I hope things there continue to be ok for the average citizen, but in my opinion they have a long way to go before they bottom out - things will be getting worse before they get better. Before it is all over and their economy can begin a sustainable recovery a lot of changes will have to be made, and the lifetime guarantee of employment may be one of those changes.
