#18157 RE: infamous #18154

LED's for growing plants.

LOL Like i said. his purpose was NOT to use it for MJ. Ooops. False assumptions eventually KILL the PPS of a stock. Back to no bid until he changes his mind!

Actually it doesn't matter if the CEO did not intend for his lights to be used for growing pot. Thomas Edison didn't either.
---
The false assumption is that the ceo's intention of the use of the product has any bearing on PPS or whether it falls to no bid. HID lamps were intended for warehouse lighting, outdoor lighting and lighting for manufacturing and assembly. They were not intended for growing pot or any other crop or flower for that matter. Did this lack of intent affect the HID manufacturers in a negative manner? Or, was it enhanced?
---
These lamps will be the standard grow light of the future. They produce a more robust quality of light and can be tuned to more closely mimic the same color spectrum as the sun. A single lamp could easily be tuned to produce the exact color temperatures needed for seedling development, growth stage, and fluorescence (flowering)all from a single programmable unit.

They also produce much less heat and much less energy to net similar results.

Check the energy consumption of LED v.s. Metal Halide

Electrical usage is 33.9kwh/day at a lower rate per day of .07 per kwh = $2.37/day of power to run an LED setup
@ 0.15/kwh the daily cost would be $5.09/day

Annual Power Consumption HID system
$1533 @ .07kwh per year
$3300 @ .15kwh per year

Annual Power Consumption LED system
$865 @ .07kwh per year
$1856 @ .15kwh per year

So if the CEO changes his mind about his intention, what IYO will happen?
