Re: AMD debt rating having no impact due to financing being complete

You have got to be kidding. I know, from your posts on RB, that you are far too intelligent than to believe this won't have impact beyond the stock price. Just one less leg on this three, no make that two, no make that one legged stool.

Sheesh!

econo, glad to hear something other than the black cloud mentality here. Your scenario in the last paragraph has the ring of truth to it, to me at least. Unlike '99/2000 though, OEMs of all sorts know the possibilities and that survival of(even prospering despite) Intel's wrath is possible and worth it. And in its own way, Opteron has the same sort of "enthusiast" support (in different circles) that Athlon had early on. I think the odds for success are better than those for failure.

economaniac-I have enjoyed your posts immensely for years now and I must say I agree with your thoughtful conclusions. Many post to argue the megahertz myth and the technical merits and advantages of FSB, but I desire more insightful investment
debate and dialogue. The last two times I saw Moody's downgrade AMD I watched their stock climb higher. Also I see their new product line infusing the company with new revenue.
As far as Intel firing up their PR machine, yes that is happening and once again that is my sign AMD is going higher in the coming months. I have my largest holding yet of Advanced for the coming teens and I will enjoy every minute.
Best to you...
