That's been my belief as well. I can see, though, that there might be another point of view.

Susie, as explained to me (by a site administrator and a lawyer) there are two ways to look at it:

a) Netiquette says the contents of a PM should not be disclosed UNLESS one has specific permission to do do;

b) Legally, it is yours to do with as you please.

IMO, disclosing the contents of a PM without permission cuts off a valuable line of communication for exchanging ideas and resolving disputes.
