Is that the "super" "special" merger? Every security has a global identifier attached to it. New stock vs. old stock will have two different and distinct identifiers. I don't know why this merger is going with a Cusip and not an LEI. Cusips are being phased out.
But S&P owns cusip. Their office is 2 blocks from mine in FIDI, I hail cabs in front of their line of black town cars on Water St.
Before you get a new Cusip, you should announce the completion of the merger on Item 2.01 first. Nothing special about that Form 8K, no "Super" either. Just publish the normal ol' regular ol' 8K under Item 2.01.
Then we will talk merger. Until then, this is all BS.
