There's no reason you can't make money leading up to the R/S.

I'm not playing it, I'm doing what you are suggesting, that's only because I now do not have the time to pay attention on a daily basis or to dig into details as often. So it's a huge risk for me to play on a daily basis.

But there's money to be made right now.
