Whenever Bob pulls over the SI Sentiment into iHub, it may be possible.

The only way it would possible to separate JOB from JOB would be if it was in a field that said what ticker the post was about.

Which is exactly how the sentiment on SI works.

JOB will always be a problem on full text search because it's a common word. Why is "hdsn" a problem?

and reduce: "get a lot of doodoo, because of common association."

Just need to create additional options to Search: [Public Msgs]

Search: [Public Msgs on All Boards]
Search: [Public Msgs on Free Boards: OTC BB, Listed & Nasdaq]
Search: [Public Msgs on Free Boards: Canadian, Foreign Churakian]
Search: [Public Msgs on Premium Boards: Stock Clubs]

Question for BobZ: Would this reduce the amount of database being searched?

Using your example: Message Results search on: "JOB"

Lots of non stock boards you want not to be searched.

I didn't receive any comment from you for my post to you.

I realize that I appear quite unfriendly towards BobZ and Dave,
and I guess some of that rubs off on Matt, but Matt can take it :o)

I rewritten that post into what may be a better approach.

Please quickly scan through this post, for eventhought its long in line size,
its really just a listing of boards obtained for: Search: [Public Msgs]
using your example: Message Results search on: "JOB"

I listed the boards obtained,
then relisted them with non investing boards filtered out,
then reoranized that second list by board name.

The filter and sorting is all done after the database access is finished,
and should have near zero impact on Bob's speed worries.

I'm implicity asking anyone here if they would want non investing boards
to be filtered out of their Search: [Public Msgs]

For sure those members heavy in chat type activity would not.

So either Matt can have it an option in Settings,
or simply add another, as in:

Search: [Public Msgs]
Search: [Public Msgs Investing Boards Only]

hopefully one knows which boards are most and not likely to be relevant

Not sure anything can be done about that, but something to be aware of if you are searching for tickers within posts. Good idea to search for both.
