opinion of the situation. Anyways have a great night.
Hi "one" and "skills"... I can post, thx to ihubs corona virus extended happy hour.
i stopped taping idol since they allow the super long sob stories and only the weak and non talented get through. but I do miss you two and I miss posting about real talent.
Oh yeah. I get busy and sometimes welcome some just in case I had failed to so earlier.
I already did once. Not sure if it stayed up there.
Sure, and feel free to drop in on any of my boards at any time.
Ya, you did like her the most but i too am glad the depressing mumbler didn’t win. I said this is my last season watching but i bet i will watch the next time. Maybe i will see you back here.
I was shocked that Alejandro was still standing and Madison was eliminated although I believe this was one of her weaker vocal nights, maybe it was nerves, still she should of finished ahead of Alejandro. But the people voted for him for some reason. My preference for the season was madison, but I was happy to see Laine win when she was eliminated, because to me there were only two contestants deserving of winning all year, and he was one of them in my opinion.
Haha, yup, no more mumble mouth. Will you still keep in touch when you can? I may have to pop in to your other threads to keep in touch.
I am so glad Laine won; was worried ABC would through it to mumble mouth.
I was surprised at Madison's performances, it must have been a case of the nerves, because she really got with it.
I was also glad Laine went back to some country.
Take care board.
Just finished the finale and caught up with the live tv, even though I taped it. it was 3 hours long!
here we go...
round 1-
- laine- rough start but go much better. I love his songs. b+
(oh and judge katy's boobs were falling out so all show long she had to hold them in. ridiculous.)
- Madison- rough start, she cracked some and was off key... c
- alejandro- aka mumble mouth... back to his old ways, high pitched and depressing. d
round 2-
they get the royal treatment back home, thats always fun to see, and then they sing their 2nd song on stage..
- laine- aw, so touching with the family and he had a huge fan base so thats good. loved his songs that he is bringing to the younger generation. A
- Madison- not that many fans waiting on her, not a good sign for her. she was again off key, flat, was really bad. D
- alejandro- ok, I cried during the sweet time he had with the kids singing his own song but he also had a massive group of fans, that worried me. his song was same old high and boring. b-
then I skipped/fast forwarded through the tons of freak show acts and horrible music that others did on the show. back to the idol singers.
round 3-
- laine- loved it. they are all tired, and rightly so.. he was very good and is elvis reincarnated, lol. A
- alejandro- same old stuff. c-
- I lost my note on Madison, but whatever.
omg, it was between laine and alejandro!
Laine won!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yippy!!!!!!!!
as you know, the winner must sing their winning song that idol writes for them... he sang and did great but they let all the losers of the show on stage to grab all over him for one last chance to be seen on tv. that was kind of embarrassing.
good job Laine!
see you all next year. I guess I will keep watching, why not? then I can have something to complain about, lol.
love you guys here on ihub. I hope to see you next time. dont give up. its just us 3 here.
HARR!!! And when I am done I will post a pic of my latest project.
post a pic of the project! we..
..
want pics! and laine is my hero, dont make me smack you around, lol
Sunday Night Top 5 Perform
Sorry for the late post, got busy with projects yesterday after catching on posts intending to post on the show after a small project was done as it was being up that afternoon; but it ended up being a 4-hour project, UGH!!!
Per my usual, comment taken before hearing the judges comment, this is because I think the judges are delusional. Ratings are 0-5 stars and post written before I read anything on the board./
Bobby Bones Song Picks:
Wade - His usual, 3 stars.
Laci - This song choice really pointed out where she is weak, 2.
Alejandro - Better than usual abut still, 2.
Laine - His fake ass teeth glare like a lighthouse and he's starting to bore me, 3.
Madison - This was was wrong for her, had her reaching too much for some notes, but still, 4.
Elton John Songs:
Wade - His voice has become more strained each week, but I think it is now gone, 1.
Laci - Bad song choice once again, she'll never learn. I have always hated this song, Laci failed to change that, 1.
Alejandro - Smart song choice here, one of his best, 2 1/2.
Madison - A lot of , I should not be hearing gasp/gulp air, , still, 3.
Laine - This was good, one of his best, 4 1/2.
Inspirational Songs:
Wade - This is the kind of song Wade can and should be doing, 3 1/2.
Laci - She keeps on picking songs out of her skill level, 2.
