I think people are way to concerned about motives here. Look at the claims a poster makes, check them to the extent you can, refute them if you disagre, applaud them if you think they are right. Whether someone is long or short or out doesn't mean everything they say is right, wrong or irrelevant, respectively.
IMHO, it is always a mistake to accept an allegation from a court filing as proven fact no matter how much one might benefit from its being true. It is also always a mistake to reject an allegation from a court filing out of hand without checking it against other sources of evidence simply because the person making it is a scumbag or because it runs counter to your investment strategy.
Personally, I think EBS is one of the most valuable posters on here. (Although I don't think it is terribly relevant, I also happen to trust his motives more than many other posters.)
