DABOSS: If the company made an announcement blaming the demise of the promised DivX device on Collier's failed business plan, I didn't see it. Would you be so kind as to repost it here?
I did see on the investor's FAQ page that the wedigmusic.com site is being reevaluated as part of the old business plan that may no longer fit, but nothing about the why the DivX device was scrapped.
Also can you point to even one time-line announced in advance by e.Digital that they actually met? The track record is worse than abysmal.
Knowing that APS is just a small part-time company owned by a cargo handler for Alaska Airlines, I will be very surprised to see anything big happen with the so-called "IFE device" which is merely a DivX video and audio player. I don't see any advantage to it over the existing DVD/CD players already available for rent through InMotion. IMO, this will end up as just one more expectation that EDIG management created that ends up in ruins.
I notice that EDIG seems to be ashamed of its partner since on its partner page it simply refers to "APS." It uses the wrong name when you click on the link, calling it "Airline Protective Services" instead of the correct name: "Aircraft Protective Serives" and it it does not give the web link as it does all of its other "partners." IMO this is because the web link exposes APS as the rinky-dink operation that it is. If EDIG were transparent, they would give the link, which is http://www.airprosys.com.