Madison - Great at times, but the misses hurt this, 3.
Laine - Again he got this one right, 4 1/2.
Alejandro - Absolutely horrible, 0.
I would send home: Alejandro & Laci.
America Sent Home: Laci & Wade, Really? Alejandro stays???
The winner tonight was clearly Laine.
I am beginning to smell an ABC rat, and I think that rat wants Alejandro to win; this happens every year since ABC bpought the show.
oh, I think you mean "gargling" like you gargle with mouthwash?
https://www.google.com/search?source=hp&ei=rkTaXLmNG87H_Qbk5ayoDQ&q=gargle&oq=gargle&gs_l=psy-ab.12..0l10.1578.3126..5138...0.0..0.87.434.7......0....1..gws-wiz.....0..35i39j0i131.EUMotveVJyQ
By the way, what do you mean when you say “goggling”?
Sometime he gets a tone like he is singing underwater a little bit, his voice gets this strange tone, and than his voice breaks a bit as well, hence it give me like a goggling sound, ever try to talk with with water in your mouth, not that I would recommend as you liable to spit all over your self. LOL. But you will have a different sound.
The simple answer is his voice make a strange sound maybe it is unclear my analysis because I never heard anyone sound quite like that (It also has another negative outside of the sound makes him struggle with clarity), but it is clearly because his voice is damaged by singing metal. It is not his natural voice, he blew out his voice singing that way it is a shame. All is just my opinion of course.
Hi skillz, here’s my take on last nights show..
...
By the way, what do you mean when you say “goggling”?
We agree on the mumbler Alejandro, he was really good tonight, for the first time.
Round one-
Wade- blah but ok. C
Laci- too soft but good. B
Alejandro- mumbled on this one but was good. B-
Laine (who is my Favorite) loved it! Sings clearly, could have been stronger. A-
Madison- rough, off key and boring. C
Round 2-
Wade- horrible yet the judges gushed. F- Not sure if i can give worse than f but i just did.
Laci- good for a song she just learned but pitchy at times. She looked amazing though. C
Alejandro- did great, b+
Madison- very good yet a bit pitchy. A-
Laine (my hero) but whoops, he did a song no one really knows, out of all the tons of Elton songs he could have chosen and it was boring. He even looked bored singing it. B-
Round 3-
Ok, wades letter to his mom got my waterworks going.. it was very sweet and touching but his song was horrible again. D
Laci- blew me away, wowza! A+
Madison- pitchy, boring but pretty good. B-
Laine- aww, i cried again when he talked with his brother. Song was ok, not great, i worried about him getting through. The judges wrote him off in the comments they made, as if he will be kicked off.
Alejandro- wowza on the piano, wow! And i understood his words! A
Top 3 is laine (yippy!!), Madison and Alejandro.
Good choices for tonight. Yes, Alejandro stepped it up. I just wish he would lighten up and stop the high pitched sad songs week after week.
My Take on the Show Tonight
1) Wade- Decent song choice for him, not much goggling which is a plus for him. The downside is the performance was kind of draggy, overall I thought it was slightly above average. Grade C+
2) Laci- Flat in parts, kind of another draggy performance, with a few bad notes in there as well. below average. Grade D+
3) Alejandro- Overall for him a decent vocal, in reality that means an average vocal. Don't get me wrong it was flat in a few parts, and he fell off some notes. But overall did enough to warrant a average performance. Grade C
4) Laine- Didn't love the song choice for him, felt like it didn't show off his voice enough. Slightly above average overall for me, far from his best. Grade C+
5) Madison- I didn't love the song choice for her, it was far from a perfect vocal, as there were several imperfections, but still I would say solidly above average. Grade B-
6) Wade- Flat as a pancake, and the music was drowning him out during the song as well, below average and not very good for me. Grade D+
7) Laci- Another terrible song choice for her featuring music drowning her out most of the song, and when it wasn't drowning her out she didn't sing very well and I'm being nice. Grade D
8) Alejandro- I thought this was the perfect song choice for him. As one knows I have been begging him to go for weeks, so one knows I'm not a fan coming in. But I just liked the delivery of that song, and it was his best performance to date by a country mile, and I realize that isn't exactly a complement. But that was the first time from him during the whole show that I actually enjoyed his performance. It was good. To say I was shocked was and understatement. Grade B
9) Madison- Stated out decent, but did go off the rails a bit towards the end, with some serious pitch issues, which made this one of her weakest performance to date, just barely average for me. Grade C
10) Laine- Overall solid song and solid vocal. This was a very good performance for me. Grade B+
11) Wade- Didn't like the song choice again, the goggling was back again in parts of the song. Wasn't terrible, wasn't great either. My definition of average. Grade C
12) Laci- Overall a decent song choice for her, wasn't perfect, but overall was done solidly/good for the most part, her best performance of the night than again her first two weren't very good and I'm Be nice. Grade B
13) Madison- In my opinion the best performance of the night and it wasn't even close. It was a combo, of good song choice, with good emotional vocal, that was executed real well for me. Grade A
14) Laine- Overall I thought it was a solid performance, with a consistent good job, something for the most part I have become used to with Laine. Grade B
15) Alejandro- First off I like the way he played the piano on this performance I actually thought this was another good vocal. To me he had his best night (and I realize I'm not saying much) of the entire show, if this was the first time I would of watched him I would of clearly said he should of been the top 3 with Laine and Madison, but a good night doesn't make up for a season in my opinion. Having said that I thought it was pretty good. Grade B
Basically to recap.
