Actually, I did not give up on music for a long time and kept writing those pieces, but no one was willing to get these performed (g). I just exchanged one form of creativity (music writing) for another (inventing...). My son is still young, and he already had his first symphonic work performed (well, that was at college, but it still counts), so he is way ahead of me.
