I have tried before to find a correlation between indices option buying and future market direction, I could not find any correlation, so I do not look at these.

i second that question. :-P

earlier in the week, on an a.m. when the p/c ratio spiked to ~1.5 (or maybe 1.44), a big chunk of that was two large blocks of qqq 24 jun or jul puts.
