Chart and Link Posting 101 see #msg-40998598
, includes screen shots for all the steps along with some tricks and tips.
Adding a new chart to your iHub posts:
1.) Create the chart on StockCharts.
2.) Click on the "Linkable Version" link below the chart (VERY IMPORTANT!)
3.) Right click on the chart, select "Properties" from the popup menu that appears.
4.) Right click on the "http://stockcharts.com/..." link in the middle of the dialog box that appears and choose "Select All" from the popup menu.
5.) Right click again on that same link and select "Copy" from the popup menu.
6.) Create your message for InvestorHub. Right click inside your message where you want the chart to appear and select "Paste" from the dropdown.
7.) IMPORTANT: Replace the letters "http://" at the front of the link with the word "chart" surrounded by square brackets - i.e., "[ chart ]" (only don't type the spaces!)
8.) Finally, add the letters "[ /chart ]" (again, no spaces!) to the end of the link.
Here's an example of what your post should contain when you are done:
[ chart ]stockcharts.com/c-sc/sc?s=$COMPQ&p=D&b=5&g=0&i=p74909487301[ /chart ]
Here's a live example:

Please do not include more than four charts in any single post.
Notes:
Anyone can post daily or weekly charts anywhere on investorshub.
SCC members are able to post and view intraday charts as well.
If a member posts a chart with more than 3 indicators on it, non-members (or members who are not logged into StockCharts.com) will only see the first 3 indicators. Ditto for charts that using intraday information and charts that are longer than 3 years in duration.
If you get a red X instead of the chart, make sure that you have copied the chart URL from the "Properties" page that appears after right-clicking the chart. (see above)
If you forget to click "Linkable Version", your chart will stop working after about 45 minutes.
Converting a SC1 chart to an SC2 chart on iHub:
1.) Right click on the SC1 chart in any iHub post and select "Properties"
2.) Find the "Address (URL)" area and then use your mouse to select all the stuff from "chart=" thru the end of the URL.
3.) Press Ctrl-C to copy the selected text onto your computer's clipboard.
4.) Close that dailog box.
5.) Add the following text to the iHub post where you want your chart to appear:
[ chart ]stockcharts.com/c-sc/sc?
Note: Don't include spaces - If I type it correctly above, iHub gets confused.
6.) Press Ctrl-V to paste that text we stored in Step #3 into your post.
7.) Add "[ /chart ]" at the end of the text we just pasted. (Again, type it without any spaces)
Voila! That should do it. Here's an example of what your post should look like:
[ chart ]stockcharts.com/c-sc/sc?chart=BA,uu[e,a]dhclyiay[db][pb5!d20,2!f][vc5!c20][iut][ /chart ]
