They use those negative articles as a "reason" for the pps to drop when its actually manual manipulation to trigger sells.

FnF are the most manipulated stocks over the past year or so.

I agree with you about the "average Joe and Mary". However I dont think its as much about being brainwashed as is it about not knowing or not caring. There are at least thousands of homeowners that don't know the house they were able to buy was because of FnF. There is a web site for these people just to find out if their home loan is being backed by FnF.
