so how did it happen... well as i recall the slanderous article about Dr. Menon from some years back quoted a colleague of his who disavowed his role in the creation of the clinical indication that became a blockbuster... if you have spent any time around the world of drug development, then you know it is filled with massive egos... and it is a pit fight where the participants are jockeying to gain credit for the winners... to get there names attached to the winners, both for prestige and remuneration... when Dr. Menon's colleague allegedly threw him under the bus in regards to his role in developing this drug... he was, from a very technical and narrow, point of view... accurate... Menon did not have his hands on the clinical portion of the research... he was however, instrumental in its pre-clinical development... this is why he won the award you have posted a photo of... they don't give those away for meaningless contributions... Menon's name is all over the pre-clinical phase of development... he clearly played a vital role... some might argue, myself included, that he played the most vital role... the skill, intuition and knowledge to pick winners in their pre-clinical development is critical... my investment thesis is that Menon is gifted at this vital task... if he is, CTIX will be a huge winner... time will tell...
if this stuff makes you nervous... sell and move on... the SA piece was about as unbalanced a piece of journalism as you will ever see... so unbalanced that in an earlier age it wouldn't have been considered journalism at all...
time alone will definitively answer the question of Menon's giftedness... and seriously folks... Dana Farber and Beth Israel are simply not in the habit of parterning with pseudo science, shams or scams... the days ahead promise to be interesing ones to be sure... Kevetrin is in the final laps of its p1 trial at DF... the data from it could be a dud... or it could be the shot heard round the world in the war on cancer... glta...
