I agree on a lot of what was said about the doc's and the Fed but, I think this goes much farther than that.
As most of us know...MJ was used in the medical field for hundreds of years...legally. But, in the 30's the large Pharma Companies discovered synthetics which could be patented and sold for long periods of time for huge profits as exclusive to that company. At that time we did not have the tech to uncover exactly what the molecular structures were and how to patent a NATURAL substance, or, combine the structures with other things out today to target specific illnesses. That is why it was lobbied to become illegal. Not to mention the money made to put folks in jail and all related occurrences. Just my 2 cents here.
