LMAO i just talked to an independent about all this! The np1 can stream as low as 6mbps! He said its standard for all homes to be between 9 and 10 and actually anything over is out of spec.

Lol no offense buddy but before FiOS I had time warner for years. The speed fluctuated all day long, depending on how many people have cable in your area. My friend in an apartment complex would lag off of XBOX live with time warner, because his "up to 15" was being used by so many people it was more like 4 down and barely 1 up.
Even with the "up to 30mb" that my father has, I was still unable to stream programs through his computer without it lagging, which never happened when he had Fios.
Cable internet is not strong enough to stream 4K, and is why for retail, as of 2014, it WILL fail.
