I too proved the FCC web site by searching for Apple. They do have a Grantee Code from long ago. To go further, I searched for the code on the back of my iphone and did find the code on the phone was in the date base and valid...

Doome? No, not doomed. But, It is illegal to sell or advertise for sale any products regulated under Part 15, Subpart B until their radiated and conducted emissions have been measured and found to be in compliance. In order to get a product code, the measurements must be made and filed with the product code application.

FCC enforcement is not the strongest in the world, but they are aware that this company is in violation of Part 15, Subpart B of FCC regulations at this time...

There is an option to download the entire GRANTEE database so I did so. The entries are in chronological order. The last entry was for 09/15/2011. Apparently the FCC is not keeping this database up to date. The naysayers probably new this already and just decided to use it to create an issue that is non-existent.
