But that opens up another question that has been in my mind for some time. On days where I've suspected dilution being sold by the large block clearing trades going thru, I've noticed the short volume/volume ratio to be low compared to days when dilution isn't being sold. Is this because of the counting of the dilution shares through sale to retail and the clearing of shares in large blocks both being counted as separate volume, or in essence, double counting the dilution being sold? I have long suspected something of that nature but was never 100% sure of it.
