A complaint was filed on Feb 10, 2014. Eddie was indicted by GRAND JURY on Feb 12, 2014 for theft of 11 paintings worth between $20,000 and $100,000. Plaintiff is Gary Veytsman of Dallas claims Vakser stole them (unlawfully appropriated and took possession without consent) on or about Nov 1, 2013.with the intent to deprive the owner of the works.
The indictment was signed by “Craig Watkins --Criminal District Attorney of Dallas County, Texas” for being “against the peace and dignity of the state.”
Eddie is identified as living at 2504 Northcrest Dr, Plano TX (his residence and Protek Capital’s “principal address”).
The District Attorney issued a warrant for his arrest on Feb 12th and the bail status is stamped “Unaprehended.”
On Feb 24, 2014 (Monday) a lawyer notified the court he would be representing Eddie in “The State of Texas vs. Eddie Vakser” (Cause #F14-00082-V). This was filed with the court yesterday (Wednesday).
