ajtj, the sequence you are showing have very different time frames, the 47% drop in 2000 was roughly from March to May (2000), the 47% drop from 2098 was from January (2001) to October, and with significant "structure". So I am not sure if the equivalence is there. Mind you I am not turning bullish here, but I have no way to get right now an actual "run for the hills" signal until few things happen, they could happen Monday or two weeks down the road.
