First of all, the "MERGER" is no given: It must pass the FTC &
that has NOT happened yet. The number I read was 30% & it is easily
MONTHS AWAY!!! Regardless NTEK can & will make some noise before then:

Cable & Internet Service Providers would be WISE to snatch
this little company up BEFORE Mitch Lowe, Alan Stone, &
others BUILD IT BIG & STRONG...just my view.

It's ALL COMING TOGETHER!!! :-D

Net Neutrality was definitely designed to make the practice of selectively throttling bandwidth illegal. The bill did not pass but it is by no means dead. That sort of a practice is not currently executed by any companies (at least not publicly) and would be a HUGE PR disaster for anyone who does end of doing it.

that being said it is actually a really good thing for the NP-1 either way that it ends up going due to the small bandwidth required by NTEK to stream 4k they will not have to deal with such issues.

We will end up paying extra as the costs are passed on to the consumer.

They can pick and choose who they will allot bandwidth to.

But the can't just cut anyone off.

Effectively the are cutting it off through slowing it down - by rationing bandwidth.
