#129653 RE: Colonel Sanders #129651

Who the hell was supposed to be the main software developer of the Moblin/MeeGo operating system going forward?

Much like Android, Meego was a code base around which phone vendors could include their own shells and wrappers. It consisted of the Linux code base (which is public domain, to which Intel is and has been a contributor), plus a number of drivers and routines Intel would add to optimize for power, performance, and capabilities (like Cellular, WiFi, camera sensor, touch screen, etc), plus whatever Nokia or other phone OEM would have as their "value add". Android works the same way, by the way, except Google does a bit more in terms of a basic default shell (the "Nexus" variety) than Intel had planned to do with Meego.
