Look, Intel isn't a stock that you'll lose your shirt on...I don't worry about permanent capital impairment at these level, and the dividend at my cost basis is still enough to counter inflation ;-). My concern is on just how much return we can get after a couple of years of under-performance (after all, that's why we're in the market, right?)...and I think if Intel can get its mobile house in order, even with PC still weak, we shareholders can make out pretty well. If not...then it's all on the PC and I'm not about to make a bullish call on PCs until I get more Q4-like datapoints.

My observations re: the 'defections' are merely for informational purposes :-)

There's still a pretty good opportunity here to roll over into GE at approximate yield equivalence.

I unfortunately have no opinion on GE, so I cannot offer any meaningful opinion on whether you should swap them.

There's still a pretty good opportunity here to roll over into GE at approximate yield equivalence. From reading your thread I should do it asap...ne pas?

I believe they have very good prospects. Despite their long history they seem to me to be innovative and forward looking. My only worry is the finance arm, that sort of thing tends to have a destructive effect on the rest of a company I believe.
