More on justification

This is wrong. The theater may just be testing me to see if I actually might pay otherwise. In other words, they assume that I would be paying if I wasn't movie hopping, and therefore tell me that it is not ok. If they knew for certain that I would never pay for the second movie, and that there are empty seats in theater, why would they care whether I watch it or not? What harm have I caused them?

This is total justification. I still maintain the true test is to announce your intention and see if it is ok. I knew a person once who shoplifted. He said that he used to work for a store, and they have built into thier price structure an allowance for a certain amount of loss to shoplifters, so there was no real harm being done when he took items that didn't belong to him. I'm sory, but I just ain't buying it. If it is ok, then you should be able to tell the person you are taking from what you are doing. If you have to sneak in, then you have done wrong, and deep down you know it. The only way it can be justified is to announce you intentions and get approval for your actions. Rogue is right - you are trespassing on someone else's property without permission, in clear violation of thier property rights.