Best Performance of the Night: Madison (Round 3)
Worst Performance of the Night Laci (Round 2)
Winner of Round 1 Madison
Winner of Round 2 Laine
Winner of Round 3 Madison (In a landslide)
Overally I would of put though Laine and Madison to be honest didn't care about the third choice, but if I was going just of today it pains me to say this Alejandro out sang the other two tonight and by a decent margin. it didn't change how I feel overall, but I can't ignore the fact that I thought he had a good night either. America choose Laine and Madison, and that like I expected they picked Alejandro. At the end of the day as long as ,Laine and Madison ere in the finale I really didn't care who was the 3rd choice in my opinion.

Yes, I think Jeremiah has a really good voice; he needs to learn how to stay in his lane, and he's got some learning to do, but I think he is a good singer. He's not the best by far. The reason I thought the judges might save him is because the judges seem to have liked more then us and the fans.
Love the comments, but honestly, have you closed your eyes and listened to jeramiah? I would turn the station on the radio.
Got a giggle again about “mumble mouth” you are so right.
Wow, we so agree.
My Take on the Show Last Night
1) Madison- I'm usually a big fan, but I thought she was pitchey in parts. Overall I thought it was decent, but far from her best. Grade B-
2) Laine- Solid but far from his best as well. Decent vocal, but just didn't love the song for him. Grade B-
3) Jeremiah-I didn't love the song choice, and very, very pitchey. I thought it was a mess. Grade D
4) Laci- This was perhaps the worst I ever heard that song sang. Yes it was that bad in my opinion. Grade F
5) Alejandro- I didn't think that was very good, unclear and not a great vocal. Not that I'm shocked by this it is the expected outcome at this point, why this guy is still here is baffling to me. Grade D-
6) Wade- Overall Picked a good song for him. I still have my doubt that his voice holds up over the long run. Heard a little goggling for a brief instant but overall did a decent job. Grade B
7) Madison- In the world of most difficult song choices she loves going for the highest degree of difficulty. Excellent vocal for me with only slight imperfections. Grade A-
8) Alejandro- He sings a original song, which was better than his first song, still wasn't good though. He really should have been gone for weeks I believe. I just don't get it. Grade D+
9) Laci- Way better than her first song, there were imperfection, but overall thought it was a good vocal, and one of my many favorite song she sang. Grade B
10) Jeremiah- Started off very pitchey, and got better in the 2nd half. The end was very good. Overall a good performance. But he solidified for me in that performance he is not a recording artist, he is broadway in my opinion. Grade B
11) Wade- Don't love the song, waaaaaaaaaay more goggling again, very unclear. didn't like it. Grade D+
12) Laine- Overall I thought he did a very good job on the song, and thought it was a very good performance. Grade B+
My two cuts would have been
Alejandro
Wade (But could of been Laci, or Jeremiah, and there would be no objection at this point.)
Too be honest outside of Madison and Laine there is such a distance for me between them too and I have been saying it for weeks but as the weeks went by the margin just get wider. The other can have a good performance except Alejandro, but they also have a lot of misses along the way as well.
