DJ PRECIOUS METALS UPDATE: No Decision Made On Silver ETF

MARKET TALK: No Decision Reported Yet On Silver ETF 1849 GMT [Dow Jones] - There is still no decision on Barclay Global Investors' proposal to the Securities and Exchange Commission for a silver exchange-traded fund, say officials in the press offices at both Barclays and the SEC. The SEC has said there is no definite timetable on when a decision will occur. Interest in any ETF decision remains high among silver traders, especially on a day when the Comex silver futures surged 40 cents.
