I think that only Honk Kong formally pegs to the dollar, China does it "informally". Yet, a lot of our trade is with Europe and Japan (and surprisingly, Canada and Mexico...).
A low dollar vs the euro make US goods much more competitive in Asia vs European goods. That's more important than being competitive vs Asian goods -- a tall order even if Asian currencies are free to float. Boeing should be happy.
