I stress the average investor because they do not know it is a game and what is going to happen to them.( BTW, if one knows it is a game and to play it accordingly, they are NO longer an average investor:)
This was not a problem in past history as the average investor in the great majority did not participate in the stock market; but since at leat 1995 the average investors participation has escalated massively, such that the majority now do.

I disagree entirely. AG is playing his own game, not Bush's. The Fed Governor has never been under the control of the president (see Bush #1 for confirmation) and much of that is for the reason that in general, politicians have no clue about monetary policies and therefore are more comfortable delegating that responsibility. If the Fed screws up the politicians have a scapegoat, if the Fed does well the politicians take the credit.

Win or lose, it is Greenspan's game, not Bush.
