"As of December 13, 2013, an aggregate of 135,752,043 shares of our common stock were issued and outstanding and were owned by approximately 5,344 stockholders of record."

Stockholders of record doesn't include all shareholders (like brokerage accounts). The reason why this number is so high for SIAF is because all those Avanza accounts etc. are included in there (I think).
