OT: Bucky & All,
I’ve been feeling weak and run down ever since my last bout with the flu a couple months back, and lately it had gotten much worse. Then a few weeks back I discovered I was developing a carbuncle on the back of my left thigh; this is not all too usual for me as staff runs in the family. However, this was a bad one that just wouldn’t come to a head, and it was getting bigger and bigger. Tuesday morning the pain woke me up, so I drove to urgent care, five hours later they removed an abscess from my left thigh, it was fifteen centimeters in diameter. I came home Saturday afternoon; all in all, I was lucky; the surgeon told me if I had waited much longer I might have lost the leg, or possibly my life.
I returned to school today and all went well, I have two midterms to take that I had missed that week, and I only have two days to prepare, so I’ll say goodbye for now and catch up with you folks later.
Lucky One,
Gary
