Personally when I call a business, especially one whom I intend to profit off of, I would like to be reassured that I've contacted the right place so I don't ask an ignorant question.
It's like if you were traveling to say Denver, CO and you wanted to order a pizza from Domino's wouldn't it be convenient for the employee who is manning, lol Peyton, the phone to answer "Thank you for calling Domino's" rather than this.
"Hello?"
"Is this Domino's?"
"Yes"
"Alright, wasn't sure if I was given the correct number"
"I understand, how may I help you?"
"I'd like to place an order of; ... "
Maybe I'm just an asshole, or a professional.
