Fishdog,
Many seem to feel that this is just innocent childish chest pounding by the STP. But as Art said, in a different context I believe, this just doesn't add up. If the STP'ers are just interested in self esteem they did not do thierselves much good in that regard by throwing a fit after having OKed this already. Looks to me like they can't decide if the signing would be good...or would it be bad. We can't decide so we will let everyone gather for a ceremony and then take a dump on it. If they had any credibility or distinction they could have said we need more time before agreeing to a ceremony. They come off as idiots...not muscle flexers.
I could be wrong, but I have to think that the STP'ers are being put up to this by others. And there are others that stand to gain much if they could get thier hands on an additional operatorship or 2. I don't buy into Freze's theory that mulitnational oil companies are above mixing it up behind the scenes. I thought I recently read about one or two going to jail for bribes. Then he praises the integrity of Offer and in his next post he posts an article alleging that Offer has pulled all types of corrupt deals to get where he is. Go figure.
Am I a conspiracy theorist? Only when other senerios don't make sense.
