You're 100% sure there's not the slightest bit of propaganda in your slide? I.e. "hardball" marketing?
I don't think Intel gets much of a benefit of exaggerating their capabilities vs. TSMC. I think the chart reflects what they believe - and it communicates 2 major points:
- States that Intel intends to increase density for 14nm and 10nm at a faster pace than they have in the past - Acknowledges TSMC's public process roadmap, which states that 16nm will use a 20nm backend, which means limited density improvements
