There really isn't anything they can do other than file the documents that are being requested.

Consider this: would you take over a company that is in Chapter 7? If you would then all you would be doing is buying debt and putting it on your books because there is no value left. Why would you want to take over debt that you didn't accumulate? It makes no sense to speculate this type of scenario as it is very far fetched.
