The feed stock is a particular type of waste plastic for which they have to pay material and shipping costs. In addition, 'HTF' (IE: Waste oil products) is a significant component of the feed stock.

Mix it all together, add some magic catalyst discovered on old NASA weather data tapes, heat it up and viola you have naptha and diesel fuel that costs more to make than what JBI can sell it for.

No worries though, the machine will be perfected next quarter, or the quarter after that.

The average tipping fee across the country is a shade under $50/ton.
Assuming a company landfills 1 ton/week for $200/month it would take 40,000 months or 3,333 years to equal the purported $8 million price tag for a processor.

*I didn't factor in any potential oil revenues.
