Bill, it was so long ago; I think it was the Winter 1989 CES; back then CES was held twice a year!. I met Kramer that summer of 89' TMMI wasn't an even an company yet. We talked about the technology and he mentioned that one of the big wheels from MSFT approached him about an acquisition, but he; Kramer, who was representing himself, had other ideas. I'm assuming it was Bill Gates, because I also read it here on IHUB many years later, so what Kramer told me, was correct. I had no reason not to believe him!. The company that would of handled the transaction for Bill Gates would of been "Cascade Investments " there is no record of this because it was all through the meeting at CES and nothing ever developed from it. The big news that Kramer was excited about was that he; Kramer was "in talks" with others and he couldn't mention anything about what the big news was, by the early 90's TMMI/MCI partnership transpired. CES 1989 Windows was at version 2.0 and Bill Gates also announced Microsoft Office at Comdex that year and he was already looking at expanding. It was very exciting, because the PC had brought the power of digital electronics to individuals. But almost nothing was mobile or networked. Kramer knew time was on TMMI 's side, his vision was that the computer needed to catch up to the technology that he was developing...Which bring us here today less then two weeks, 8 business days TMMI TRUDEF "finally" moves onward and upward!.