They inexplicably keep Alejandro again, judges save Laci, and send home Jeremiah. At this point too me all I want to see is Laine, and Madision as the final two if America gets to that they made the right call in my opinion. I believe Madison should win, but Laine is a solid #2 in my opinion.
I was shocked that once again that idiot Alejandro made it through, and while I Jeremiah is a very good singer, he was not going to win. Madison is out in front of the people left, but I also think Laine could win.
When is America going to send The Great Poser Alejandro home???

Madison VanDenburg: Probably the best singer in this contest and has been for a while now, but this was a wrong choice of song for her. Joplin could push a song and I thought this was a bit weak, but it was still pretty decent - 3 1/2 stars.
Laine Hardy: Good song choice, for Wade, Laine was OK here, but nothing near great; not enough heart in this performance, a bit flat emotionally; when Ray Charles and Joe Cooker sang this you felt thier pain/love/sorrow - 3 1/2 stars.
Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon: We'll done, this was in his wheel house, so I expected more, as good as it was, it left feeling a bit short-changed in performance; maybe it's high tone - 3 1/2.
Laci Kaye Booth: Knowing her voice when I heard of her song choice I was worried for her, again this artist does not have enough power/push to do this song, I was right, she was too mousy and weak, it was flat in emoting; why does she keep picking the wrong songs? If she stays in her lane she is a good singer - 2 1/2 stars.
Alejandro Aranda: Boo! Hiss!! Hiss!!!I wish mumble mouth would kicked off of this show, I can't hear him, I can't understand most of what I do hear and a huge poser - 1 star.
Wade Cota: Smart song choice, this is where Wade belongs, This was not as good as I thought it would be when I heard what he was going to sing, but still it was very good - 4 stars.
The Inspirational Songs:
Madison: The best voice on the show just proved it with a damn good performance; wasn't perfect but it was damn good and best of the night - 5 stars.
Alejandro: I am so mucking tired of this fake azz guy, America please send this chump home!!! 1/2 a star.
Laci: Why oh why does she keep up with the bad song choices! Whoops, she did a great job, much better than I thought she would - 5 stars!
Jeremiah: I am not a great fan of high pitched sing, but good is good and this was damn good - 5 stars.
Wade: This was a good, a fairly decent performance - 3 1/2 stars.
Laine: I never really thought of this as an inspirational song, but Laine did a pretty good job of it 4 1/2 stars.

America Sent Home: Jeremiah & Laci; I am shocked, what the hell is wrong with America???
The Judges Save Laci, I thought for sure they were going to save Jeremiah.
I would have sent home: Alejandro and Laci.
My pic for a winner at this point is Madison, hands down she is the best at this point, but I would be surprised to see Laine win, but then OK, with the way the Great Poser Alejandro keeps getting through, I would not be shocked if he won - truly this show is nothing near what it once was.
Ok, for once, I will post first vs being the lazy one that posts after you all, lol.....
..
Madison- not feeling it but they are all learning new songs so fast so its hard on them. B
Laine- excellent! A+
Jeremiah- churchy, boring and annoying. D
Laci- out of her wheelhouse but loved the outfit. C
Alejandro- the stage and graphics was amazing but he gets an F
Wade- the song, once again, fits his voice and was good but he is not a winner. B
Madison- good but got a little off key. B-
Next round....
Laci- sand “open arms” one of my favs... and OMG I loved her version. But then it went weak and off key yet Lionel said it was spot on key. Lol
Jeremiah- he clearly picked this song and the words for his agenda, and I do love the song but not for his reason. Screechy as usual, and very gay. It’s ok I say that since he said he was gay like a million times. We get it.
Wade- his “head banger” past really came out here, and I didn’t care much for it but he seemed to have the most fun yet. C
Laine- OMG... he made me truly lol in the pre video... loved the song as well, was tapping my foot to it, glad he is introducing this to the kids now days. He dressed the part and is what America needs!
Votes are in...
Staying is..
Madison
Laine (thank God)
Alejandro, ugh
Wade
And the judges save lacy and send the “happy” guy home, lol
meek and weak, I love it!
The wife and just could not understand the kid being there at all, it was a very bad performance.
We so agree, good review. My wife and I have the same trouble with mealy-mouthed Alejandro, can't understand most of stuff.
Last night show was mostly weak performances, even the good ones under-performed.
